That's the second issue: Customer service is so incredibly aggravating. They use an AI chatbot that is worthless. And the app itself crashes while waiting to connect to an actual agent. The agent scheduled me for the upcoming Saturday. But...he scheduled the wrong date. I checked in on Thursday to confirm they were coming on Saturday because i got a text message saying they were scheduled for Friday. He assured me more than once that it was indeed scheduled for Saturday. Tech shows up on Friday and I'm not home. Wtf. And because I work during the week, I'll have to wait another week for a Saturday appointment? I think not. NEXT! My circumstances might not be yours but just be advised that you won't have access to efficient customer service if you have an issue. It seems pretty cut and dry. You pay for service and should have an expectation of receiving just the basic service. I don't need anything special. Now I am just going to cancel and hope they reverse charges for service I never received.

So, without a call from me, DIRECTV resumed my service 3/21/26 then sent me a bill for $309.83 eating into a credit of $118.82 that set on their books for their use for 9mos leaving a bill of $191.01 that they charged to my Visa unknown to me on 4/27. "Call us when you want to resume" but that they aren't willing to honor that rep's arrangement. And the kicker is.....their equipment doesn't even work! Original quote given did not specify a "covered cable" install. I would have declined right then and there. My router is located inside a room with no exterior walls. 2. I never "insisted" on using the mount that I bought. If it was indeed not suitable (which of course was not the case), it should have been explained exactly why. All this particular mount needed was a small block of 2x4 behind it, to clear the edge of tile roof. But Chris was too lazy and rushed to think it through. Instead, he claimed that it needed "an extension" (nope, it didn't), and proceeded to butcher my brand new fascia by driving six (!) lag bolts through the mount at haphazard angles. When I re-mounted the dish properly myself a few days later, I was appalled at the damage that was inflicted. 3. He is obviously not used to his customers checking the quality of his installs. He came up with "oh, it's not finished yet" line only after I showed him the photo of the shoddy work he has done, got up the ladder myself, and demonstrated how wobbly the mount still was. Before then, he kept insisting that the mount was installed perfectly. 4. Before he left, he did offer to install his "professional" mount for $100. It was NOT free of charge, as he claims. This sleazy used car salesman's last ditch upsell was the final straw for me. That's when I knew I had to post my review. I have nothing more to say - it is up to the reader to decide who is telling the truth. If you still decide to hire Empire Satellites to work on your home, be prepared to live with the consequences.

I contacted Ricardo after checking out his reviews, he responded quickly and we easily set up an appointment. He discussed possible options of placement of the ports since the roof and outer walling might pose an issue, but he was able to find good placement of my ports. Job was done quick and easy in less than 2 hours. Aside from making a hole in the wall for the ethernet port placement, no additional breakage of the wall was necessary. Ricardo did say that in some cases, depending on the walling and roofs, breakage of the wall would be necessary for some people, but not mine fortunately. Ricardo and is colleague were awesome, professional yet friendly and personable. They cleaned up after themselves and did an overall fantastic job to make any streaks or scrapes anywhere. HIGHLY recommended if you are looking to have ethernet ports installed that extend from your main router/modem that go through the wall/roof so you don't have ethernet cords lying around on the floor.
