Just when I was thinking or wondering if there is such a thing as good customer service anymore. Well there are places out there that have awesome customer service and this place is one of them. I wish I got the name of the gentleman that helped us. But I think he was either the assistant or general manager of the store that day. It was on a Saturday during the day/early evening that he was there. My car's battery died close to Lincoln square. My boyfriend and I were told by someone in the bar close by to go to AutoZone and ask them for a portable battery charger. The cheapest one there they have is $39.99. So I walked over there and talked with a gentleman and he checked one of the battery chargers for sale and it was not fully charged. So they let me use their own battery charger for free and said to just bring it back. How great is that!! He also said that if I bring my car over to their place after I get it going they will check my battery for free. Not sure if anyone knows but AutoZone checks your battery for free. So after getting my car started, brought it over to them and they checked my battery and sure enough needed to be replaced. I bought a new battery with no hassle and not really knowing how to put the new battery in the gentleman also offers to put the new battery in for no charge. I suggest anyone that has simple car issues to go to a AutoZone and get assistance. The people there are educated and have great customer service. read more

Brought my battery issues over there and they did an hour-long charge/diagnostic for free on it. Super friendly and knowlegeable, didn't talk down to a car moron like me. I had no idea how full service autozone could be. The guy came out to the lot, popped my hood, got the battery out, refused to let me carry it into the store. Also had good advise on a wierdo gas additive that my wife had suggested. I'll go back to this place any time. read more

the staff here is fantastic. i've only been in twice, and for barely 5 minutes each time, but that's because i was so promptly helped. each time an employee asked what i needed, looked it up for me, retrieved it from the shelf, rang up my purchase, and in one instance even offered to help me put it on my car (wiper blades; i declined). i give it less than five stars really only because i dread doing even the minor-est of maintenance/repair to my car, so in that way a trip to autozone feels like a trip to the dentist. read more

Best AutoZone that I have been to. The second I stepped in the door I was greeted by 3 or 4 people. I told them I needed my check engine light tested and he got the equiptment and we were on our way. He held the door for me, tested my car and was so friendly. Some guys were having trouble putting on windshield wipers (HA!) so the guy stopped to help them. When I walked back inside, I was greeted again and asked if i needed help. If only this location was closest to where I live. read more

This place is GREAT!! Went in after reading other Yelp reviews and wasn't disappointed. I wasn't sure if I needed a new battery, however when I first went in and told them, they were helpful and checked it right away. Even changed my battery for me at no extra charge!!!! Then free diagnostic check on my 'check engine light' -told me what was likely wrong, I bought the part for $8 and will now be going to the dealership to have them put it in . Saved me A LOT of money and GREAT SERVICE on top of that!! read more

The folks at autozone are knowlegeable and super helpful. My wife's mechanic wanted to charge us $200 to replace a batter which is a 10 minute job. I bought a highly rated Duralast Gold battery here and they installed it for free and recycled my old battery. Saved me $60. read more

I've always had great service at this Autozone. Everyone is always very helpful, willing to go the extra mile, and ALWAYS treats you with respect. This particular evening, I had to buy a replacement headlight bulb. The technician on staff named James was EXTREMELY helpful! He not only promptly asked if he could help me once he saw me, but showed me where the product was and then when I had mentioned I had never changed a headlight before he offered to put them in for me! So he very politely and quickly came outside and changed both bulbs! I cannot recommend them enough! read more

A mechanic referred me to this store to get my battery replaced, and I was extremely happy with the service I received. They tested my battery to confirm that I needed a new one and then installed the new one for free. I was in and out within 20 minutes, even though it was a very busy day in the store and they were understaffed due to the weather. Had gone in around July for a new battery, then a few months later my car quit on me. Bad cells or something. Took it back to the same place, this place, and received excellent service. Special props to Frankie for being very kind. He swapped out my damaged battery for a new one, check my alternator and starter to make sure they were okay, and treated me excellently the entire time. I bought an item from a different autozone and wanted to exchange it there and I had my receipt and box but they did not help me . They told me to go try in different store. Item that I wanted to exchange was in perfect condition and never used. I bought it the same day as well. And the store I bought this item is 30 miles away from my home. When I say it's the same name autozone and asked why he does not exchange it The guy said "we don't support each other's inventory." Very bad customer service from autozone won't go any autozone again. Never ever! read more

I was returning a cart at Costco and the guy picking it up said to me you should get a cap on your tire. I said, where would I get that and he said, AutoZone, and he said it was very near. So I went and got a cap, and little flashlights were on sale and then since I have lost two hubcaps to Chicago potholes this winter, I said, do you have hubcaps (Duh! am I in an auto zone? ) anyway, Erik was very helpful, gave me a discount I wasn't aware was available and helped put it on, which was beyond the call of duty. Anyway five stars for great service and terrific sales person. My husband had ordered hub caps for me on line but both popped out the first potholes I hit. Maybe he just popped it in, but I watched Erik put it together and feel sure, if I hit a big pothole again, one of the three left will work. Since I am clueless about cars, he also chose the hub cap type I should get that would match those already on my little Nissan. Beyond helpful. read more

This Autozone really does have great customer service! My car battery was dead, my car was parked 2 blocks away. They let me borrow a portable charger to jump my car, then after buying a new battery, they installed it for free--in the cold---and even threw in some free De-Icer and some little lube-y things to help prevent battery corrosion. i only wish I could remember the gal's name who helped me, but I think it was Karen/or Kathryn, or something like that! Ack! I feel like a jerk for forgetting her name, but nevertheless-- great customer service, and I will go back! :) read more

I went to AutoZone on February 19th around 1 p.m. and there were 2 male Associates working. I went in to buy a car battery. I always go to this location and have never had a problem before. There's usually very helpful, professional, and kind Associates there. But this was not the case yesterday. I asked if I can buy a car battery and received a sarcastic remark. When he returned with the car battery I asked him for the wrench that I needed and again received another sarcastic remark. He asked if the car was outside and I told him no so he said well then you need to purchase one. Well that's the reason why I asked for a wrench, so I can purchase it. He asked me for the make and model of the car and I gave it to him and then he asked me if it was a LE or LX Etc but I told him I didn't know. He said, "Well it doesn't matter anyways" and scoffed at me. He had a very negative attitude and made me feel belittled for going in and asking for help. He then rung me up and offered an oil rub pad for the battery to avoid corrosion. When he stated the price it was in a tone as if I didn't have the money to purchase the item that was only $1.08. He asked if I needed help to the car and I politely declined. But I did ask him if there were bags that way I can cover the battery because it was raining, he gave me a funny look and said no they don't have bags there. I apologised fot not knowing that. As I'm holding the battery carrying it out to my car, the other associate was trying to be funny and said, "Be careful, it's heavy." As if I didn't know that while it's in my arms and I'm halfway out the door. They both began to laugh. I don't know if it's because I am a female and they were being sexist or if these associates are just generally rude. Again, this is the location I normally go to and the other associates I've dealt with have never treated me like this. It was extremely embarrassing! read more
