Instead of helping me with a defective-part return or warranty claim, Drew simply told me they couldn't return it because it was an electronic part and gave me a phone number to call, as if I were dealing with a fast-food restaurant instead of an auto parts store. What surprised me most was that the dealership's pricing was competitive and, in my case, ended up being more economical when considering the quality of the repairs, the use of genuine Mercedes-Benz OEM parts, and the fact that the vehicle was diagnosed correctly the first time. The customer service at Walters Mercedes-Benz was also outstanding. The dealership provided me with a loaner vehicle for nearly two months while my car was being repaired. In contrast, neither Prestige Automotive nor German Auto Tech provided a loaner vehicle, transportation assistance, or rideshare service. Without a loaner, customers may have to arrange and pay for alternative transportation, which can significantly increase the overall cost and inconvenience of a repair. Based on my personal experience, Walters Mercedes-Benz delivered superior diagnostics, genuine OEM parts, excellent customer service, and better overall value than both Prestige Automotive and German Auto Tech. I was told my vehicle would be ready, going over to pick up after they said it was complete only to find out it appeared that little to no work had actually been done. I drove off the lot and my motor started knocking minutes after leaving. After returning to the dealer hours after waiting for their tow service all I got were the service gentlemen at the service dept scratching their head like they had no clue. I asked if they atleast test drove after and of course they didn't. I was never given clear or consistent answers about what was happening with my vehicle. After 10 days of waiting, I was told that my car needed a new engine and that the dealership had decided not to perform the repair. I was left with a broken-down vehicle and no real solution. What was even more frustrating was the complete lack of follow-up from management. Service Manager Mark Interlicchia never returned my calls or reached out to discuss my concerns after I brought my vehicle back. My service advisor, Danny, was polite but was never able to provide clear explanations or updates throughout the process. When you purchase a luxury vehicle, you expect a certain level of customer service and accountability. Unfortunately, this experience fell far below those expectations. I would have appreciated honest communication from the beginning instead of being told my vehicle was almost ready when it clearly wasn't. I hope Mercedes-Benz takes situations like this more seriously because no customer should be left without answers or a working vehicle after spending this much money on a premium brand.
