I had a very good experience when I went to purchase coolant for my SUV. The store is clean and well organized. They are COVID-19,ready with plexiglass at the counters. I was helped by Victoria who was pro-active to assist me. She looked up to make sure I was purchasing the correct coolant. The store has a good selection of most everything you need for your car. Amazing I been coming here for years, TJ the manager is amazing always helps me all the staff is great usually, can't say enough good stuff, very happy since 2001. Customers here can be a problem sometimes, trouble makers and try to scam and get over return used parts from other stores ect. We came here on 1/21/23 for a new battery - after in the morning our car was starting harder then usual, and needed a 10 second jump starter help. We got the new battery, installed it - and nothing - the car was not turning on, an employee came out to test the battery and tried to explain that the car is not starting with the "new" battery because of the alternator ... "brand new battery" - the only thing they could offer was that they will charge the "new battery" - so we lost an other half hour waiting on the charging...and guess what - they ended up giving an other new battery because the first one was not charging .... Can someone tell me if i buy a NEW PART, why that needs to be fixed before i can use it???? I am extremely disappointed - it's not acceptable to spend more then one hour to find out that they try to sell a not working battery. read more

I feel like there's a shield of positive vibes around this place. The parking lot is nice and spacious. The store inside is clean and organized. Ordered online for pickup. On the door, they have a phone number posted for pickup orders, but... they don't actually bring orders to your car? They still tell you to come in and sign for things. So not really sure what the system there is. The ladies working there were all super nice, and I was in and out of there pretty quickly. Prices online are pretty good. On 3/4/22 I drove my mother's 2017 Honda CR-V with 12K miles to AutoZone store # 5274 to have the battery tested. After the test, it was determined that the battery needed to be replaced. I purchased a new Duralast Battery. The store associate installed the battery backwards. By doing so, high-voltage entered the system and fried a few components. I had to have the vehicle towed to Bay Ridge Honda, where it stayed for 11 days being repaired. Both me and my mother would like for this to be handled as swiftly as possible, so we can put this negative experience behind us. We expect AutoZone to stand by their customers, and do the right thing in this situation. My mother and I should not be liable for any associated cost due to an AutoZone employees mistake. I currently filed a claim with AutoZone and I am waiting to hear back from them. 3/20/22 (Update) I need AutoZone to take ownership of this terrible inconvenience caused by this employees non attention to detail. AutoZone should have been more apologetic about the situation. They could've made things easier by offering a tow truck, and a car rental, while the vehicle was being repaired. We did not receive any sort of assistance. Now we are out of $1847.68, the total cost of repairs made by Bay Ridge Honda. I spoke with the district manager and was told to take my invoices to the store, so the manager can submit a claim. I submitted all my paperwork to the manager. I was not provided with any sort of claim or reference number. Was not given an exact timeline of how long the claim process takes. Also, I was not told, when I should hear back from someone. This is not how you provide good customer service. I will update this review again, if anything changes. read more

The customer service in this place is downright terrible. They are rude, inconsiderate, and talk down to their customers. They were not rude to me however. This is just from observation while standing second in line at the register for half an hour. Yes, half a freaking hour. Bought wiper blades and an air freshener. Came out to over $55. I installed the wipers myself because God forbid I ask one of the employees to help me out. The air freshener sucks too. I couldn't smell a thing. What a waste of money that was. I purchased a new battery from them, installed it and turnd out that the battery was dead. I told them you gave me a dead battery, exchange it to another one. They said the battery just needs to be charged, probably my alternator is bad. A new battery will start the car, even if the alternator is not working. They wasted half an hour and then they replaced the new battery with another one. And in the end they show me attitude. Those incompetent mfs. Choose any other autozone, but not this. read more

Went to buy 2 products car wash brush, waited a female employee who was taking care of a customer and paid me no mind. I waited on line no one in front of me for 15 minutes. The female employee and other 3 employees left the counter and abandoned the front of the store and counter.they disappeared from view. I can't believe that all the employees left the counter. At least 7 employees in the store and i have to stand here at the register waiting to pay as no one pays attention to me. No one wants to stop putting products on the shelves, sorting minimal things in the baskets at the register. At least 3 people in the room behind the registers having a good time. Another problem is you cant ask any of the employees for help because they have no clue about their products. Forget about asking for a part. The employees have no clue about anything. Worst experience ever. I went here to change my front brakes which I have a lifetime warranty. When I got to the register and spoke with Nicole (sales clerk) she looked at the old brakes and then told me we don't do exchanges. I let her know that I purchased a warranty which states when defective I can bring them back. She proceeded to speak with the manager. CJ which is the manager came out from the back and without out any clarification said we don't accept it plus your brakes are still good. I asked him is he the mechanic fixing my car? Let him know that mechanic that is currently fixing my car said that the brakes are defected and need to be change which was my not reason being here to change them. He stated after if I change them this will be the last time. Once I said ok he said you know what forget it go to the store on Coney Island Avenue. One of the worse and actually THE WORSE customer service I have ever seen. The place is awesome, location is great, parking lot...??!! Now that's 100/100. Now the staff just drops it to 0/100. Words can't describe how uncomfortable you would feel in the place because it's staff. I thought it would be just that one time but every time I go there and I try to think it was just some one bad day or it was some one new or it was just a crazy day but after 5 times and I get the same experience (horrible customer service), I'm just done with that location. Let's start of by saying that my friend's car battery had completely died on Monday. We walked into this AutoZone trying to find the correct car battery and appropriate tools so I can help my friend replace his car battery. What we got was more than what I expected!!! Even though I kept my composure and tried to maintain my cool since my friend was such a nervous Nelly which didn't help the situation. I wanted to shout out to the two staff members which really helped us out, DaQuan W & Nathaniel W!! They we're both AWESOME and made me laugh at the same moment while I was STRESSED OUT cause I seriously needed to make it to my smoothie place in Staten Island to calm my nerves!!! DaQuan helped to make our situation better with sarcasm and all the whatnots while Nathaniel had put in all the elbow grease to help bring my friend's car back to life!! Made an emergency stop for a new car battery because the current one is pretty much dead. Autozone had a HUGE sign saying FREE battery change so thinking how great of them to change it for me we got in line to purchase one and then was told to come back on a weekday when it's not as busy...I kinda needed the change now cause my car won't start if I turned the engine off. I didn't mind waiting, I can wait till someone can find time and change it for me but nope, they just told us to pull up to a gas station or something like that and pay them $10 and they can change it for us there. My car was DEAD and I had it towed here, not realizing there wasn't a mechanic, etc. Anyhow it was most likely a battery issue so he got it checked (dead battery, no surprise) and got me a new one and installed it too. There was a wait as it was very busy and they need someone in store before they could send them out to help. Anyhow. My car is working, I'm forever traumatized, but I'm so thankful for TJ's help. I had my car battery jumped and was told I should bring it here do they can test it and see if i needed a new one or not. This young man Nicholas looked at my battery and found out that I was still under warranty and was able to get a new one for free if it failed the test. Well it did and he installed the new battery for me and even changed my light that was out. He knew his stuff, knew what he could do and went out of his way to do so. I wish I got service like this everywhere I go. I think he did a great job and is a true asset to Autozone. This young man made my day with all his help and knowledge. Each time I visit this location one staff member (the younger guy) is rude and behaves as if he is not obliged to help customers leave with exactly what they need. The other (the older guy) claims he will do something like provide some form of good customer service, but never follows through. Our car battery warranty wasn't honored. Another time, the credit received for turning in an old battery, was less than what was advertised. We ended up getting a great deal on a battery elsewhere without the sleezy attitude.. Unprofessional and poor attitudes aside, management allows people on the street that are either severe alcoholics or drug addicts approach customers in the parking lot. We were approached twice in one visit about getting work done on our cars. Needless to say, it's uncomfortable and puts customers' safety at risk. I've spent my last dollar at this location. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere except here. read more

I am writing this review for this particular branch not for the whole autozone company, Today i went to buy an oil filter, air filter and Mobile oil for my car, i asked one of the guys to get me an oil filter that fits my RAV4 car, he was very nice and helped me specially after i apologized to him as i have no experience at all with these filters, he was also very nice and made a discount for me, after that i went to a shop to change my oil and they told me that this filter dose not work for my car so i simply went back to return the other filter, i went to the cashier again with the filter and the receipt to return it and at this point the nice guy who was helping me before changed his attitude 180 degrees and he insisted that the filter works for the RAV4 and he started telling me any way i gave it to you for free, i showed him the receipt showing the filter charges and then he came up with another story saying that i used their parking space to change the oil and ofcourse this is didnot happen as i showed him the receipt from the other shop indicating the charges for the oil change then he turned his face and he called the following customer and he asked me to step away. first of all iam writing this comment not asking for my money as i dont care about those 12 $ but its a shame on Autozone to hire an unprofessional rude person talking to the custmors like this and making up stories as i have been dealing with autozone for the last 3 years and i have never experience a person like him. if any body from the management will read this and care about it i still have the receipt and the oil filter if they wanna make sure. also they can check their cameras. thanks read more

Ok, so I come to this store after I found out that they unloaded their former manager to Advance Auto Parts. And the kalash worker, they sent to a different Autozone store. Thats right, instead of shipping them both to jail for selling fake and defective parts, they sent them to be a problem in other autoparts stores. So this store got a pretty good new chinese worker. But brian m., is still there, and what a shame. That guy takes his time (about15 min) per customer to do a 2 minute job to look something up on computer.
