Auto parts thrown into my car. According to the employee they do this with all vehicles with no regard to your items.
    Christy H.

I'm giving 1 stars because of the poor customer service that is autonation collision center. my frustrations with this place comes from the damage to my personal items that were left in my vehicle. I got my vehicle fixed after I was rear ended at the Autonation in Tempe, AZ. I turned my vehicle in and as soon as I got it back from repair (same day of my move to TX) I was so focused on moving that I didn't really do a full inspection of the repairs/repaint as well as the paneling. The panel gaps were so large water entered them, color was not a match of the rest of my vehicle and my mud flaps were never re-installed onto my car. I called this place and Charles assured me that my vehicle would be fixed and they'd take care of it. (Which they didi). I needed to turn the rental car in early that they got me because I had to fly back to PHX but I wanted to remove the items that I had left in my car since my car was being left unlocked. (They were aware I had these items in the car as well.) Upon arriving to my vehicle I opened the trunk and all the car parts were thrown into my car and onto my leather seats - scratching my interior leather as well as damaging 2 custom 3x5 art pieces that are valued around $700 each and would've appreciated more in value over the years had they not been damaged. If you are going to use my car for the storage of parts you could put my seats down and not place things directly on my leather. Or call me and tell me to remove my items especially when you were informed those items were in there. The solution? An interior and exterior detail. After having to deal with a month of repairs on top of the frustrations that come with an accident I also had to deal with the damage of my personal items of value. I appreciate the detail but that doesn't provide me with any solution - especially when as soon as I regularly use my car the scratching of my leather will be more noticeable. I will update this review with pictures.. Update 07/12 - called based off the review response and couldn't even talk to the GM. Who is Charles. No one could give me their insurance information. Attached are the photos. Update 07/27 - I have waited for 3 weeks for someone to contact me. Charles is out sick and has been out sick. No one has contacted me to rectify this situation. I have had radio silence and have lost roughly $3k in permanent vehicle damages by this repair shop. It's almost as if they don't care about customer service now.

Just a warning if you think this body shop is great because it's part of AutoNation and right across the street from the Toyota dealer, then you're dead wrong. I had a deer hit me my Corolla on the side, there was a minor dent on the rear and passenger door, I assume the cost and time to repair would be minimal (I attached pictures, so you'll have an idea) but I was completely wrong. From the time of drop off to my pickup it took about 7 weeks! I took pictures of the impact and did an online estimate through my insurance. The initial estimate was around $1200, I took it to AutoNation center on 8/21/2023 for in-person estimate, the shop estimator I work with was Jerry. His estimate was a lot higher than my insurance but couldn't give a $ amount or time of estimate but I decided a drop off date of 8/28. That was a mistake, 2 weeks went by, and I had not heard anything from Jerry, so I called and left a message. I got a call back on 9/14 saying all parts are in and just waiting for a technician for painting. It was a clear lie because another 2 weeks went by, I have not heard anything, so I called on 9/25, apparently, Jerry has not submitted his supplement to my insurance which came out to about 7K! A lot more than Geico's initial estimate. So, on 9/25 the repairs had not begun, my only issue was the length of repair. My guess is the shop was disputing the amount of repair and had to wait for Geico adjuster to inspect, which is why I believe it took 7 weeks. Whether or not the supplement repair was necessary or not is debatable and can't confirm but I believe its price gouging. I was finally able to pick up my car on 10/16, at the time, the shop was still disputing over $700 total repair. They did a good job with the repair but again it was a barely noticeable dent, no panel needed replacement, some damage to the rear wheel; it was mostly labor for "painting", it should not have taken so long and so much $$. I don't blame Geico for the entire process, this shop is shady asf. You may take my review as a grain of salt, but they will make you sign a waiver (at time of drop off) agreeing not sue them for taking a long time to repair, means they have been sued a lot before for this type of behavior. Lesson learned, next time I will go to a body shop recommended by my insurance, if they pick any AutoNation I will avoid.

Jason helped me out and it was phenomenal. Got me in next day after I got home from the holidays and took a deer to the front of my Tacoma going about 65. Super extensive damage, and in the middle of the supply chain issues, but they got everything straightened out. Got good updates, and they even air freighted in some parts when they found out my original pieces were stuck on a boat outside LA. My best experience with any auto body work. I hope I dont *need* to see them again anytime soon, but if I do I would absolutely go back here.

Two words: UNPROFESSIONAL and DECEITFUL…read more I truly don't know where to begin. I despise writing a poor review for a locally-owned business, but after months of being led-on and ignored, I am writing this in hopes of saving someone else's precious time. My husband was in a car wreck in October 2025. The person who rear-ended him has terrible insurance, so we decided to file a claim through our insurance, Allstate. Capital City Collision provided us a quote that our insurance did not agree with. An Allstate negotiator went back and forth with the shop. Part of the issue was my husband's truck had after-market parts that were damaged. Our Allstate negotiator, Elizabeth, called us to confirm that she was able to get funds approved by her manager and they reached an agreement on pricing with the shop. A check for $2,207.66 was sent to the shop to start ordering parts. According to Allstate, the shop cashed the check on January 20th. It is now March 19th and the shop still has yet to reach out. I have tried calling the shop multiple times in the last two months. Each time I call, they answer and hang-up immediately. I tried giving them the benefit of the doubt, thinking maybe they are busy. I tried calling the shop today, and again, same situation: answer, then hang up. I thought to myself, "hmm... maybe they really are ignoring our calls?" So I waited 15 minutes and called back with a blocked number. What do you know... Catherine decided to pick up and answer this time! She kept me on hold for 9 minutes before taking me off hold and hanging up on me immediately. I called back, and a man answered. He transferred me up to Catherine, who kept me on hold for 4 minutes this time and hung up immediately. While I was on hold the second time, I received a text message saying they wouldn't do business with us. They ignored my text, asking when they planned on returning the check they cashed for $2,207.66. My husband and I have been trying to get his truck fixed since October 2025. It is now March 2026. I understand that our insurance was being difficult to work with... we were annoyed by Allstate, too! That being said, Capital City Collision could have rejected our business months ago, instead of stringing us along. Rather than sending this text message 5 months ago when this all started, they chose to dodge our calls and waste our time. Unprofessional does not even begin to describe their behavior. They were avoidant, deceptive, thieving, and rude.

Great service and great quality!!

This is a lengthy review, so buckle up (ha...ha)…read more I initially sought out Autocraft because I needed to get some rear-end damage repaired on my Tesla (i.e. trunk replacement). They were booked out pretty far, but long story short, they ended up being able to move up my appointment (drop off) date a bit earlier than initially anticipated, which was great. The downside of this was that I was spending some time in San Angelo, TX (which was a couple hours' drive from this location, so that was kind of a pain. However, I got scheduled, and dropped the car off with Autocraft, and they hooked me up with a shuttle over to the Enterprise to pick up my rental. Cool. Everything is going smoothly so far. A note about the drop-off: Christian was the one doing the intake for the car, and he marked all the areas that they intended to remove/replace with a black grease pencil (which I have photos of, and will be attached to this review). Moving on... Over the next few weeks, there were some dealings back and forth between myself, Autocraft, and my insurance company, which was mostly just trying to get everything settled between the estimate, accepting the estimate, and getting the monies where it needed to be. BREAK--- Goodness, it's been 3 years and I completely forgot that I never finished this review... Hopefully I can pick up where I left off, if not, I'll sum it up. The general overview is: Autocraft overcharged my insurance (not my business, I guess), then did generally kind of sloppy work (which took forever), then tried to trick me with incorrect tint (first of all, they actually didn't even re-tint my small back windows after replacing them, and didn't tell me even though they knew I would have to make a two hour drive down there - trying to pull a fast one, so I had to fuss about that and make them get those windows re-tinted, which resulted in further delays and a total waste of time by me even having to make the drive there and back for nothing. Then, then ended up charging my insurance the $1k deductible AND ALSO taking payment from me, so in essence, collecting an EXTRA $1k, until I happened to catch on and had to fuss about that issue to be corrected as well. Then they played around and acted like they didn't have a way to return the funds (after taking their time trying to "figure out" what the discrepancy was), to finally cut me a check. On top of all of this, when I FINALLY went to pick up the car when it was allegedly ACTUALLY ready this time, the tint was still not correct (I had ceramic UV tint, they just got the same tint rating, but the cheap regular tint), there were some chips on my back glass (they acted like they had no idea what this was from - of course blaming it on the fact that they were already there before they started the work), the truck had a bit of misalignment - although it worked fine, it was a little off (and still is to this day). THEN, the finale, to add insult on top of all of the rest of the ~4-6 weeks that this took, when I picked the car up, by the time I got there (remember, two hour drive), it was late in the evening, and they were closing... They managed to poke a hole in my driver's side seat (I know EXACTLY what this was from - Christian specifically, but probably more of their staff, walk around with grease pencils in their back pockets, tip UP), and when I pointed this out, Christian blamed it on my husband (who got in the car for 30 seconds to move it and was wearing SOFT sweatpants with NO pockets on the back or any type of grommet or anything else. So that turned into another argument, and they finally agreed to replace the seat (still issues with this to this day as well), which resulted in... you guessed it... ANOTHER WASTED TRIP. I finally got my car back and just took it and left it alone because I was SO TIRED of dealing with these people and their shenanigans, it was RIDICULOUS! DO. NOT. RECOMMEND!!!!! I cannot express this enough!!!!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE FOR REPAIRS! If I could give ZERO stars, I WOULD!

The shop personnel said that they had to constantly jump start the van in order to move it around. Why would a repair shop knowingly release a vehicle with a dead battery?
