I went to get my battery replaced and a man named "Jr" I believe his last name was Ernest, he really went the extra mile for me. I had already paid for a new battery but when he was replacing my old one, he noticed it might still have warranty. He checked for me and sure enough, it was still on warranty. He saved me $200. I was driving through Austin calling around to find a specific part and wanted to call places ahead of me before I pass by, i called in to this location on 2-26-24 at 330 and was put hold for nearly 7 minutes. I hung up and called back to get the same employee who quickly tried to put me on hold. I told him it's time sensitive and he was clearly agitated but let me ask him about my part. He said I can't get it at Home Depot but he has to look in his system which he won't do because he has customers. Then hung up. I wish I could give zero stars lol I went here in February because I was having issues with my car starting and I thought I needed a new battery and wanted to also get my starter and alternator checked. Not only was I told that they don't check alternators and starters but they sold me the wrong size battery and swore up and down that it was the right one. So when my car shit out on me this past week and I took it to a different Autozone location in Buda, the guy who helped me laughed and said "oh my god I'm so sorry that guy sold you a golf cart battery pretty much!". So a couple of weeks ago we had a family trip to the lake. We took our new and old jet ski. We get there and the old one doesn't want to start not even take a jump. So I called several auto places around and this is the only place that went above and beyond to help us get a new battery he took his time he asked questions about the old battery so he could make sure we had the right one. Others just off the top said sorry don't have it you gotta bring the old one in so we can see it (which reminds me i gotta drop off old one ) and yes Titus made it happened had a blast thank you soooo very much. I went into this location needing a diagnostics run because my vehicle was acting up. a young man(early 20's) is the one who I spoke to and was the one who ended up doing the diagnostic. he ends up telling me and I quote "your battery is definitely fine...more than likely its your alternator or starter". I asked him "are you sure?" he ends up walking inside and talking to another gentleman about the diagnosis and then coming to me and saying "yes. its definitely your alternator." after purchasing said alternator. installing alternator. it was not the alternator. completely different part was the problem. frustrated. pissed. read more

Every gentleman was so helpful and 4-5 helped me at different days, trying to make sure I wasn't buying more than I needed to, looked at my car and talked me through how I could replace the parts easily myself, fast, efficient, went out of their way to help me get what I needed. Another manager denied my return, thankfully the employee working the register and the computer were more knowledgeable than them and I received my full refund. Even tho both managers were entirely wrong, the head manager Jose said it's not up to him, but the customer to read the receipt and know the policy. If I could give negative stars I would! If you go to the William cannon location avoid Marco unless you want to NOT be helped, mocked and like having a condescending prick talk down to you. I went here in hopes that I could ask a few questions you know basic questions what's the best oil, wind shield wipers...... etc. I'm not auto inclined at all never took shop class or auto or mechanics in school. I gave him the make and model and year of my car and I asked for oil and windshield wipers. The whole time he said I can't help you if you don't know what you want. Do I know the size do I know what type of oil umm NO that's why i came to Autozone. He laughed and said that doesn't help me so I can't help you in a mocking a-hole attitude way dismissing me. That I needed to go check the size of my windshield wipers.... what? First how would I even do that and second isn't that what he can do by typing in my car info into his computer? If you don't like helping people with auto stuff then you are not in the right place buddy! I've worked in customer service for 10 yrs and you really don't have to be nice when helping but being a jerk/prick to someone instead of helping is a prick move. It took nearly an hour for three male reps to finally replace a battery earlier today - a simple procedure that should have taken mere minutes - as it did for the female rep who replaced a battery for another customer as I waited. Unfortunately, she wasn't my rep. Lesson learned: if I ever step foot in this store again, I'll insist on the female rep and I recommend you do the same. Also, make sure you know about and ask for any credit you deserve - such as the $5 credit for turning in an old battery. If I hadn't asked, I wouldn't have even been told about it. read more

Ordered a thermostat and gasket, but the tech only put in the thermostat in the order. She didn't know what to do and asked the manager several Times on what to do. I spoke up I told her to just order a gasket. She went to the back room and got the thermostat but got the wrong one and ring me up for it. I pointed out for I told her to go get another one. I gave her my coupon and she could not apply the discount. She got her manager who then manually subtracted five dollars from the total and I was out the door. That I noticed that I was not recommended coolant since I was replacing the thermostat and would've lost all of my coolant. I went back and was astonished that there was only one remaining gallon of coolant left where they had not unboxed the other ones and put them on the sales floor yet. I had a little help in finding the right coolant because AutoZone's bottle did not say if it was diluted or not. Both me and associate had looked at this bottle and could not find any identifying information differentiated the two. It seem kind a risky to take and just pour this into my car but I'll try to be safe because I'm saving a few bucks on a bottle but just can't tell me whether or not it's 50-50. When I had purchased the coolant I had used another coupon for five dollars off $25. Unfortunately the sales manager would not bring up the sale like he had run-up the one before because he had chosen not to take five bucks off.yet then tell me to take my Business else where to which I told him to just do his job and sell me my product otherwise I can make his night longer by returning the previous $25 and then adding on the coolant to use a $50 coupon $10 off which would give me the desired price of what I had just purchased. I had told him that if the sales associate had done her job and recommend me to court to begin with I would not be in this mess right now and have the coupon instead. The sales manager refused to make eye contact with me at any point in this now argument. Embarrassed, he had rung up the sale as they please and I had taken my product wish them a great night and thanked him for his business that had left. I told him that my car would've died going to another store that night since I've been running around with the broken thermostat no coolant. When I was coming to the store I had noticed the reviews on Google being so low on yelp for nearing one star and wondered why the store like this would be that bad. The sales associates are not trained in any respect and should not be on the sales floor because they do not understand the POS system or any of the stock items that they carry. I have been the sales associate for eight years on the top of customer service. What I saw would never have passed as quality. Coming from the junkyard moments earlier I was treated with more help and spent less time obtaining my own part and install and then wait in line for something I had ordered two hours prior and wasn't ready yet. Also, their sign outside that says "apply within" is a lie. When I had applied inside for a manager position because I believe that I can do a better job and fix this place, I was told that I had to apply online. It's sad that I have to avoid the store from now on even though it's the closest store to me but I don't mind. I can't deal with these people again. This was pathetic. read more

The worker cut me off as I was explaining my issues and said they don't do diagnostic testing because "they don't want to be liable if they mess it up". I later looked on Autozone's website and it says they run diagnostic testing for many issues at no charge. Most Auto Zones I've been to the employees have been extremely helpful and nice, so it really surprised me how rude and unorganized this one was. We waited in line for almost a half hour while the employees continually served people in the other line who had literally just walked in the door. Finally we spoke up and said that we were in line first and the employee VERY rudely told us to get back in the other line since these customers were making purchases and we had to return an item (we were also making a couple purchases). Meanwhile people coming in who had to pick up parts and were NOT making simple purchases continued to be served ahead of us. I've worked in customer service for years and have rarely seen such a bad system accompanied with outright rudeness. Do yourself a favor and avoid this store. read more

I'm absolutely done with this AutoZone, I'm a very reasonable person, but my patience is up with this place. I'm tired of them having one or two people working with a line that hits the door, all I need to do is check out and buy one item, should not take me 30 minutes. I think that's reasonable, there's a check-out line and a looking for parts line, yet with two guys there they can't cover it. I know it's not the fault of the guys working there, but whoever is the Manager or GM at the place it's their fault.
