I have been on two occasions but there won't be a third. This place LOOKS really cool. We…read moreabsolutely loved the decor--it is very cool. Our first visit was okay, though we found the drinks to be extraordinarily weak. The server was very nice, and the DJ was great. Unfortunately there's not a designated dance floor and it is so brightly lit no one was dancing when we left at 9:30pm. Despite all that we decided to go back, thinking it would be better on NYE... First, we purchased tickets online AND reserved a table for 6 via the website, but when we arrived we were told they oversold and we could only have a high top with 4 stools. STRIKE 1. I made a reservation for 6, not 4. The event said doors open at 4pm with a complimentary buffet between 6-8pm. The buffet was a salad, lasagna, mac and cheese, chicken strips, and a quesadilla--all of which were delicious. Unfortunately, there was ONE bartender and ZERO servers until after 7pm so we had to go to the bar to order a drink. In fact, no one came to take our order at our table until after 8pm. STRIKE 2. The DJ played some great music but kept cranking up the volume to the point that standing shoulder-to-shoulder we couldn't talk to each other. Additionally, because they oversold, we were surrounded on all sides by people standing around, bumping and brushing by us. STRIKE 3. We ended up leaving around 8:45pm because it was painfully loud, no one was dancing because the area where you would expect dancing was full of people standing around, and we had to take turns sitting/standing because our reservation for 6 was not honored. Sadly I cannot recommend this place.

Even walking in, we weren't quite sure what to expect. The entrance is small, and you're greeted right away, which was a nice touch. Once inside, it's very dark with deep red lighting--almost like stepping into a cave. It took a moment for our eyes to adjust, but once they did, we immediately felt at ease. The space is cozy and perfectly aligned with its purpose: it's all about the jazz. The service was great--welcoming, attentive, and added to the overall experience without taking away from the music. And the music? Absolutely captivating. It pulls you in and transports you--you can't help but settle into the vibe and just enjoy the moment together. We went on a Monday, so there was plenty of seating, but I noticed there's also a lower level that likely accommodates larger weekend crowds. There's a solid drink menu and a small selection of food, but honestly, this isn't the place you come for a full meal. Come for the drinks, stay for the music, and soak in the atmosphere.

We've enjoyed meals at this location in the past, but recently the place has changed hands. Upon arrival we were told another party was in the dining and we were assigned to the common bar area. No tablecloths, no frills, not what I expected! That was just the beginning of disappointments. The first members of our group received their meals immediately and the rest of us waited more than 3/4 of hour before any food arrived. The salad bar was available but what a joke! The salad bar had been grazed prior to our arrival and not replenished. When the food arrived, oh my where do I start. My steak was served cold with a comically small, tasty baked potato that was consumed in three bites. Not one person was completely happy with their meal. Some failed to receive exactly what they ordered, others were surprised their meal didn't live up to expectations stated in the menu, others just disliked the food. There was one served dish that looked and tasted great...the Shrimp Cocktail. The good news is family members were together and able to chat for 2.5 hours during the "dinner from hell", the bad news is more than half the conservations were about the lousy food. We should have walked out when displaced from the dining room. Certainly won't return to the Arbor Manor Steakhouse.

I was hoping to try a Cajun entree, but those are just offered as specials. Tonight's was gumbo...but just wasn't in the mood for that. We had the Calamari, crawfish boil and a shrimp po boy with potato salad. Po boy was good...nothing to rave about. I wasn't a fan of the potato salad- just a tad dry for me. The boil was spicy, which was great...but crawfish didn't taste fresh-but was rubbery. Calamari was a little chewy for my taste. Now, our experience wasn't awful...just had better and it was a little disappointing. Our server was great! Helpful with questions, and very friendly.

Was it the best ravioli I've ever had? No, but they were good. The peanut butter dream (eaten later) was yummy. I really want to come back and try the shrimp & grits. The pork tenderloin sandwich was made fresh. It was really good. It wasn't one of those super thin, huge, flavorlessly ridiculous tenderloins. It was human size and tasty. I'd get that again myself. Prices were decent.
