I'm sure the codes were cleared momentarily to manipulate the sale. At the time of the sale, I purchased the extended warranty and Next Step was pushy about their shop doing the repairs. The car was with them for months often on because the repairs were so poorly done. The Audi dealership said upon the initial inspection after I purchased the vehicle, reported the repairs would exceed the value of the car, keep in mind this was shortly after the purchase because the check engine lights were on. The car was inspected by 2 independent mechanics after Next Steps "New Engine" installment and the overwhelming report is that the NEXT STEP should never touch a vehicle again. Bolts were missing parts were put in the wrong place, hoses weren't connected properly. The list goes on and on it was about a 10 page detailed report from each in evaluator. The independent mechanics were disgusted that NEXT STEP would take advantage of a customer because Audi prides itself on brand loyalty rather than making a quick slimy sale. Don't walk away from this place, RUN. It's more like NEXT "MISTAKE" rather than NEXT STEP.

Once in Maryland I had to change the tires as they were bald and Matt refused to replace them before purchase. Then I had the car inspected at the local Mercedes' dealer and it had a major oil leak that had to be repaired in addition to all the maintenance required at 60k miles. Next step Auto Sales does not service their vehicles before selling them. Their goal is to stick you with maintenance costs and not take any liability for the condition of their cars before selling them. The Mercedes' dealer quoted 4K worth of maintenance required after inspection. I purchased the car for 27k. Steve the dealer owner denied the oil leak even though Mercedes' listed this issue on their inspection report. Steve also refused to honor the dealer warranty that came with the vehicle purchase which includes the engine and was quoted for 90 days / 3000 miles. I would not recommend buying a car from this shade tree dealer. Customer satisfaction is not on their radar at all! They just want to get your money and leave you stuck with a poorly maintained vehicle. Very sad. Below are pictures of the air filter and cabin air filter of the Mercedes' that they claimed to have serviced before the sale. Laughable to say the least. These guys should change their dealer name to "3 steps back auto sales"! If it was not for them having the particular car I wanted with the options I was looking for I would not even have bought a car from a non factory sponsored dealer like this one. Not hard to see the difference in customer service and the vehicle condition when using a low budget shady dealer such as this one. Stay away!

Just prior to my husband's passing, he noticed a tire pressure warning light but he was unable to fix it or get to Fuerst for help. Today I drove our car for the first time since my husband died. I drove to Fuerst and with my cane hobbled to the front door to find that it was closed. As I got into my car to leave, Mike came out the front door to ask what kind of help I needed. I was in tears due to circumstances, apologized and explained. Mike offered condolences and even though they were closed, he told me to pull up and he would check my tires. Mike was so gracious, patient and kind. He properly inflated all 4 tires and said if the warning light returns to come back on Monday. As a family owned business, Fuerst Automotive continues to prove how much it values its customers and cares about the community. Mike is a prime example of that excellence. I don't know of many businesses that would've reached out when closed to help someone during a difficult time. I wish I could give Fuerst 10 stars because they deserve it. Thank you, Mike, for your kindness and help.

Made arrangements to come test drive a 2018 Honda Odyssey. Turns out it's a 2017. Made arrangements to come test drive it... lot is closed and no employees. Show up late, and the van has a range of zero miles worth of gas. Van was in great shape - negotiated a fair deal. Supposed to get alignment done... no such luck. Came in to buy Van, supposed to have paperwork started for a quick transaction, nope. Had to ask them to wash it. Van had a cracked windshield, his brother said fix it and he only offered to split the cost. Then we go radio silent when time comes to get the title. The van was purchased 2/18/2026... multiple texts, FB messages, voicemails... no answer where my title is. Fun fact title got delivered after 14 voicemails and texts. Claimed he didn't have it, but was signed in his office. Delivered on 4/4 with tags expiring on 4/5. For a place that has been around 27 years... it feels more like Mos Eisley spaceport, where "You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. We must be cautious!" Never buy from these clowns... their dealership is a circus, and not reputable. I've seen lemonade stands with better operational management skills.

I took my 17 year old son to find a car in his price range ($2500). The guy greeted me with an annoyed look and reluctantly took me outside to show me some cars. This was only after he ranted about how busy they were with tax refund season in full swing. Apparently, he was tired from showing cars all day. We go outside and he proceeds to tell me how cars are more expensive this week because its tax refund season and the demand is so high. "Any car on this lot will be $800 more next week," he says. Okay, so I've had about enough of him and I just ask him how much they know about the cars before they buy them. "Not a damn thing." Okay, so its an auction... maybe that's reasonable. So I proceed to ask what he knows about the cars by the time they put a price on them and try to sell them... "By that point, we know that they start and will drive. We don't do safety checks, we don't change the fluids. We just mark them up $3-400 and that's it. It is what it is." So unless you are a mechanic, I don't know why you'd buy anything from these guys. I am not--and although I had already started walking to my car to leave, I decided to ask one more question just for fun. Assuming I were to find a car we liked, I asked if he would mind if we took it to my mechanic for an inspection. His response: "We don't normally like to allow that.... these cars are used and they are all going to have one thing wrong or another, you just have to expect that." I said, "But my mechanic is right around the corner at Royal Car Care." "Oh," he says, "Forget it then. Not a single car on this lot would pass their inspection." He said it with such disdain I could tell it was personal. His response to my final question was priceless. I asked "What would their motivation be, rejecting all of your cars?" Having no clue how shady he was, he simply replied, "They are just trying to protect their customers. Go figure.

The buying experience for me was good. Sales rep was personable and the loan application process was efficient. The finance guy wasn't super-aggressive trying to get you to buy things you don't want like tire plans, warranty etc...It' a business and they are going to ask. But a lot of dealers can be super annoying with this and keep pressing you to purchase something extra after you decline the offer. Those are the things that I find detract from the buying experience and process so I found the experience more pleasant than normal. No complaints.

It was a Friday night and they were closing for the weekend, we would have had to cancel our vacation. We decided to trade so we could get on our way but the only car available on the whole lot was a Corolla Cross. Recently we received an invitation to a sales event that was going to blow us away at Victory Toyota, we even had to make an appointment for this event. We walked into Toyota and saw very limited inventory. We looked at two cars and I counted five salesmen standing around in various parts of the showroom. Not one person asked to help. I finally walked up to a young gentleman and asked if there were any Highlanders. He said there were THREE outside ( huge sales event?) and proceeded to walk us out with no keys. Should we just look through the window? Upon going back to get the keys I wanted to test drive the Platnimum. I joked to him that I had planned to retire next year but if we buy a car that is going to change. I told him that I pick out the car and my husband does the numbers deal. He mentioned that when we got back to the showroom he'd see if retirement was still possible after crunching numbers. They did a quick appraisal of our Cross and then crunched NO NUMBERS...the price you see is the price you pay, minus the trade. We bought our last Toyota at zero down , zero finance. This dealership wanted 4.9 %. That is around $10,000 in intrest for the Highlander. . Land Rover is advertising 0.9% for select models. . We will definitely be looking around. . Ten years ago when my husband was looking for a vehicle for work he stopped at a competitor's lot just to see what they had to offer. The salesman was out the door and ready to greet my husband before he even got out of the car.
