I wish I could say I've had a great experience but it's been anything but that. I've been driving a rental car for almost two weeks due to them selling me a car with the check engine light on. I drove home and it popped on which leads me to believe it was always there. I've had limited updates on the car itself and it didn't even come with floor mats. I'd be very careful and thoroughly check the cars before buying anything from this dealership.

We were prepared and knew what we wanted when we went in. All research done ahead of time. The managers in the tower tried not to give us the discount that was offered online. We pointed that out and got the discount. Do your research. Be aware that base models do not come with simple things like key fobs, which we were not told of ahead of time. We will now have to pay someone to do it aftermarket. Also, it is almost impossible to get a hold of anyone at this dealership. When I tried the one 800 Nissan number I got different information than I did when I called the dealership. Maybe it's because it's part of the huge AutoNation conglomerate, but customer service is an important thing when you buy a vehicle and I think they could use some improvement in this area.

THIS PLACE IS NOT FOR YOU TO BUY CAR!!! I was talking with brandy for a couple days. She looked up a car for me to buy I went. I looked at it. I liked it. I got my own credit with my own bank. I went in to get the car. She convinced me to get a different year car. Then she told me that the bank wouldn't approve that car because it was a different year. She then proceeded to ask me if I wanted her to run my credit for her Dealership bank and I replied no I was going to walk away. Then later said give me some time I will be right back. She went to her managers office and came back and she ran my credit two times without my permission. Once I left, I got a notification that she ran my credit. I texted her and she did not hold herself responsible and lied to me about running my credit. Now my inquiries are above six because she ran it and my credit score got down by a lot horrible customer service!

We came in on a Sunday after what I could only imagine was a long weekend for these salesmen…read more(Sunday after Thanksgiving) and had the pleasure of working with Ron. He was unbelievably amazing, and I could not recommend him more. From the moment we arrived, he pointed us in the exact direction of the car we came to see. He was never pushy or overwhelming. He gave us the information we needed, stepped back to let us look around on our own, and only stepped in when it truly felt helpful. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the car and all of its features, and he was so kind and patient throughout the entire experience. He made sure we felt comfortable and well taken care of the whole time. We then worked with Josiah for the financial portion, and he was just as incredible. He brought such kindness, understanding, and light to the process. He took what is usually the most stressful part of buying a car and made it calm and surprisingly enjoyable. His guidance, encouragement, and the conversation we had about life and entrepreneurship meant more than he probably realizes. He made a real impact on us, and we are very grateful for the care he showed. Both Ron and Josiah made our experience unforgettable. We could not be happier with the way we were treated and highly recommend working with them.

I brought it in expecting answers and support. Instead, I got neither. They don't offer loaner cars, so I had to spend $350 on a rental for just three days. After all that, they told me it was just a "glitch in the system." No real explanation. No accountability. No compensation for my time or money wasted. To make it worse, they left my car with 7 miles in the tank because they "had to drive it to get a read." That should have been clearly explained upfront. It wasn't. When I asked for a ride home, they told me the shuttle was closed so once again, I had to spend more of my own money. The whole place feels cold and robotic. No empathy. No effort to make things right. When you buy a new car, you expect support -- not to be brushed off and left paying out of pocket for their mistakes. I would not recommend Tempe Honda to anyone who expects real customer service.

We went in to look at a 2026 Hyundai Ionic 5 and do some research on the vehicles. We told the…read moresalesperson, Daniel, from the beginning that we were just checking things out and not going to purchase until we had completed our research with 3 different vehicles. We thought we were pretty clear from the start and that he understood that. He was informative and if he did not know something, he looked it up before responding so that he could give us the correct information. Daniel explained that he was new and that is why he sometimes did not know the information and did not want to give us false information. Now comes the biggest reason for the 1 star. His "manager" Greg never spoke directly to us even though he walked to Daniel's desk where we were sitting to retrieve some paperwork. I believe Greg was determined that we were going to purchase that day one way or the other. We told them we had received a quote from Carmax to sell our vehicle to them and therefore would not be trading a vehicle in it we purchased from them. It went from "we can match what they are offering" to "they could not have offered you that much" to "do you have proof of a quote that they offered you $18,700?" So in reality they were calling us liars. My husband showed him the email and then all of a sudden it was "They will never give you that amount. They are going to nickel and dime you and not give you any more than what we are offering ($13,200)." During this entire time, they did not give our key fob back so we were stuck there for 3 1/2 hours- MUCH longer than our expected research time. Guess what, we ended up purchasing our vehicle from Horne Hyundai in Apache Junction. The entire experience was completely different from that of AutoNation Hyundai of Tempe. I will not recommend their location or services, nor will be return. If I could give AutoNation Hyundai of Tempe negative starts rather than having to give at least one star, then I would. Additionally, Daniel at one point had the nerve to ask us why another salesperson had been speaking to us. Seriously? She never tried to take a sale away from him. In fact, I was the one that spoke to her first. She obviously had been a salesperson longer than him due to her knowledge. I am not sure if he was concerned because she was female or if it was because she was a different color than him or maybe a combination. However, that was definitely a put off to my husband and me. Completely unprofessional to say the least.

Before committing to a 4-hour round trip, we spoke directly with Lisa Mora to confirm everything. She assured us the offer would stand as long as the vehicle condition matched what we submitted, which it did, and even said we'd likely have more leverage in person. After arriving, the offer was suddenly reduced by $6,000. We were told the original price was set by "corporate," yet the store then ran their own KBB-style search and based the new number on that instead. This had nothing to do with the condition of the vehicle. It was accurately represented from the start. This felt like a clear bait and switch. It also felt like they will say whatever is needed to get you in the door, even if it doesn't match how the process actually works. The policies are not transparent, and the "certified" offer was not honored. We wasted an entire Sunday and a full tank of diesel on a process that was misleading from the start. If the online certificate is not reliable, that needs to be made clear upfront so customers can make informed decisions. I would not recommend making a long trip based on their online appraisal.

Women, please read before visiting Acura of Tempe!…read more My husband had a deal worked out with Josh and his sales manager Richard, Dec 19th, they said they would hold the vehicle for me until Saturday, Dec 20th as long as I arrived at opening. Before driving an hour to the dealership, my husband text Josh to confirm the vehicle was ready. I was supposed to test drive the car, and my husband was on the way to sign documents which was already arranged. I arrived at opening as promised on Dec 20th, to be told by Josh, "I have bad news they sold the RDX you wanted last night, but we have another one you will like". Josh tried to sell me another car more expensive and not at all what I wanted. As a female I felt they took advantage of me because my husband was not present. They even tried to have me sign off on the other car, before my husband was present. Total slimy car salesman technique. I walked out. We have bought several vehicles from Acura of Tempe in the past, and never had this bad of an experience. Today 2 days later, December 21st, they show the car is still available. See the photo and vin on picture with dealership name. Clearly they were trying to take advantage of me. They lost a long time customer all because they wanted to be deceitful. We wont be buying another car from Acura Of Tempe in the future. The service department is however great because they have Abel. Please see my previous review.

The night before purchase, I test drove the Sportage and loved the vehicle, but not the color options available. Dave asked if I would allow Tempe Kia to do a dealer trade rather than me purchasing from another Kia dealership, which I agreed to. Before driving out for pickup, I explicitly asked if the vehicle had been inspected for scratches, wheels, and interior condition. Dave assured me everything would be perfect. At delivery, I noticed marks on the hood that wiped off with a solution and was told they were from tape and packaging. I was also informed my spare key was missing and would be delivered after Thanksgiving. I left the dealership around 8pm. Once home, my family noticed scratches on the roof and rails. I emailed Dave and Chuck Flair with photos on Thanksgiving morning and followed up the next business day. I was told it was just tape residue and would be an easy fix. I was also informed the spare key was never found and I would need to return to have a new one programmed. I was promised a full tank of gas for the inconvenience. Over the next two weeks, communication was slow despite multiple follow-ups. I returned on December 12th for the newly programmed key and residue removal. Under dealership lighting, the residue appeared mostly gone, but the gas tank was nearly empty. Once home, the marks were still clearly visible in my garage lighting, and there was new damage, including a scratched and scuffed taillight and an additional scratch below it. I contacted John ,the sales GM, and sent photos. He told me they would "make it right" and explained that Dave, who previously worked in a body shop, took it upon himself to perform the work because detail was backed up. A few days later, my car was picked up from my house for repairs. That evening, I checked the vehicle security app I purchased from the dealership and saw my car's last known location was a residential address, not the dealership. This made me extremely uncomfortable. When I asked about it, I was told John wasn't aware and would check, but he never followed up. GM Katelyn Hall later told me she "assumed" it was just a GPS ping while the transporter was driving. I researched the address and discovered it belonged to the same individual transporting my vehicle. John later confirmed my car had been taken on a personal errand to the transporter's parent's house -- without my authorization. The next day, I was told the car turned out great. When it was delivered back to me, my partner and I were shocked -- it looked worse. Cody, the transporter, agreed the damage did not look right and told us the work had been done by a manager and his son, by hand. He also stated he questioned damage to the clear bra before leaving the dealership but was told it was not one of my documented concerns. This damage did not exist when my car was picked up. He took pictures. The issues included: * Scratches across black panels * Poor buffing leaving heavy swirl marks * Damaged clear bra * Original taillight damage not addressed * Roof scratches still present * A new scratch above the passenger front wheel I refused delivery and sent the car back. I documented all concerns to John and received no response aside from a text that was sent and then unsent. The clear bra was replaced and the car detailed again. When I asked what would happen if issues were still present after delivery, I received no response. I then received a call from a sales manager, Jeremy, who informed me there was also a dent made when the bra was damaged. He said he could fix it but they would have to keep my car longer. He was going to talk to the GM. GM Katelyn Hall requested all photos and documentation, which I provided. She then stated they did not owe me anything because I did not sign a "we owe" document at original delivery. This is deeply concerning, as the damage occurred after purchase during dealership handling. I asked if there was a "we owe" document for the spare key they lost and received no response. Despite extensive documentation, emails, texts, and phone logs promising the issues would be fixed, I ultimately received an email accusing me of trying to "take advantage of their kindness." This was a brand-new vehicle that I was excited and proud to purchase. Instead, it has been mishandled, damaged, transported to an unauthorized location, and met with a complete lack of accountability from the GM after her team promised to make things right. I still do not understand how or why this was allowed to happen, and I would strongly caution others to not do business with this company and if you have to, thoroughly document all communication.
