Frequently use the AutoZone in Kyle. No complaints except for they're always extremely busy. Don't seem to have enough employees and you spend a lot of time waiting in line. This AutoZone, for a Saturday morning was surprisingly un-busy. I got in and out quickly and back home ready to do my auto repairs. I think this will be my go to store from now on. read more

Hit or miss. Sometimes they have what you need , sometimes they don't. I've gone in twice for Toyota brake parts and they're out of stock. "Toyota one of the most popular cars on the planet ". I found that weird. Also, they should be more in sync with the Autozone in Kyle. They had what I needed. The lady working there told me I had to drive up to North Austin when I could of just driven down the road 10 minutes to Kyle. She was also pretty dismissive. I guess she was having a bad day. That's not my fault. I just wanted to spend $350 bucks. I'll just go to Kyle from now on. The guy that helped me was great and helped me carry all the parts to the car. read more

I just had best experience I've ever had at an AutoZone at the Buda location. I bought some replacement headlight bulbs, and a few days later when I went to replace them realized they didn't fit. So I took them back, and within a few seconds of walking into the store I was helped by a friendly young man named Jorge. He looked up the bulbs, and we determined that I actually did have the right ones, but that I had pulled out the wrong bulb to replace (I was trying to replace low beam and had pulled out the high beam). He offered to change them for me right then and there, and so I pulled my car up and he was able find the correct location of the low beam bulbs and replaced them. What stands out to me is that I was helped very quickly and Jorge was super friendly, and it was a HUGE help to me to have my bulbs replaced right then and there. This really made my day! read more

Today, i drop the coolant inverter cap inside front trunk, i can't take it out by myself, i came to auto zone in Buda at night for asking the other one for replace, i saw 2 big man, but sorry i cant remember their name. The sales person was helpful and polite, but they sold me an obviously used used item as if it was a new item, $99,99 Full price for an cordless orbital polisher that was dirty and greasy and not even repackaged correctly. The salesperson almost saved this review from being 1 star, but I can't excuse restocking dirty used items at full price, or really any price in this case where it's something used for the last step of cleaning my car. read more

I had amazing service here! Even though they were busy they were able to help me very quickly. I waited no more than about five to six minutes which is great considering there were about seven to eight people waiting as well. I needed a new battery and the nice gentleman installed in less than five minutes in the cold and rain! He even waited until I turned on my car to make sure it was working. We had one hell of a day today. Everything kept going wrong one after the other. Stranded not far from the store we needed front bearings if we were ever to get home. Upon our first call to see if said parts were available my husband was met with a knowledgable young cat named Kevin. My husband gave a brief run down of the situation and part needed. Kevin was quick, efficient and sincere when commiserating our issue. A late paycheck and seemingly insufficient funds caused further frustration as I entered that store no less than 3 times. Each time he was swift and helpful. Multitasking like a pro as several other people were in store as well. He juggled us all with grace. He was crucial in our journey to get home. Kevin you kick ass! I didn't have any problem with the products I bought from this location, and most of the staff was friendly and helpful. There was one person there that dampened the experience and it was the one employee you'd least expect it from: the manager! At least, it appeared he was in charge. He wasn't exactly rude to me, but the way he talked to his employees was harsh and made the rest of the experience there uncomfortable. Here's a run down of the events that unfolded: An employee was helping me look for the parts that I needed on the computer. He was welcoming, chummy even. His superior interrupted him from attending to me to ask him why he wasn't wearing his black slacks. The employee was wearing blue jeans. The employee told him his slacks were still in the dryer when he was getting ready for work. The manager told him this, sternly: "Go home, get 'em, and hurry up and get your ass back here!" Verbatim. This manager did NOT say it jokingly (or discreetly), and I'm sure it was humiliating for the employee being that he had just been made a public spectacle. I've been in management before, and I would've never spoken to an employee that way, especially not in front of customers. There's really no good excuse for this behavior. Companies have uniforms to portray an image that reflects positively on the company, and the manager completely contradicted that image with one sentence! The employee should have been allowed to finish out the day in his jeans for that, and the manager disciplined! read more

One Sunday a few weeks go I found that my car needed a battery. What a pain. I decided to take it to AutoZone near me because I didn't want to wait until my mechanic opened next day. I was pleasantly surprised to find that not only did the folks there sell batteries, they changed them out too. Needless to say, I appreciated young Andreas changing the battery for me because those things are HEAVY. I am a 66-year old woman but I'm not helpless; this was one job I couldn't do myself though. Did I mention it was 95 degrees outside? Lloyd, one of the other employees there was so helpful taking care of the sale and disposing of the old battery. I have never left a shop feeling so good about the experience as I did that day. I had to write a review to express my gratitude! read more

My rear taillights were out, I need a new fuse...so naturally i'd go to a place where there are employees who could possibly help. I didn't take any more chances, so I rode my bike. I went in and realized I didn't bring a fuse for comparison...so after browsing for a few moments decided it would be best (cost efficient) to get a recommendation from a sales associate. I get 'Joe Camel' in place of - I'm having to wait because the shopper in front of me asks if the 'component' will work - it's just a hull for a wireless key-fob, it requires the old board from the (propsed) soon to be replaced unit. After all the drawn out conversation, I notice there is a book, similar to the one i've already purchased in a stand - behind the counter. I actually LOCATE the book's location, by visually scanning the assortment. I explain my situation, briefly and then indicate where the book is. Here's the outlook on the situation, I'm wearing my $500 Harley jacket, it's not like I don't earn what I own and didn't get it by being an a-hole - I wouldn't have been able to work long enough to EARN it if I had been in such a manner. I'm wearing my Cleveland Golf cap (white), to at least ease any tension they supposed bad rep bikers get. Helmet is outside, on one of the handles. The guy i'm talking to is wearing some REALLY dark shades, i'm not sure if the sun is bad for the afternoon shift, if it was a long night or ....something else - hence the 'Joe Camel' - not trying to pick fights, i'm playful about it. The exact location, and give a bent-arm (finger) point to its location. After politely indicating and also stating where it is....5-6 times, I'm guessing it's a game now. The guy gets a little testy, and practically demands that I "come back get & get it". Wow...not very friendly. I won't even get into the finer details of this situation unfolding, but i've seen enough to tell when it's more than a conversation. Well... Anyway, I just open the book to the section I need, first try and 3 flicks of 3 sheets later. They're the micro-fuses - fair enough. I'm a good customer & spring for the 'out' LED indicator version. I'm not really sure what the issue is with people bringing either their attitude or personality to work & think it's what's beneficial. It tends to rub on others, either the weak-minded or impressionable. Seeing as how I've got more responsibilities than others, getting into verbal 'discussions' regarding conduct are time-consuming and attract unwanted attention. For whichever reason, i'm not sure if there was some type of circumstance predicating this occurrence and it is with little interest I find myself the necessity to document it; regardless it was rather unworthy of more than a whimper's fallible gesture. 1-Star would mean I lost my temper and played into the daily routine of childishness read more

I went in for an oil filter and they didn't have the brand I was after in stock, which is fine I know items get sold out. I still got an oil filter and all was fine. Then I noticed they had car remote batteries. I've needed one, but wasn't sure if mine even worked. The salesman took the battery out of the package and inserted it into my remote control and tried to lock or unlock my car from the window. No such luck, we thought I just needed a new remote. So now it's time to cash out and he rings up the battery, the one my remote doesn't work with. I told him I didn't want the battery since it didn't work on my remote, but he said I have to buy it now because it was an open package. I wish he would of told me that once HE opened the package to test it out that I would have to buy it regardless if it worked or not. I know it's only $6, but what am I going to do with this battery that doesn't make my car remote work??? read more

Was given the run around when I went to try to go get my alternator and starter check by the GM(Lloyd). Because a battery that I had just bought a week ago from Autozone kept dying and I couldn't figure out why. He told me I had to go to a mechanic. Never even came out to look at my car. So when I went to the mechanic he did a whole test on my car. He came to the conclusion that it was a bad cell in my battery. He was very kind called Autozone and told the GM (Lloyd) that I was going to come replace my battery. However, when I got to Autozone the GM(Lloyd) was very rude! He tried to make me feel stupid for coming to the conclusion that it was a bad battery. Long story short my car now works perfectly. So it was a bad battery. I work in customer service and I know that is not how you treat customers. read more

Can't say much about AutoZone. But this review is for the O'Reilly auto parts store in Buda since they don't have a yelp page. I walked in this afternoon to get my wife's car "check engine" light coded with their DTC scanner. After asking for help the employee at the counter doesn't budge. Instead he waits for a customer to walk in so that he can help him instead. Clearly there were other employees to help the newly arrived customer. No explanation of why he did this. Turns out the customer was returning a product. I walked out. Guess what O'Reilly, you lost a customer today. No longer will I shop for auto supplies or parts at that O'Reilly. read more
