Well let me start off with the fact they are over an hour away from our home. Considering they have ruined us on any and all other burger and fries, it might become a habit. Husband had the Blackberry Bacon and Blue Cheese Burger. I do not on the norm like blackberries, but on this!!!! The blackberries sweetness stands against the strong overpowering blue cheese and they meld well to make a wonderful tasting combo. I ordered There Goes My Gryo.....how did they get a freaking lamb burger, a very lean meat be that juicy!?!? I dont know but with the peppers, tomato and onion made a fresh hamburger, might be good with some kalamata olive....but I am not complaining. It was delicious. I am picky on my fries and usually dont eat the full amount restaurants serve. I had to stop myself. They are more like a shoestring but not hard or crunchy. Seasoned wonderfully! My suggestion you go in there with a big appetite, grab lots of napkins and be ready to devour the best burger you've ever had!

I had the medium rare bone-in ribeye for $49. It was slightly over cooked but not by much. I didn't like the taste of the rub/sauce on the steak as it tasted a little sour. I've never eaten a steak at a steakhouse with this taste. It was certainly unique. I loved the lump crab cakes though; very moist and creamy. The service was great. Our waiter was attentive and offered a free coffee cake for a birthday celebration. J. Wilson's has an average 4.3 stars on Yelp which is really good. However, the bone-in ribeye was underwhelming. I would rather pay $20-30 more for a more exceptional steak. P.S. my brother also could not finish his KC Strip.

Though we didn't sit in the restaurant proper, the magic of modern technology (a wee QR code) brought the feast straight to our table without missing a beat. We started with the Sausage Sampler, a delightfully hearty offering with the O'Malley Stout Banger and Lil Lucy's hot pepper sausage, served up with a tangy beer mustard and house BBQ sauce. Cut into perfect little circles for sharing--though truth be told, I was tempted to keep them all for myself! At $8.99, it was a steal fit for a thrifty lass. Next up, the Scotch Eggs ($8.99)--two glorious hard-boiled eggs, lovingly wrapped in sausage and fried to golden perfection. If there's a food that makes you believe in miracles, this was it. Absolutely divine! And, of course, what Irish outing would be complete without Fish & Chips? At $14.99, the cod was fried to crisp perfection, and the zesty remoulade gave it a delightful kick. The fries were standard, but let's be honest, we were too busy savoring the rest to mind. With the warm pub atmosphere and proper Irish offerings, it felt like a slice of the Emerald Isle right there in Weston. Sláinte--we'll be back for more the next time we are in the area!

It could not have been more delicious. My husband enjoyed their Three Way Chicken, a dish so plentiful he took one piece home with him. We were both so pleased with our meals we didn't want to eat to excess, so our server offered to send our dessert home with us. The service, ambience and food were all wonderful. So glad we selected Silo as our place to celebrate!

And it's further afield than we normally do for date night so it felt like a choice he wouldn't expect, which is how we roll. We arrived at about 6:30 on a Friday and it was pleasantly full but not crazy. I had reservations, obviously. The staff had all signed a nice postcard on the table to note his birthday. After we put in our drink order (he got an old-fashioned and I got a Dr Pepper, since I was driving), our server brought over two bottles of Prosecco, one being NA since she wasn't sure if I drank or not, and offered us a toast for his birthday. I thought it was a nice gesture. They ask that you put in your full order at the top of the meal so they can pace it properly. We started with the whipped goat cheese with brussels sprouts and fried saltines. An interesting dish and fun to see saltines reimagined as something high-end. He got their gigantic pork chop and I got a perfectly cooked and delicious KC strip with the creamiest mashed potatoes. I saw half butter and half cream and I thought, that's for me! Lol. That wasn't a cheap entree, but it did include a sauce (I got béarnaise) and a choice of side. I took more than half of my meal home. At that point, she brought out the dessert menu and Kyle decided on the flourless chocolate cake, which is one of his favorites, but that he often doesn't get at a restaurant because so many restaurants buy their stuff from Sysco now. And holy cow, it's the best dessert I've had in ages! A great reminder of how good a flourless chocolate cake can be. Anyway, I definitely would recommend Acre. They did a great job of making my fiance feel really special and just generally had terrific service and wonderful elevated food. Helpful hint: there is a $25pp no show fee on reservations, so be aware of that, and cancel at least 24 hours out if you think you might need to.
