I'm not usually the naysayer when it comes to reviews. I'm a fierce optimist who tends to lean toward positive reviews. However, my own recent visit here kind of left me feeling "Meh." I stopped in because my radio had gone out along with my ability to charge my phone. I'd had a handful of people suggest getting my fuses checked as everything else electrical seemed fine. While I can obviously accept there are limits to how much "service" a retail outlet can offer, it seems weird to me that a place that replaces batteries, checks engine lights, replaces windshield wipers and offers more hands-on services makes a point of saying they can't assist with testing a fuse. Instead, this wheelchair using driver had to climb out of my wheelchair, lean over, and try to manipulate the ridiculously fine tester that they'd sold me. Fortunately, someone drove by and offered a bit of assistance as my hands just aren't made for that kind of fine motor skill work. To their credit, I will say they at least looked and could tell which fuse kit/tester I needed. So, hey, that's a plus. I don't know. I'd always heard high praise for AutoZone's helpfulness. Personally, it felt like more of a "can't do" than a "can do." Awful? Nope. The employee was friendly and did at least, I think, sell me the correct kit (hard to tell as the problem was not solved). Again, I'd say this was more of a "meh" experience than a bad one, however, I can easily say I won't be back. read more

Today I went to the AutoZone at 6055 E 82nd St in Indianapolis to buy replacement tail lights for my 2019 Chevrolet Equinox. After buying them, I attempted to install them in your parking lot, but was unsuccessful, even after a fairly thorough online search. I then asked a manager named Danny, a young Hispanic woman, if she could help. She was very kind and professional, and spent about 15 or 20 minutes trying to do it, including looking at an instructional video online. She did not find the tool that she needed to get the panel open, but she went far above and beyond the call of duty, and was very friendly the whole time. I greatly appreciated that excellent service, and I will continue to make AutoZone my first choice whenever I need anything auto related. read more

Autozone to the rescue once again. Thanks to Covid, I was having difficulties in trying to locate 2 windshield wipers. Luckily these guys had just what I needed. Tips/Highlight: * Use their website ahead of time to search for parts and store inventory on hand. Trust me, this will save you time and frustration. * Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They will take the time to verify what you need and they helped me with the replacing my windshield wipers and showing me how to do it on my own. **Just be careful not to over shot the store. It is right behind the McDonalds at the light. read more

I had the pleasure of visiting this, Autozone, and I must say the experience was outstanding. I needed ventshade's and badly needed windshield wipers. Duralast flex wipers were suggested for my budget and work wonderful. Jerry, had them installed on my car in the rain before I even finished paying for them. I have an older vehicle so the ventshade's had to be ordered and wouldn't come for a couple weeks and Jerry, the commercial sales manager, got on the computer and are now expected in a few days and he's willing to install them for me. My car battery kept on dying for some reason, so I heard that autozone does free battery charging, so I went there. Thank god my battery was health and I didn't need to spend $200 on a new car battery! Gio helped me out with my car today and he's was amazing! He's super customer serviced focused and I would never find anyone else like him at an auto store. A father that has 1 kid soon to be 2, has 2 jobs... He's hard work and dedication is very inspiring. When he told me a story that he had got an SUV instead of his dream car, that showed me he puts his family first. Good things will happen to his life, I can feel it. This autozone is right next to the mall, so if you're getting your battery charged at this location you may walk around and come back. read more

I stopped by this afternoon and was helped by Shawn Noel. I had gotten and error message on my dash with several error symbols. They were not still on display. Shawn went out of his way to try to help me figure out what was going on. He went out to my car and had me turn it on/off, in park, in drive just several things until he said he thought it was the battery. None of the error codes looked like they were indicating anything about the battery. I have a hybrid. He found the battery in the trunk and tested the battery. It was the battery. You know what I love about Auto Zone. I'll tell you. They to a sort of outreach where people who need basic help with their auto can get it done in the parking lot. Almost every time I go there, they're fixing someone's car - air filer, spark plugs, pvc valve, etc. I wouldn't be surprised if they do oil changes?!? Anyway to me, it goes beyond a selling product ploy. They really do help people. It nice to see and a clear differentiator from most of the other auto parts joints around. read more

My cars battery was bad and Gary helped me out . They didn't have a certain brand battery my car had but he kept checking and made sure he could get me one that day cause I needed it. This location is great! I ran in with a list of things to get from my husband. I started wandering around but then decided to ask for help when I realized I was out of my element. Joe C was so helpful! He was friendly and informative. He walked me through everything I needed. One product I was advised to get had been discontinued but he nicely showed me what replaced it. The customer service I received today from Roderick W. was unmatched! I was down the street from this location at a nearby bank when I returned to my car to find that the battery appeared to be dead. My mother and I called Auto Zone (multiple times, we're very ignorant when it comes to cars lol) and Roderick was always very helpful. We go to the store to purchase the battery, but neither of us knew how to install it. Roderick drove the battery over to the bank where my car was located and installed it for me. It was by far the most considerate and extraordinary customer service I've ever received.
