My car suddenly indicated my left turn signal was out RIGHT before I needed it inspected. I scrambled to find somewhere that could fix it but my car has a horrible set up and most places didn't have the tools to replace it. The dealership wanted to charge me $400 for the light alone, not including the labor to change it. I panicked and Googled for a mechanic near me. RepairSmith was the first to answer my call and scheduled to come much sooner than the dealership could schedule me! The mechanic came to my house and I had messed up the message, so he didn't have the right part. But he gave me a more accurate quote, still did a full diagnostic, and scheduled me for the right part as soon as he could- still sooner than the dealership! I talked to him about my car frustrations and he didn't try to upsell me at all, he walked me through recommendations and things worth holding off on. He even answered my questions about which cars would be better when I finally ditch the car he was working on! He felt like a mechanic I can legitimately trust. The day he was scheduled to come back, it looked like it was going to storm and we had flash flood advisories. We were worried about him driving out but also worried he wouldn't be able to do the repair. He called and asked if he could work in our garage, not even mentioning rescheduling! He did say he was worried about flooding and he'd keep us updated but he was doing his best. We, of course, opened our garage to him and when he arrived I asked if he had enough room. He was more worried about our stuff in the garage getting wet if it started raining while he was working than the amount of room we had for him. It was very thoughtful! He helped me move the things that could've gotten wet by rain and then went right to work. He did everything so quickly and was very nice the entire time he was here. He changed both turn signal lights and my brake pads, all under the $400 the dealership was going to charge for just one light! Never have I ever met such a considerate, trustworthy mechanic who I legitimately felt safe around with reasonable prices, and the comfort and convenience of him coming to my home?!? 10/10 would recommend and do plan on returning to RepairSmith as long as I can! read more

I'm pretty handy and do nearly all of my own car maintenance. Our 2017 Ford Expedition 3.5L Ecoboost just turned 100K miles and needed new spark plugs. I bought the plugs and boots online and got up early to tackle the job on a Sunday. After an hour of working hard at it I could not get the ignition coils to come out as they were "sealed". Having not replaced the plugs on the 3.5L V6 before I decided to hire a professional given the difficulty I was having. I booked an appointment with Repairsmith for 10:00 - 12:00. Chris showed up shortly after 10:00. I popped the hood and explained the above to him. He told me, "yeah those things can really get sealed on there tight. But you can't pry them off or you'll bust the coils and create a whole new set of problems. You just have to work them out." About an hour later I went outside and Chris was lay across the engine pulling the last coil out by hand. This man was working hard. He got all six off and replaced all the plugs. He fired the engine and everything sounded great. I drove it shortly after and the engine behaved perfectly. Chris confirmed that the coils were sealed tighter than he'd seen before. But he never took a shortcut or tried to pry them out. He just painstakingly pulled them out by hand. He took time afterwards to show me the old plugs and explained that based on his experience the engine was running well for a car with 100K miles. I got a full 20-point inspection on the car with everything checking out (i.e. no hard sell on additional unneeded services.) In short, my experience with RepairSmith was great. They are definitely a next-gen convenient car service that is easy to schedule online.. but the real reason I would recommend them to anyone reading this is the solid dude that came out and worked his tail off to get the plugs replaced. As price is always a major consideration, the cost was about 10% more than I could have paid at a traditional repair shop. But the convenience of having the work done while I worked at home was more than worth it. read more

I've been back and forth with RepairSmith for almost a year now dealing with brake issues. But let me start off by saying the technicians are great people just unfortunately not the most knowledgeable. To sum everything up, I bought a car through Carvana and it needed the brake pads, rotors and calipers replaced on all 4 wheels. After going back and forth with the warranty company we got everything approved and RepairSmith did the work. Well here we are less than a year later and the rear pads are worn out and have ruined one of the rotors. RepairSmith only offers a 12 month or 12,000 mile warranty which is crazy considering they purchase their parts through local part stores. Mine were purchased by them through oreileys auto parts. Since they don't supply their own parts and they purchase them on a case by case basis why not give the part store the customer information so that they may utilize the manufacture warranty that comes with them. Instead of making them pay for all new parts again when it's a manufacturer defect. This entire situation is beyond frustrating and I'm once again stuck arguing with them for what should've been a simple we will fix the problem situation. read more

This has been a great resource with top rate service. I had to replace an oxygen sensor that a repair shop quoted me an extremely high price. Luckily, I did a little homework and came across RepairSmith. Easy interface and the idea I could a mechanic to me without waiting for hours in a waiting room sounded great. The best part is was the two mechanics that came to my driveway, Jordan and Cannon. Both very professional, quick and supremely courteous. Not only did they come at the window of time they said, they put on masks during these uncertain times (a big plus for me and my family), the work was done quickly and even went to the extra effort to pop in my bumper cover that would have costed me hundreds if I had gone to a body shop. Filled out the necessary information and had this service come over in less than a week. They showed up at the exact time they indicated and the repair went smoothly. The employee I worked with was a man named Jordan - he was incredibly helpful and very professional. He was even willing to take some time to explain the issues my vehicle was having. my car broke down on Monday 05/30/22 and I had to contact Repair Smith through silverock and Alexandre Da Silva was the mobile repair mechanic that was assigned to diagnose my vehicle on Tuesday so I explained my situation on how bad I need my vehicle to go to work and because of his tight schedule he couldn't finish and he made sure to add me on his schedule for Wednesday and he completed the diagnosis and sent the reports which was approved for my vehicle to get repaired. I was scheduled for Saturday to get my vehicle repaired but Alexandre insisted they should have me on the schedule the next day due to my situation. I rarely write reviews, but when the service is exceptional, as it was with RepairSmith, I want to share my experience, so others can benefit. First, I found the website and quoting process very user-friendly. The lead tech Cannon arrived on-time, was super friendly and knowledgeable about my vehicle and how best to approach the issue. He completed the service early and went above and beyond, checking the tire pressure, topping off the windshield wiper fluid, reattaching the internal line, etc.. You can't ask for more. Wow, I cannot recommend Mariano of RepairSmith in Austin TX enough. He was incredibly thorough and diligent making all necessary repairs on my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee to get it up to snuff again.
