They do not honor their word, they do not stand behind the products they sell, and I found them to be highly unprofessional to deal with. I purchased a ring which turned out to be defective. I requested my money back which they refused, but did say they would fix it - they did, but the ring broke again, and they refused to fix it. Said I had abused it, which I did not - they called me a liar. I am in business myself, and I know all business owners have to deal with challenging customer relations issues. I wasn't too sure about them because they were not at the top of the list of Rolex retailers in NYC. Still, I wanted to see what they had to offer. What I found was astounding! They are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. Absolutely no pressures and they almost go out of their way to make you comfortable offering Espresso and just making sure that I was comfortable. Their salesperson was incredibly knowledgeable and was able to answer all my questions. Even though I had my mind set on a new model, they had a huge selection of pre-owned models which were in mint condition! I ultimately bought a pre-owned Datejust 36. The savings as compared to buying a new version was incredible. The watch was fully documented and I walked out knowing that I purchased a legitimate Rolex. These guys also offered great follow service. I cannot thank and recommend the people at Avi & Co. enough. Maybe one day I can also afford a Richard Mille, or dare to dream, a Patek Philippe watch. (Then don't sell me a lemon and give me my money back) No way,won't give me a refund, will fix the ring though) So the owner gets upset and says he's going to fix it for the last time like I'm the one taking the stones out or something,or maybe yet I'm wearing it on a construction site duh!!! I really wanted this particular watch they have, so I ordered it. After paying them $45000, I called several times. I finally spoke with a gentleman who said the watch had been shipped. I was looking to buy an engagement ring and decided to head to The Diamond District in NYC. I did not know it was going to be so difficult especially when you are on a price limit. Sure if money wasn't an option then it would be easy, but to get the right size/color/and clarity on your budget can be challenging. I must have went in a dozen jewelers before I got to Avi & Co. I was pretty much hopeless on getting a ring that day until I get to them. In the dozen stores I went in prior all of them had a hard time finding me a GIA certified diamond with in my price range. They pretty much told me to get lost. That's when I realized I had to raise my budget for what I wanted. But that's not the issue, it was the way I was treated, not only could they not find me what I wanted but they didn't even want to show me anything else when I told them my budget. It was like this is what it is take it or leave it. So after about 10 jewelers telling me pretty much the same thing I decided to go home, and on my way out I stumble in Avi & co as my last stop. Turns out it was meant to be. They were very friendly and helpful to start, they had a very pretty selection on GIA certified diamonds. Everything in the store was really nice. Besides the great selection, unlike the other stores they were very interested in my business and went above and beyond to show me many different options even after knowing my budget. I ended up finding the perfect diamond for me, I knew it was over my budget but they worked with me so well that I didn't have a problem spending more, plus I knew after visiting other stores that I would have to spend more anyway. With the setting that I wanted and the GIA certified diamond that I choose I was able to go back couple of hours later and it was ready. It was very beautiful and amazing.
