But I finally decided to share my experience because I think it's important to warn future customers, especially those who don't have a lot of extra money to spare. The good: There's a shuttle service for customers, which is convenient. The driver was very cheerful and interested in having conversations with customers, which made the ride interesting. The staff members were polite, and the lobby has free coffee for customers. The terrible: I chose this place for my car inspection because of the positive ratings on Yelp and Google. But alas, the mechanic who inspected my car quoted me $1k+ for a part that was actually in perfect condition and failed my inspection. When I asked where the leak was, the rep said the part was shiny, and that indicated a leak. A few days later, a family member who is a mechanic inspected the part and confirmed that it was, in fact, in perfect condition. So he took my car back to this place for a re-inspection. When questioned, the reps couldn't point out a single leak on that part, and they passed him. Folks, please be careful, especially if you're a woman or someone who doesn't know much about cars. Based on my experience, I felt like I was being taken advantage of. My advice: Question every part they claim has failed, leaked, or broken. Heck, ask them to walk you over and show you exactly where the part has "failed." If you're familiar with car mechanics and have the tools, inspect your car thoroughly beforehand so you know the condition of your car before handing it over for an inspection. And if you don't know much about cars, bring a friend or family member who does. Having someone knowledgeable with you can help you ask questions and better understand what the mechanic is telling you. I'm honestly very disappointed with BA Auto. I went in expecting an honest inspection, and this experience left me questioning their integrity. I'm finally posting this after almost 3 years because I hope it helps someone else avoid a similar experience.

I ordered 4 new tires that had to be ordered and delivered the following day. But wait there's more, I also had to go Philadelphia for a family members surgery and could not be back until the following week... they said no problem! They kept it on the lot for me. Brent even called me and asked if I wanted to save @$65 on my Bridgestone tires by opting out on the "Bridgestone" lettering not being white. I didn't even know that was a thing!! Then he explained that the best thing to do in addition was an alignment once the new tires were installed. Our Red Dodge Ram 1500 Lone Star is already blacked out so these tires went perfectly. We just ordered the same tires to replace our old ones with the white lettering. Genius and we saved money! Thanks to Brent! And a little secret, I had to have the team get out a space saver hanger out of my bumper!! It's the king that has two hanging hooks on both ends so that when it hangs down, it space saves. Well, I got one caught up in my tail gate after hauling stuff to my storage unit and because of the double hook detail it was stuck. So it wasn't able to pull up it up from the tailgate hinge, so I pushed it down thinking it would fall through! Wrong! Since I automatically panicked knowing it could possibly make a rattling noise if left in the tailgate which would drive us crazy... I was also thinking it could affect wiring or safety issues. Though I asked the team to try and remove it, I asked for them to keep on the DL and I would confess to my husband after the removal. Jesus teased me by pretending he was going to announce the task on the overhead speaker so the entire crew could hear it in the service bay and sales floor. I told him he was funny and that I was going to keep an eye on him from then on. The team did a great job with everything! And the carefully placed the rescued hanger on display on the passenger seat for me to appreciate. It literally was on my service ticket. The surgery also went smoothly! God is good! Now as my family member recovers, so will my truck be able to from the hanger removal. Thanks to the excellence of the Surgeon at University of Penn Medicine, the service team at Fred Frederick, and God's Hand on us this entire week!

Solid, stable, reliable, affordable service. I increased my triple AAA service to be able to go there in an emergency. This is the place to go to get an honest opinion and price! It's owner run so quality is there. As a female, I do not have to worry about will I be ripped off. His explanations Of what is wrong, why and what options are available is the best I have experienced. You can tell he is very passionate about his work!! He does not work on electric cars except for basic maintenance. Electric cars require different diagnostic machines than non EV. This place is worth the drive. If you want good old fashioned quality, work, and service- definitely would go here. I had a Volvo with a difficult to dx problem, and expensive to repair issue. His prices were the lowest and he knew exactly what was wrong with it! You can read the other reviews and see they say the same thing!! If I could give this place higher than 5 I would.

More recently I had my alternator replaced, less than a week later my car would stall out when I came to a stop. After speaking with Connie she told me to bring it in. Das quoted me $584.00 (including oil change) to replace the alternator. I then got a quote from another auto shop close by who was $120.00 less. When I went to pick up my car, DAS charged me $52.00 to just look at my car (their "diagnostic fee"), when I questioned the charge they told me the problem had nothing to do with the alternator. This fee was never disclosed to me up front. Nearly all businesses tell you what fees and costs are associated before they touch your car. Apparently this doesn't apply to DAS. This place has gone down hill over the years, not sure if it's the expansion and/or the front desk person they now need to pay for but I've never had issues here until the change in mngmt. Stay away from this place or be sure to ask for charges up front!!! My sister also brought her car in for electrical issue with windows. After paying for repairs she continued to have the same issue a month later. When she brought it back they charged her again to fix it. They clearly don't honor their work! This is just a few of many other issues. Also they charge more for an oil change than the dealership!!

They are extremely slow and will try to con you out of your money. The shop had my car for three weeks and did not touch it. As soon as I tried to take my car to another shop to do the work. They charged me $1k to get my car back because the mechanic supposedly attempted to take out my transmission. When I called the shop manager, who never goes to the shop and works remotely said the transmission was out but when I went to the shop, the transmission was not out. They both lied to me to get my money. The mechanic has a horrible work ethic and is dishonest about how many hours it takes to do any work. The shop manager never steps foot in the actual shop so he has no record of when the work gets done or how long it takes. The entire shop does bad business so I would not trust them with your car. I will be reporting them to the bureau. Rod is the shop manager who lets the shop technician say and do whatever he wants with no repercussions. The moment I called to get my car back, that is when the shop tech started working on it. The whole shop is a fraud and I do not want anyone to give them any money because they are a horrible business. This shop needs to close and stop cheating customers.

Went back in to inform them (why wasn't this checked before pick up?) They did tests and said it was something unrelated to the accident. They kept using the term "unfortunate coincidence" - it ended up being sent to another shop. The part that causing all the alerts was serious - car was undriveable. How on earth could be not related to the accident OR did not happen under their care? I digress. To date this was the worst, most abusive transaction of my life. The customer service was atrocious and it still boils my blood years later when I think of this. Bonus - they didn't alert me my rental car wouldn't be covered past the initial repair (this responsibility is shared by my insurance, them and the rental company - but still no one!) I really should have sued, but life's too short. Please don't come here - save yourself.
