Today, I went in to replace a headlamp bulb. The tiny young lady who greeted me (bubbly with nice painted nails), I foolishly assumed knew nothing about mechanics. I learned a good lesson...Abby was wonderful! She examined my car to make sure she got the right bulb..and then actually popped it in ( my eyesight isn't very good in the evening anymore...). Thank you, Abby!!! read more

I had the pleasure of working with Vanessa yesterday evening. She went out of her way to help myself and several other customers at the same time with nothing but positivity and professionalism. She helped troubleshoot some difficult issues with my car battery as well. I cannot say enough how positive my experience was with Vanessa! read more

Ariel is awesome. Come and ask for him. Super helpful and nice. Wonder customer service.

I had the most wonderful experience at this location. I think it was either Aldo or Ariel that helped me out tremendously, he was incredible! Excellent customer service and extremely prompt despite the busy store. I am very pleased with my visit and will definitely seek out this location specifically next time I need something. read more

Excellent employees! I went in for a part that they didn't have in stock, but offered to order for me. They made sure my car didn't get towed when I had to leave it in their lot for a few days. They let me use their restroom (which was surprisingly not dirty) and charge my phone while I waited for a ride. When I went back to install my part, I received advice and assistance from Almando(?) and who was personable and extremely helpful. Throughout the entire car fiasco, they were always respectful and didn't treat me (a woman) like I didn't know cars (even though I don't). read more

Did you know that Autozone can help you with minor maintenance (e.g., change cabin filter, replace light bulbs, etc.) if you buy the products from them? I didn't until I read through a YouTube DIY video's comments saying that you don't need to learn how to do it yourself because Autozone will do it for you if requested! My headlight was no longer lighting up, so I ordered a new one online for $29 that night and it was ready for pick up the next morning. Pick up was easy and Julio (?), a sweet young employee, helped me install the light. it took less than five minutes for him to demonstrate and walk me through how that light is changed. He saved me big $$$ from being ripped off at the dealer! Side note: Google maps misdirected me into the alley to enter the shop, but it was blocked by metal railings, so make sure you enter the parking lot from the Western street side. read more

We paid online $274.29 total for a battery on 2025/08/09 and paid for delivery $7.49. We did not get delivery or our product. Store assistance suggested we cancel and reorder. But our $7.49 delivery canceled NOT BY CUSTOMER and customer is required by Auto Zone to pay for a service the customer paid for and NEVER RECEIVED. YELP review time to inform all not to buy from auto zone as they will pull off a bait and switch. If the AutoZone online application CONTRACTS to provide a service and then does not that is FRAUD. read more

I needed replacement wiper blades and replacement bulbs. The employee who assisted me - I think his name tag said Cristian Lopez - was fantastic! He patiently answered my questions and walked me through the options and then after ringing me up, he went with me to my car in the parking lot and installed the replacement items for me at no charge. He was really nice and helpful. Great experience and excellent customer service. read more

I walked into AutoZone at about 8:30 PM, and the workers were speaking Spanish, talking about black monkeys and other inappropriate things for the job environment. When it was time for me a black man to pay, they started speaking in Spanish about how they would only accept a credit card, they had no idea They understood every word that they said. They did not want to help me out. I'm thankful for the young lady who eventually checked me out I've had semi positive interactions with employees at this location before but for some reason the night crew just were zero help and had a very offensive conversation. I doubt I will visit this location anytime soon read more

Had the worst customer experience ever at this autozone on western. Needed headlight and running lights for my car. Woman who helped me was as unhelpful as can be and snotty as well. I gave her the make and model of my very old car and the computer came up with two types of bulbs. She asks me which one was in my car and I said I didn't know, what was the difference? She had no idea. One bulb had an acronym and she asked if I had that bulb. I said again I didn't know and asked her what the acronym meant. To which she pointed to the screen and read the name. For gods sake, I can read. And I don't work at autozone. Maybe SHE should know what that means beyond just reading it? I will never ever be back to that location. Maybe they should hire people who know something about cars. Terrible terrible store. read more

I always go to another location, but after one AutoZone said it had "limited" service and another seemed busy, this was my third option. The guy was nice enough on the phone but needed to see my car. I get inside and greet him. I remind him of why I'm in there, and he mumbles something about "open." I have no idea what he said, and he repeats himself. We go outside. He says he cannot change my passenger headlight because the air filter clip is in the way. This is my third location, and I'm about to throw in the towel. But a manager in the "busy" location seemed adamant that it could be done, so I have no idea if the workers just don't want to do it because it may be more work or what. I called back on my way to the "busy" location to make sure they cannot do it either. Another person takes the call. I explain that I need someone to repeat what is blocking me from getting my headlight replaced. The guy who I talked to was helping another customer and was all snippy in the background, saying, "I TOLD HER THAT ALREADY." Seriously, calm down, I wasn't standing there with a pen and paper. I'm just bouncing around at night trying to get someone to fix a headlight. It's not going to lead to an asthma attack to repeat the same sentence again. I've never been there before and probably won't be back. But the guy who I talked on the phone (who probably should have muted the guy I saw in person) was pleasant enough. I'd dodge the first guy if I went back though. read more

Jesus was (seemingly) working alone in the store. No other associates were visible. There were two other customers hovering near the register. Jesus effortlessly assisted me in finding new windshield wiper blades, check all three of us out at the register AND quickly remove my old and install the new blades. He really was a life-saver as one of my blades had very recently broke and rain was predicted all this week. Five days later, I am happily and safely commuting my hour each way in the rain with perfectly clear visibility thanks to Jesus!!! He is a perfect example of knowledge, expedience & grace under pressure. It's because of Jesus that I would recommend this store to others. read more

I recently stopped in this Autozone at 4700+ Western to purchase replacement parts for an air compressor, but they didn't have any. So I decided to just buy a new one since it was needed for the afternoon. I got home to use the compressor, and after 2 minutes, it started making crazy noises and stopped pushing out air, so I turned it off. No worries...I'll just return it and go buy a brand I trust at Home Depot as I know better. I went to return this item yesterday, and I am now armed with at least 10 reasons to never walk into this store again. Simple ones: I walked in and two employees are in the back room, yelling loudly and swearing at each other in fun. Took 5 minutes for one of them to decide to come to the front of the store and ask if I could be helped (I was standing at the register) I mention I need to return the defective compressor, and I need some wiper blades. Immediately this employee gets rude with me. He opens the compressor, and first thing he says is that most people don't know how to use these things. WTF? He plugs it in, it makes a normal sound, then some screeching sounds like something is dying. He tells me that is normal, and I wasn't using it correctly. He proceeds to attempt to show me how to use it...until of course I correct him, show him how it actually works, and then let me know that I know how it works and want my refund. He starts explaining how this thing should work...etc...and then tells me he cannot accept my return. He tells me that because it is an electronic item, he can only exchange it. Now...looking at my receipt for this, and Autozone's website, nowhere does it say that. The receipt clearly states I have 90 to request a refund in full. But this guy then gets rude - tells me that Walmart doesn't accept computers back if you don't want them so why should he accept a broken compressor in the return timeline? Yes he actually compared buying a computer at Walmart for $1000 to buying a compressor at Autozone for $90. Yeah guy...they are so close to being the same thing. I told him I don't want a new one from the same brand as it doesn't rate very well. He told me I should have done all my research before shopping there. "You don't get to just return things if you don't like them." After telling me that, I keep on about how the policy says I can return it... Then he cuts me off over and over, tells me he doesn't care what policy my receipt says, and that if I'm concerned to take it up with his district manager. But essentially...he tells me that the receipt's intentions are "my opinion" and that the rules are actually different. So I tell him I'll get my money back and never shop here again. He says to me: "Good...the door is right there" I can tell he thought this was a use-it-and-return-it process, but the thing didn't work and I'm not exchanging for the same brand that I know won't work. Maybe he'll do that as a dishonest person, but not me. I did go to Home Depot and buy a brand I know will work. This employee was rude, inconsiderate, and just awful. His desire to use his illusion of power got to his head and I can tell he enjoyed sending a customer away unhappy. He didn't care about the customer at all, and is happy selling stuff that doesn't work. I'm not wasting another hour going there to talk to a manager as I don't want to step back in that store again to fight with him about getting back $90 To boot - I mentioned I needed wiper blades and at no time did he even ask me about them to help me. He immediately got rude about me wanting to return something. I've sent a note to corporate Autozone about this, as well as my credit card company to get my refund. If the manager at this shop wants to reach out and get me to bring this back and get my refund, with an apology from his employee, I'll do it. Otherwise I know someone else at Autozone will do the right thing and honor their refund policy. read more

Erik was extremely helpful and did very diligent work. He took his time to make sure everything was in line before I drove off.

I wouldn't buy anything from them , or any other store for that matter. Bought a tire pomp " Slime " used it for one tire , it was down to 24 psi , took about 20 min to get it to 34 psi. A very bad product , wanted to return it , they did not want to take it back. I would ha e gladly paid 1.25 to get air in my tire not 70$ for a bad product. read more

Three-and-a-half stars because, when my sister's car (in my trust) got clipped on my little tiny-ass street on Thursday, the staff here was extremely helpful but the price was wiggity-whack. The guy even left the store twice to help me look at the mirror (or what was left of it) in the freezing cold... but they quoted me $129.99 for a part that ended up costing me $30 elsewhere! We opted for the temporary solution (a $7 strip of plastic fake mirror) and he let me borrow his scissors to cut it into the half-rhombus, half-oval shape of a side-view mirror. (I'm hyphenating a lot in this review, yeah?) Unfortunately, we cut it out wrong so in order to be reflective, it kept popping out. I eventually borrowed a pair of scissors from courtgirl, jr. and made the rhombus side oval and the oval side rhombus, but it needed half a bottle of clear cement, which I tried to re-cap with my mouth and thereby almost super-glued my poker face together. Still, I won't forget how helpful and up-front the dude at Auto Zone was. If not for my inevitable sibling borrower situation, I'd fer sure come here for car stuff. Anyone who can count the number of hyphens in this review gets a prize... my eternal well-wishes. read more

If you're lucky enough to work with a mechanic who will let you bring in your own parts, AutoZone is your new hero. From belts to batteries to brakes, these guys have it all. I'll admit, it's a bit daunting to come in here and not even really know where to start. Home Depot gives me this same feeling... not sure if they ask everyone who walks through their door what they're looking for, or if my puzzled expression was the giveaway, but I appreciate the unsolicited assistance. Friendly staffer looked up what I needed in his computer after supplying him with all the necessary model information. Less than 5 minutes and only $25 later, I was out the door. Seriously, they are so nice and helpful here that I could probably take a customer service course from them. Also, Spanish-speaking associates are available and the free parking lot is a major plus. Free diagnostics too! And their website is pretty awesome -- create an account, save your model information, initiate your search and only parts/accessories pertinent to your vehicle will come up in the results. Easy, breezy shopping even for this mechanically-challenged chickie. read more

The very worst part about my experience with Auto Zone was that I had to swallow my stupid pride and have someone else install my battery. I HATE depending upon someone else. It's going to be the death of me, I swear! I'm kind of a I get shit done, kick ass, take names kind of woman. I knew I needed a new battery, but I wasn't exactly sure how to do it. And my old battery had what appeared to be Santorum caked all over it. I was not going to ruin my perfectly manicured purple finger nails for a car battery. The best part was that a very nice gentleman installed my battery in the midst of a five degree snowstorm. I tipped the gentleman $20 (and you should too!), and was on my way within a half hour. Now I don't have to be worried about getting stuck at a truck stop surrounded by creepy horndog truckers or desperate hookers while I drive across the Midwest. Thanks Autozone! Oh, and this particular store gets bonus points for the old school rap music playing on the Muzac. read more

This location has fantastic customer service! I called in advance to inquiry about a new battery for my car. I've had mine for 12 years. I know, the staff was shocked. Anyway, they were very helpful on the phone, and I appreciated the late hours so I could get it replaced after work last night. I would especially like to highlight Joe. He was very friendly, informative and changed my battery quickly and successfully. I will definitely be going back for my future car needs and will recommend this location to my friends in the city. Thank you! read more

Friendly if busy location. You might have to wait because of other customers, so try to go when it's not peak hours. Free parking is a major plus. Some AutoZone locations are better than others, and this is one of the good ones. I also like the one on Touhy near Western and the one on Pulaski near Wilson. Their "credit card machines" allow you to pay by PayPal, which is cool. read more

Thank you AutoZone for giving me the diagnostic power to find out my car is not going to blow up anytime soon, for free! Check engine lights has come on again...this happens often with 222,000 miles the ol' beater Corolla. But then again she gets the job done in the City for me so I treat her right. This free diagnostic check can save you some serious coin before going to your local repair shop. These diagnostic checks can cost up to $90 dollars just to see whats wrong with the vehicle. AutoZone will print you out a receipt with the definition of the error code probable causes. This can lead you in the right direction, possbily buying the part that needs to be replaced and then only paying labor to get the work done. Taking advantage of this service will save you money in the long run and there's no reason not to if you drive a older model vehicle. And there's free parking right outside. read more

Was about to road trip it to Milwaukee and just happened to notice that the brake light was out. Being the handy dandy chickadee that I am I decide to fix it myself. So I Yelp an AutoZone and find this one that's the closest to me. Hop on train after work, get off at Western, walk across street, find light bulb. Well, it's not that easy! Light bulb's are not like printer cartridges I've come to find out. There's nothing on the box telling you which model it's for. So enters in employee to the rescue to the girl that hates to ask questions and find out for herself. Looks it up in his handy dandy computer, find light bulb, pay my $4 and done! Back on train to house and praying I can figure this out. Which we did of course! :-) The amount of gossiping and bitching about people in there was the only turn off. Hey, let's be a bit professional here! But besides that an easy, peasy in and out shopping experience! read more

Great customer service! Jesus was very helpful with the headlight issue I had. Thanks again.

After a long day of errands, we decided to get another bag of dog food at Soggy Paws on Leland. Since parking is such a pain in the arse on that short stretch of Lincoln, we pulled to the side of the street in front of Huettenbar, and my girlfriend hopped out to go grab the doggie grub. We turned the car off as we were extremely low on gas (gas station was our next stop). When she came back the car wouldn't start. Went and got some gas, poured it in, car still wouldn't start. Must be the battery right? Long story short, the folks at Autozone were SUPER cool. They let us borrow a portable battery charger for FREE. Then we took the car over for a FREE diagnostic test on the battery, which determined the battery needed replaceing ASAP. Within 15 minutes or so we had a new battery installed in the car, and the installation was FREE. On top of all the FREE-ness, the gentleman we worked with was so super cool, friendly, and helpful. I wish I would have gotten his name but suffice it to say I'm sure most of the employees at this location are the same, judging from the banter between coworkers that I overheard. read more

I wish I could be able to continue without even placing a star. The managers there are unprofessional. You have Manny who slacks off on his phone, and disrespecting coworkers, then you Tamika "store manager" who needs an evaluation. Girl don't know what she is doing. I'm talking to a manager, and she gets all unprofessional in the background. They need to close that place down. They will never have respect for their customers. 0 zoneers. Doing some research on finding a great deal and awesome service for my battery issues. I was going in just for their free battery check-up and discovered that the battery I had was 'bad'. I had it checked by another company last week and they told me it was still good and had about 3 months left. Well, when my car struggled to start AGAIN this week, I decided to head over to this AutoZone based on the YELP reviews of other customers. I could NOT be more pleased with the attention and service at this store. At first I was a little put off because one of the staff wrongly assumed I was with a guy and looked past me to wait on someone who walked in behind me. I stood there waiting for someone to acknowledge my presence until Kenneth did. I told him what I needed, and proceeded to help me with everything. (mind you, I am a daughter of an auto mechanic, so I know he wasn't bulls***ting) I told him my tail light just blew out, so he went to the shelf and got me the replacement bulb and another one for when the other goes. To me, that was VERY thoughtful of him to think ahead for me. I told him what else I was looking for and again, he went to the shelf and brought back to versions for me to choose from. EXTREMELY helpful on so many levels! We went outside and he replaced my battery, cleaned the connectors, gave me some really good advice about extending the battery life when I don't use my car that often and he also replaced my taillight. He was very professional and treated me like a valued customer. The time it took to replace the battery and light didn't take long at all. My bill wasn't as big as I expected. So definitely a WIN WIN situation for me since I am currently in-between jobs. Thank you AutoZone! I will highly recommend you and I will NOT hesitate to go back with other auto needs. read more

Just when I was thinking or wondering if there is such a thing as good customer service anymore. Well there are places out there that have awesome customer service and this place is one of them. I wish I got the name of the gentleman that helped us. But I think he was either the assistant or general manager of the store that day. It was on a Saturday during the day/early evening that he was there. My car's battery died close to Lincoln square. My boyfriend and I were told by someone in the bar close by to go to AutoZone and ask them for a portable battery charger. The cheapest one there they have is $39.99. So I walked over there and talked with a gentleman and he checked one of the battery chargers for sale and it was not fully charged. So they let me use their own battery charger for free and said to just bring it back. How great is that!! He also said that if I bring my car over to their place after I get it going they will check my battery for free. Not sure if anyone knows but AutoZone checks your battery for free. So after getting my car started, brought it over to them and they checked my battery and sure enough needed to be replaced. I bought a new battery with no hassle and not really knowing how to put the new battery in the gentleman also offers to put the new battery in for no charge. I suggest anyone that has simple car issues to go to a AutoZone and get assistance. The people there are educated and have great customer service. read more

Brought my battery issues over there and they did an hour-long charge/diagnostic for free on it. Super friendly and knowlegeable, didn't talk down to a car moron like me. I had no idea how full service autozone could be. The guy came out to the lot, popped my hood, got the battery out, refused to let me carry it into the store. Also had good advise on a wierdo gas additive that my wife had suggested. I'll go back to this place any time. read more
