This is probably one of the best covers on the market. It retracts into a housing and is strong enough to support some weight on top. I really like the cover itself. However, my purchasing and installation experience deserves some explanation. 1. Product selection: Discount Hitch & Truck Accessories is a competitive business, but like any company, profitability can sometimes compete with installation quality. My impression was that the installers did not receive the same attention to detail as the company's management. 2. Incorrect order: I gave the salesman an additional $100 tip to help ensure my order was correct. Nevertheless, the wrong cover was ordered and installed. I specifically wanted the version with T-slot rails. 3. Installation tip: I also provided another $100 intended for the installer, hoping a little extra time would be spent ensuring everything was properly installed on my brand-new truck. I have no way of knowing whether that money reached the installer. 4. Cover malfunction: The cover subsequently became stuck in the closed position, and I could not free it. The store did repair it. Once again, I attempted to give the installer a $100 tip for extra attention to detail. However, I was immediately directed away from the installation area and had to give the money to the assistant manager for delivery. Whether it reached the installer, I do not know. 5. Quality of adjustments: Unfortunately, the adjustments were still not optimal. The locking mechanism could have sustained serious damage had I not made additional adjustments myself. 6. Debris accumulation: By design, the cover can collect leaves and other debris inside its retractable housing. I have found no practical way to remove that debris, and the manufacturer has not provided a solution. 7. Manufacturer support: I have contacted RealTruck several times seeking technical information about servicing and adjusting the cover. Their assistance has been disappointing. My cover still needs some adjustments, but I am reluctant to return to the original installer. 8. Technical information: I have found useful calibration and service guidance through AI (ChatGPT) that is not available through the manufacturer. 9. Accessory options: The store does not list accessories for my particular cover. They do sell two types of RealTruck rails that hold the cover. The T-slot version allows clamps, hooks, and brackets to be attached to or above the rails. This is an important decision to make before purchasing. 10. T-slot accessories: I found T-slot hooks on Amazon that appear more attractive than those offered by RealTruck. Unfortunately, spending an additional $300 in tips did not produce the results I expected. However, I strongly recommend verifying the exact model and rail configuration before installation, inspecting the completed work carefully, and being prepared for additional adjustments if necessary. The battery died but because when I originally purchased the battery the worker at the time did not put my name in the system they could not find my battery purchase In the system. Even with the receipt, 2 other store managers would not help me. Finally drove to Aleesi's location and he finally helped me. He took my dead battery and replaced it with a new one. I was very grateful that finally someone did the right thing. He was very apologetic and installed my battery and I was in my way!
