Original review 10/31/2025: DO NOT GO HERE. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. ​If I could leave zero stars, I would. This has been one of the most frustrating experiences I've ever had. After almost 2 weeks of waiting. I finally got a confirmation to come and pick up my truck around 5pm. But the real kicker came after the work was finally done. I got to the shop, returned the rental that they arranged for me and patiently waited like I did for the past 11 days. At around 4:30pm, I got a call from them telling me that they refuse to release my own vehicle to me. ​Why? Not because of me, but because their staff was "unable to get a service code from Ford" for the warranty work. They are literally holding my car hostage, after it's already fixed, because of their own internal paperwork or billing issue with Ford. ​How is that my problem? My car is finished. I've done my part. But here I am, unable to get my property because they can't figure out their own administrative process. It is completely incompetent and unprofessional. You don't hold a customer's car hostage over a billing code. ​I am beyond furious. This is the worst service I've ever encountered. Avoid this place at all costs unless you want your car held for ransom over their clerical errors. Update as of November 4 2025: After calling the director yesterday, he immediately pointed fingers at Autonation Ford, claiming they hadn't given "final" approval. He promised to work on it and get back to me. ​He did call back around 3 p.m., claiming he had the "code" and was just "finalizing the final details." He led me to believe I'd be picking up my truck yesterday. ​Fast forward to today, and I've received no calls and no updates. Bad all around. Held my car even when repairs to the front were completed. Told me that the insurance company was not paying that the car had to wait. Once I said my lawyer would be involved, they gave me my car. Here is the crooked thing, when I did get the car back, something was wrong with the car, for it was humming bad. I took it back to them, and they said your passenger back tire is showing wire. I just had put new tires one the back before the accident as well as spent money on new incandescent bulbs. They never fixed the horn either, which the insurance paid for. I know 100% they did a switch. Do not trust them. That new Collison Manager is crooked! read more

Updated to add that Autonation Collision did have another of their shops redo the repairs to a higher standard. Jimmy considered the work to be good enough, but thankfully others disagreed. There was visible rippling in areas, paint drips, and the hood was still on crooked. I was without the car another 6 weeks as all of the work needed to be redone, but my hood is FINALLY on straight so I am very happy. The car is back to pristine condition and the work was beautifully done (at Autonation Galleria). read more

I took my car here to have it repaired due to someone hitting me and causing damage to the front grill and bumper. First of all, they were very inconsistent and vague as to when my car would be ready. Then when it was ready, they call me at 2:30 on the Friday afternoon before Mother's Day and say I need to come pick it up because the insurance company won't pay for the rental after Friday. So I couldn't pick it up on that short notice so I picked it up the next morning. When I went to pick it up, I noticed some paint missing in 2 areas that they didn't even work on. Come to find out they used a power washer to clean it and wanted to say it was just wear and tear. What makes me so angry about this is that they didn't want to take responsibility for what THEY did. And finally after an hour of arguing with them, they said they would turn it into their relations department. That was a month ago and I still haven't heard anything from them. The damage they did is going to be costly because the whole quarter panel needs to be repainted, not just the area where the paint came off. Don't take your car here. Find someone who has more integrity. read more

Before you take your car to this place please read this. I know it is long, but trust me the last thing you want to do is take your vehicle to this place. If I could give no stars I would. My experience with AutoNation Collision Center Katy was horrible. Victor was kind through the entire process, however, I do not think he cared that I was out of my car for the time of the repair. I brought my 2018 Mustang in after I was hit and there was damage to the rear quarter panel. I dropped my car off December 27th and by the time it was all said and done I had my car semi back to "normal" on April 25th. They constantly were arguing with the insurance company of the person that hit me. Leaving me in the middle of it spending hours on the phone and in the shop trying to solve their problems. The original repair was ridiculously long. This created a disagreement with the shop and insurance. The insurance typically only covers I believe 30 days of a rental. So they put the ending date of the rental 30 days after I picked it up (after all the holidays) 1/3/20 is when I picked it up so that saved some days on the rental. When the deadline of the rental approached I started calling the shop to ask when I can come to get my car. Victor proceeded by saying that they were held up from the insurance company. I called the insurance company and they added 15 days to the rental to cover them holding up the shop for 9 days due to late responses to additional supplements and they added 6 days for my troubles. So I was okay, I had a car to drive. The end of the 15-day extension was approaching and I called the shop again and they said that my car was not able to be picked up for at least another month. At this point, I am about to have to foot the bill for a rental for over 30 days or go without a car for 30 days at least. This left me in a hard spot because the insurance had already helped me out with the 15-day extension. After me having to deal with the extra 35 days without a rental and my car still being in the shop I picked it up the first time in mid-March. 80 or so days without my car with 35 being out of a rental. 80 days to fix a collision that was not total worthy. The original estimate was not even 45% of what it ended up being in the end... that screams poor estimating to me. To add to the case, this was zero interior damage, zero engine damage, zero headlights or taillight damage, zero convertible damage, and zero transmission damage. And it took over 80 days to complete. Give them the benefit of the doubt and the insurance held them up 10 days. That is still 70 days! Ford can make a brand new car in 60 days. The day I pick up my car I was excited. I pick it up and notice that they only fixed the quarter panel and the door was still damaged. I emailed Victor and he did not fight me on it. I received the car back and drove back to the house. Now that I am not super trusting of the shop I took a good look at the paint job. There were drips down the edge of the door and on the contours of the car. There were also what looks like specs of crud in the paint that made divots in the finish. I was not happy, I called Victor and he again said that we would fix it. I took it by and picked it back up when they fixed the issues. This was my 4th time picking it up from the shop. I was not too happy... As I was driving home I had the sunbeam through the window and I thought it was weird because I have tent on the window. Yep, a scratch in the window tent. When I thought it was done, it wasn't. I got it repaired and they cut me a check for the invoice. When I took the car for Victor to see the tent I noticed overspray on a different panel of the car. I brought up to another sales rep due to Victor being out and he came out and cleaned my car down with paint thinner. Who knows what that did to the life of the paint. After all of that, I will not take my car back. Different panels and trim pieces are loose or broken inside and out. I have had to glue parts of my car back. I wish I could go back and take my car elsewhere. Hope this helps. read more

My car was brought in for a fairly minor accident. I hit a deep rut in the road and the briny end dipped and made contact with the ground. The plastic bumper needed to be replaced as well as the radiator and the front impact bar that supports the radiator. It was brought to them on June 6th. It is now September 15th and I still don't have my car back. The first guy that was calling me estimated 3-4 weeks to get fixed and over $9k in damages (I don't know how). They later added over $2k in addition to that. He was not very responsive but he stopped working there around a month later, and a new guy named Curtis started to call me regularly with updates. Curtis has been very polite and professional but I get a different story each time he calls. I'm not sure if there's something screwy going on and he's the one that has to break it to the customer or if he's just lying to me to keep me from getting upset, but I'm starting to get really aggravated because this car is my commuter that gets good mpg's and has my toll tag so I'm kinda screwed without it. I was told it would be 3-4 weeks, then I was told that they were waiting on one part and then I'd have it back within a day or two after that, then I was told the part was still not shipped so they're looking for a way to get it, then I was told it was backordered, then I was told that the customer in front of me just got there's so I should be next, then I was told it would be ready last Friday or early Monday, and then Monday afternoon I was told it would be ready within 6-24 hours. It's now Thursday, 101 days into the repair process, and I still don't have my car back. My parents have a brand new f250 king ranch that was broken into while it still had paper plates. They were able to get both tail lights replaced, the door handle and lock assembly replaced, and the glove box compartment fixed within 2 weeks over at Mcree Ford, but it takes over 3 months just to order an impact bar for my 2021 Bronco Sport? I'm sorry but you can only blame supply chain disruptions for so much. read more

AutoNation Ford collision center katy is a rip off! The adjuster did not wait on the approval for the repairs from the insurance company to touch the vehicle. The technician broke the tail light removing it and the box top panel and disassembled my vehicle before getting approval from the insurance company to even touch my vehicle. The service adviser said that since they already took everything apart, and the insurance did not approve of the repairs that the repairs are not going to be covered by the insurance. AutoNation management not doing their job nether are the adjusters or the technicians. The tail lamp alone is more than $500 dollars, the plastic panel is more than $500 dollars the labor is more than $2000 dollars , the total cost of the parts and disassembly, paint and reassembly is about $ 4000 dollars. Autonation is responsible for breaking parts of my vehicle and now their telling me the insurance wont cover it after they already took it apart and that the costs are about $4000 dollars. Autonation and Autonation Ford is Nothing but a ripoff fraudulent scam company. Do Not do business with Ford Autonation or anything that says Autonation at all. read more

Ok. So I was involved in an accident on July 14th, 2015 and the truck had to be towed in because my radiators were busted. So in goes the truck, I receive an estimate saying it would be approximately 20 days working on the truck. On July 27th, insurance gave them to go-ahead to begin working on the truck. However, before that, they told me they would go ahead and tear down the damaged areas so once insurance gave them approval to work on the truck, they could get started immediately. On July 28th (I believe) they told us they just started tearing down the truck, which they told us they would do in the time before insurance approval. Also, because they had to deal with losses of staff in the bodyshop, calling the employee who was in charge of dealing with my truck was almost impossible to get on the phone, so I would visit the bodyshop almost daily just so I could force them to have to give me a status update (thankfully the bodyshop is on my way home so it wasn't too big of a hassle to drop by). It gets worse. On two or three different occasions we were told the truck would be ready. The first time, they found the track bar had to be replaced because it was bent, and I understand the importance of this suspension item so I let it slide and understood. The second time I went, everything was done except for one of my headlights (aftermarket headlights). Because the headlight had not been completed, I did not want to pick it up because I did not want to have to drop my truck off on my own time. It also took them three visits and friendly but firm reminders to fix some minor scratches on the door which had not been there before the bodyshop. They did get it fixed and it looked good, so I was pleased with that. And I visit yesterday, SEPTEMBER 8, 2015 to get another progress update on my truck. What I found horrified me. On my BRAND NEW front bumper, there were two nickel-quarter scratch/dents (better description would be a crater) in it and it was obvious they tried to cover it up with touch-up and hope I didn't notice; however, not only did they use the wrong color touch-up paint, they used the wrong color touch up paint on a dent which they made no attempt to fix the dent itself, so even if they had used the right color paint, it would still be obvious. So Christina orders them to take the truck around back. I saw the truck come back from being in the back of the shop. He (Marco) was speeding in REVERSE IN A SMALL PARKING LOT IN AN F250!!!!!! He whips it around the turn, pulls in front of the entrance to the bodyshop, leaves it running with the door open for 5 minutes with no supervision!!! Then he hops back in, whips around the turn and chirps the tires and proceeds to push it harder as he goes back to the back of the shop WHILE I WAS THERE!!!!! I was so mad I was shaking! If that happened while I was there, I don't want to imagine what they did with it while I wasn't there! I spoke with Rich, the manager, and he was furious and he personally apologized for the incident and for the touchup paint issue. He personally scolded Marco for his actions behind the wheel of my truck. However, I will admit they products they use and the shine they put on the truck made it look amazing. In all: -virtually impossible to access Christina except in person -20 day repair turned into two months and I still don't have my truck back (July 14th-September 9th) -Personally watched my truck be recklessly driven in a parking lot by a bodyshop employee -Attempted coverup of major mistake (dent in bumper) didn't even use right color paint!!!!!! -Customer service seems to be nonexistent here. Not once did I receive any sort of apology for anything that transpired here, not even when I watched an employee recklessly drive my truck in the parking lot while I was there. Phrases like "it is what it is" seems to be the best they can muster. And apparently the phrase "the customer is always right" does not apply to these people. Empty promises and runarounds seem to be what these people are good at. While the work they do has looked nice so far, customer service is horrible and have caused me many headaches. My truck is my pride and joy, but this experience almost makes me wish I had just totaled it!!!! I would not wish this experience on my worst enemy!!! read more

First, I just want to say that if I could give ZERO stars, I would. While we have had great experience with Autonation as a dealership, the Autonation Collision Center in Katy has absolutely been the worst customer service experience. It took them almost THREE months to fix our car when we received a 20-30 day estimate, and they only offered a rental AFTER they had our car for 4 weeks, and only because we pushed them to. We were told countless times that our car was ready to be picked up, and would leave early from work (you know houston traffic) to get to the collision center only to find out that they "had to order another part or tweak one more thing" so the car wasn't actually ready. THEN- the rental car that we finally got from them (through Enterprise), and was supposed to be of no charge to us, ended up costing us $1200 SIX MONTHS LATER because they failed to pay Enterprise for the service. By default, we had to cover the cost if Enterprise did not receive the payment from the collision center. We also did not get reimbursed for toll fees from Automation, which had accrued to over $300 from driving the car more than 30 days. When we found out we'd been charged the $1200 the collision center did not pay, we were promptly told a refund check would given to us and that it would be ready by the end of the same day. We thought, wow this is great. Then we found out the check actually was not ready, and were told that someone would call us the next day to give us the check. This went on every day for over a week, with nobody calling us back when they say they will, and no refund check in sight. Their excuse is that they need the check approved by corporate- but would not give us a contact at the corporate site to call. Since nobody would call us back when they said they would, we ended up having to call to check the status twice each day for over a week. Finally, after it had been over a week, the representative told us "We just sent our check to Enterprise so they'll be refunding you now." Are you kidding me?! Now I have to go chase a check from Enterprise. The representatives I spoke to (and that has been just about everyone at the collision center) never even apologized or tried to make the process easier for us at any time. One rep even had the audacity to sound on the phone as if WE were the ones being a nuisance. I bet if THEY had just lost $1200 it would have been more of an issue for them. ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIC CUSTOMER SERVICE. We are filing a complaint with Automation Collision Centers and definitely the BBB. Additionally, we absolutely, under no circumstances, recommend this collision center to anyone, nor would we return to this or any Autonation collision center ever again. read more

I bought my car from the dealership, so I took it in to their collision center after 2 people decided they wanted to hit my rear bumper, denting it, ruining the paint and puncturing holes in it. I dealt with John, he was extremely friendly and had fantastic communication throughout the process. The repairs were done within 4 days, as predicted, and were done extremely well. My car looks new again. I am eternally grateful for their services and will come back if I ever need any more body work on my miata. THANK YOU! read more

This shop is very rude, they lie, and do poor quality repair work. Save your time and go elsewhere. I took our vehicle there to repair the front bumper and fender from an accident (covered by insurance) and the rear bumper (separate incident which came from my pocket). After a week they called for us to pick up the vehicle. There were runs in the paint, finger marks pressed into the paint, chips, the paint didn't match, and the bumper was not installed properly. The manager told my wife that it was impossible to match the plastic bumper to the metal fender. This is obviously a lie unless Subaru has magus potion. I left work and drove there. After arguing for 30 mins and calling our insurance they said to bring the car back on Monday and they would repair it properly. We returned the car first thing Monday morning. That friday we were called to pick up the car. It was honestly worse than the first attempt. This time Aaron, the "manager", tried the same tactic that "you cannot match plastic to metal". I told him to give me my money and we would go to another shop. After 3 weeks we received the money from the labor but not from the parts, which have to be replaced due to improper repairs made by autonation. We also had to pay Subaru two hours labor to reconnect wiring in the doors that was disconnected by autonation. I asked for the supervisors information which Aaron would not provide to me. I have left messages with autonation corporate and Aaron's supervisor which, at the time of this review, have not been returned. Aaron is arrogant, dishonest and Autonation quality control is beyond poor. All I want is a refund of the parts that have to be replaced due to their poor workmanship and, so far, they have refused. At this point, I am gathering information for a fraud and negligence lawsuit. Save your time and stress and go to another body shop. read more
