I was in the market for a new watch to mark a life event, and through a few months of research, I decided to get myself an Omega. I reached out to Element in Time as a customer from out of state, and they offered the BEST price shipped. I contacted them about the piece and was told that though it is not physically in stock, they would be able to source the watch and to give them a few days. For the price I was quoted, I was more than willing to wait. Personally, I'm a customer that has no problem missing out on the in-person "AD" or boutique experience, especially if it could save me some money. In a day I was sent a message, letting me know that they were able to source the watch, and I just had to be patient while they received the watch to inspect and forward on to me. Relatively recently, it started running slow, so I sought advice from several watch shops here in Los Angeles and only got vague and contradictory advice about dealing directly with Rolex. I came across Element iN Time NYC as I was searching for a particular model of used watch. I reached out to several sellers, and ended up on the phone with Gary. He patiently answered all of my questions, and walked me through their process for ensuring authenticity, as well as the service they do on all of their watches. He encouraged me to take the watch I received to a local AD to have it verified as authentic, which I did. I received the watch exactly as pictured on the website (it was used, and minor scratches, which were very clearly shown in their pictures, matched up exactly to the watch I received). It was packed inside a protective case, in two different bubble-wrap envelopes inside a shipping box inside another shipping box. All the extra protection was a good thing, since the outer box did get dinged up quite a bit, but the inner items were undamaged. Simply put, Gary Videira, co-owner of Element iN Time in New York City is the most professional, knowledgeable and helpful person I have met in the watch industry. I have purchased two watches from Gary, a new Jaeger-LeCoultre Tribute to Deep Sea in 2013, and more recently, a previously owned Panerai Pam 00089. I purchased the Panerai during a short trip to New York. When I arrived in the city I told Gary that I was interested in seeing a Pam 00089 listed on the Element iN Time website. Gary explained that while that particular watch had been sold days prior to my arrival, he had recently taken in the same model in trade--fortunately for me, its dial and hands were in superior condition. Gary was kind enough to meet up with me in the early afternoon even though he was quite under the weather. In presenting the watch, Gary pointed out the superior dial and hands, but was direct in noting that the case needed a bit of work. He assured me his repairperson was up to the task, and that the end product would be great for daily wear. He did not exaggerate. The watch is beautiful, the work on the case excellent--and the price I paid, quite fair. To top off my visit, I brought my son back with me in the early evening to talk watches with Gary. As my son was just about to graduate from university, I wanted to find a special graduation gift for him.
