May 20, 2025 Yesterday was my first time at this Auto Zone location on Van Buren. It was out of extreme necessity as I was driving on the 215 when my engine light and VSC Tracking sensors came on and the vehicle began vibrating. I was referred to Auto Zone by a family member who informed me that they would perform a free diagnostic testing to find out what was wrong. I was served by an employee, Brandon Q. Wound up being that I needed spark plugs. Brandon was gracious, kind, knowledgeable and didn't make me feel like it was an inconvenience. He referred me to a mechanic close by, however, I chose to use our mechanic instead. This is definitely a busy location. I'm in this area every 6 weeks. Should I ever need anything for my vehicle, I will definitely return to this location. I understand that my experience is not those of customers that had a poor experience. My son goes to this location all the time to buy things for his car. Things to wash his car, when it's time to do his oil change. Yesterday he went and bought oil to top off his oil and a few other things. He bought the big bottle instead of the small one and told me he was going to see if he could exchange it because he didn't want to carry the big bottle in his car. He had gone to the carwash after and threw his receipt away. So he thought maybe since he is a rewards customer they could look up the receipt. It doesn't hurt to go ask is what I said. He comes home upset and says "you aren't going to believe this mom. I walked in and went straight to the cash register and ask the cashier if I can exchange the oil and she looks at me and tells me she didn't see me walk in with the oil and told me she saw me walk straight to the back and grab the oil." I asked him if he did walk around and he said no he walked straight to the register. He said this is a cashier that is always there when he goes in and has helped him countless times. He's a young kid. I told him he should have told her to check her video footage from one minute prior or he could have showed her his transaction from the day before but since he had never been in that situation he didn't think to do that. I am so upset because my son is no thief. This store is like two minutes away from home. Now he does not want to go there anymore. I don't blame him I wouldn't either after she humiliated him in front of other customers. I just don't understand how someone can accuse someone of this. I hope she went back and looked at the footage of this so she could learn from her mistakes. read more

Do NOT go to this store unless you know everything yourself. I didn't see the reviews prior as I was just passing by this city on my way home from purchasing this car. I went in yesterday, with a friend, to get some refrigerant to recharge my AC. When we grabbed a bottle and went to the counter, my friend went to ask, "Sir, can I get your advice, will this can be good in a--" the worker cut him off and said, "they're all the same." So, we took his advice, purchased it, my friend added it to the car I just purchased and it didn't fully work. With a little more investigation hours later... realized no, they're not all the same and he had us purchase and use the wrong one. Now I've possibly ruined my ac compressor (according to Google) and have to further take it in to a mechanic, have him flush the fluids, take it apart and clean it, put it back and recharge it correctly. This is obviously more money when it should've been simpler. I will be calling corporate over this as it is going to cost a lot more now. Hopefully there's no further damage! And furthermore, besides the worker being rude, I stood there for minutes while he decided to talk to his co-worker about how he went to some place and got the spaghetti. "It was sooooo good." Customer service they sold me the wrong filter, then when I went to return with a receipt, They wouldn't refund the difference of 5.00 because I had a different bank card, after buying a different filter. After having to return to the store because of employee error.. I think they should pay me 5.00 for the hassle. Whatever, I paid with a different card. Came to purchase windshield wipers and it was a horrible experience! Avoid this location! They aren't trained right! And the saddest part is that the other employees didn't step in to help the worker who was helping us. He gave us the wrong wipers then he couldn't find more and he brought other ones out when we specifically told him we didn't want to spend more the $50 and started saying we owed him more money. My husband handed him our old wiper so he can go look and this child has the audacity to throw away our part. This employee has no idea what he was doing. Lost all around. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. One if their associates sold me a broken part for $300.00 and when I tried to return it they grilled me. They could have checked the cameras and seen literally footage of me buying it. I had to order the part online and just wanted my money back. Their manager was asking to see proof of my purchase and acted like a total a**h***. Went into AutoZone this afternoon to pick up a Battery for my car. When we walked in the line for check out and parts where put into one line. The checkout counter moved extremely quick with one man helping everyone and did not bat an eye to help any customer waiting for parts, he just kept choosing to check out customers who had small items from the floor, while the line stayed long and the older women behind the counter took f o r e v e r to look up and then go get the parts from the back. This was such a waste of time and we ended up walking out and went to O'Reilly Auto Parts down the road where the line was just as long, however, O'Reilly's had 5 people helping out customers. I came to get my check engine light checked out and as I asked for the code reader, one of the employee let me know that it was broke and that "their customers break it" but a gentleman name Dawnte did not hesitate to go get his personal one from his car and gave me a reading using his code reader and his phone. This is my go to parts store and has been for 22 years. I'm in there 2 to 3 times a week. I have noticed a steadying declining level of service. I just left there and it took me 20 min to buy light bulbs because I was told I had to wait in the parts line behind 7 people instead of just paying at the register. The girl at the parts counter did apologize but there is no reason someone that doesn't need specific parts should not be able to walk in and buy something off the shelf. read more

Checked it before leaving since the box they handed was dirty and taped up. When I returned it the guy said all of them were like that and someone must have messed up. As a customer and a business owner, this is the type of service that all employers wish for their workers to provide. 1) my battery went out at the gas station right by auto zone and she helped me install the new one (FYI do not do this unless absolutely necessary, they have to get home to their families too). 2) she was VERY PATIENT and it took over 30 minutes to install 3) very professional and knowledgeable. This battery required lots of tools and precision to install. I held the flashlight and she did the rest. Great job Alice and Auto Zone team from Riverside. We came in to get oil for a toyota camry and the lady who was working there seemed like she didnt even want to help us. She looked up the oil and had to give us individual oil containers because they're always out of stock of the big containers. She assured us it was the right oil and it turns out it was DIESEL OIL. I noticed it was green and looked it up and good thing i did. They have no idea what theyre doing over there. The manager Named Ron told me they wouldnt cover the cost of the oil we had used or the filter that was contaminated with diesel oil even though they gave us the wrong stuff. They have computers that tell them which parts our cars need and they still manage to make such obvious mistakes. I moved out of state in 2010 and I would always come to this autozone since it was near my house and I would always get good customer service for the things I needed. I would always shop there at least 3times a month. Now that I moved back I just hate going there. They have new employees and the good service left with the old employees. I just needed to pay and waited for about 10mins until I decided to leave.... Oh and by the way I was the only one in line. They had two employees helping out in the parts section and 3 others just walking around and one on the computer. I decided to leave and bought what I needed somewhere else online. Oh and the employees take up two parking spots like if it was a car meet. I won't be coming back to this autozone. This place sucks! The counter guys know nothing and cannot find any parts for custom applications, how hard is it to tell someone what engine you have and what part you need? They don't even know how to find a fanbelt by length. They also try hard to not honor their warranty and have even entered one under the wrong phone number for my dad and denied him new brake pads when the ones they sold him failed. They even acknowledged the pads WERE AUTOZONES OWN BRAND! if they had a lifetime warranty and couldn't be purchased anywhere else why on earth would there be any questions or receipt necessary for the warranty?! First off its Auto Zone, so I wasn't really expecting much. I went in to replace my dead battery that was only 3 years old and under warranty. They said it will take 1 hour on the machine to test it, cool. I came back about 70 minutes later, they said it needs 15 more minutes, ok. I went to Albertsons and got back about 20 minutes later (1 1/2 hours so far) and they said it needed 12 more minutes. Not happening buddy, after about 5 minutes of explaining to them that it's obviously dead I finally got another. If you want a chrome do-dad or some seat covers with flames, then this is the place. If you need real parts, go elsewhere. read more

There are times when you need a little assistance. I've been to this Autozone a number of times and never really thought about what their customer service was like. I usually will pop in and get some Synthetic oil for my car or some wiper fluid. Nothing I got required too much thought on my part and very little time on their side. I was pretty indifferent to their service. On one occasion it was forecast that some winter weather storms were heading in and being a serial procrastinator I waited to get new wiper blades. This particular morning I felt rain drops starting up so I drove over parked and ran inside. After some time considering different brands I grabbed a pack of wiper blades for my car and ran outside with the intent of sliding the old ones off and sliding the replacements right on. Well my intent didn't match up with reality as the blades were configured a little differently than I thought and the rain and wind starting picking up velocity. I ran back in the store and asked for help. I don't know whether it was the terrified look on my face or the fact that I was a woman but one of the employees followed me out to the car and was able to get the blades on. It wasn't a quick swap so we did get pretty wet but I left the store with new blades and an appreciation for their prompt service in my time of need. When considering the other alternatives for auto parts stores this place will be first in my book. read more

This location is very disappointing. My car battery died and I got it jumped long enough to drive it to here. I called ahead of time to confirm they had the battery in stock for my car and that they would remove and dispose of the old battery for me and install the new one since I am pregnant and am not comfortable dealing with these voltages. I was assured that not only were there multiple batteries in stock for my car but that yes they would for sure remove and dispose of the old battery for me and install the new one. Upon arrival, was told that they don't do installs and was handed the tools and told to figure it out myself. I would have taken the car somewhere else but I turned the car off when I arrived because I was under the impression that they were going to handle this for me and it wouldn't start again. I am so frustrated and now stranded because I can't install the battery myself and the staff here refuses to help. If you're looking for actual assistance, I'd go somewhere else since the employees here clearly say one thing and then don't abide by it and are willing to strand a pregnant woman at night because of it. read more

Came in on a Tuesday 6pm and a female manager was very rude and upset because I returned a item I purchased the day before... I needed a metric socket set and not standard and she inspected 50 sockets one by one and even used a white paper towel to swipe and inspect the inside of the sockets .. hahahaha.. Came in to buy a couple cans of spray paint and unfortunately when I got home, one of the cans I opened exploded all over the place!!! The spray cap broke off and there was no way of fixing it. At this point the can was basically empty. I was super bumbed out so I called in and luckily the girl that helped me out at the store told me I can come back and pick up a new can.
