I stopped by O' Reilly yesterday when it was raining pickup up some wiper blades for my wife's car…read morefor an entire set of 3 blades. Carlos offered to install them for me. He stood in the rain and got the job done, quickly and efficiently. I can't brag enough of how, genuinely, he displayed what REAL customer service looks like in how he presented himself and treated me like I was a king. Great Job Carlos...O' Reilly needs many more men like you, as you shine for your company while other companies light is pretty dim. Making a long story short...Kudos, you deserve a promotion for the fantastic service you gave.

The website says that if you purchase the battery, they'll help you install it. 3 grown men with no other customers didn't even give them the time of day or even sell them a battery to self install. Instead gave them some BS excuse as of to why they could not install it and told them to take it to the dealer or Walmart FOR A BATTERY CHANGE!!! They then had to walk next door to auto zone in which they were more than happy to help them purchase and install a new battery with no issues. Referring them to competitors because of laziness is bad for business. I hope you employ people in the future who are willing to help a stranded grandmother and granddaughter.

Max, I'm pretty sure that was cashier's name, ran a test and told me that my oxygen sensor was bad. He states he knows a mobile mechanic, Edgar, and he doesn't speak English; he gets to shop in less than 5 minutes. Max asks me to move my car to the side; he stated the store manager is cool but the general manager has a problem with people working on cars in front of shop. After part is "installed," Edgar puts numerous bolts in a garbage pail and drives off. My car gave out shortly after starting it; call AAA. I went into store to ask for name and numbers of sales associate and mobile mechanic. Wrong numbers were given; not surprised.. Before car was towed back to San Antonio, the tow truck driver looks where oxygen sensor is and tells me nothing is there. Yesterday, car was towed again and I asked the guy if he wouldn't mind telling me where a part was; he said no and also told me oxygen sensor was not there. AutoZone, in the Windsor Park, area did an excellent job of assessing and did not try to take advantage of a disabled individual. The same can't be said about the location at 2602 S Congress. AutoZone, sales associates like the ones who worked Sunday afternoon, are not a professional look on your company and will have customers going elsewhere.

My car hadn't been driven much over the last 7 weeks due to shelter orders to stay home, so my battery went bad. I had to get a jump start to leave my house for a couple of errands, but I thought once jumped, the battery sort of recharged itself. Not so Lois Lane! It died again at the gas station and the kindness of strangers took care of me. So, in a mild panic, I needed to find a way to replace my battery on a Sunday evening and Yelp steered me to Auto Zone. I was like, huh? But one reviewer said she got her battery replaced in 10 minutes & I was all like HELL YEAH. ON MY WAY! First of all: ain't NOBODY open late on a Sunday in Austin for an emergency like this, so I was already impressed when I walked in. Second: because it's late on a Sunday, there was only one in line ahead of me, so I was seen quickly. Third: Robert Ruiz might as well have revealed his Superman cape as he swooped in and showed me the battery he recommended AND it came with FREE INSTALLATION (!) by him because he's awesome. They typically don't change out batteries in my particular pain-in-the-ass car, but he said he could totally do it. Fourth: installation was complete in 10-12 minutes and I didn't have to wake up Monday morning having to seek out another jump and then go to have it replaced at some big box shop where I know the wait would have likely been much longer. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
