I'm going to leave favorable feedback for the Service Department here. I've been in twice over the…read morepast year for basic services; a software update and an oil change. Most recently, though, a thumping noise coming from the rear passenger side of my 2017 Volt was something to worry about. I scheduled an appointment to come see them for the noise and about a block before I got here, the tire went completely flat. This was a tire a different shop had repaired a few months ago, so the patch must not have held. The tire was ruined. I inquired about replacing all four tires, since I didn't like them, but Mark at the service counter advised against it. He inspected the other three tires and said he thought there was too much tread life left and replacing all four tires would be a waste of money. He felt strongly that I should get one new tire and wait until next fall to consider a whole new set of tires. He did note that the car needed an alignment (I had just under 34,000 miles on the car), which seems surprising, but considering one rough Cleveland road I have to drive on to get to the parking garage...maybe not so surprising. He noted that I had a bit of uneven tire wear. When it came time for me to get my car, Mark apologized to me because the tire price he originally quoted was $50 less than the tire that was put on, an OEM Michelin to match what I already had. He made sure to knock off $50 in order to stick to his original quote. I give Mark and Spitzer high marks for their integrity. While their shop prices and services aren't cheap, having trust in where you take your vehicle is worth every penny.

I will never use Spitzer Chevrolet again. Mandy located the part I needed and tried to sell it to…read moreme for $1,100, saying it had to come from Michigan. I later called Tim Lally Chevrolet and found the exact same part for $558. Even though I purchased my own part and brought it to them, I still ended up being charged more than what Mandy originally quoted me if I had gone through Spitzer for the repair. Communication was also terrible throughout the process. I called to speak with Mandy and never received a callback that entire day. Instead, she sent me the quote the next morning (Tuesday, April 28 at 9:45 AM). When I asked if I could bring my own part, I didn't get a response until Friday, May 1 at 2:20 PM. This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had, especially from a dealership.

Carena Motors sold me a structurally unsafe vehicle with failing brakes!…read more We purchased a used Toyota 4Runner from Carena Motors through Cars.com and had it shipped to our home in Tennessee. It was supposed to be a safe first car for our teen. When it arrived, we noticed damage to the hood and clear signs of corrosion that had been patched over on the lower panels. In the online photos, this looked like showroom reflections. We assumed we had missed it and didn't pursue it further. Sadder but wiser. At least it was safe, right? A few months later, the brakes failed without warning! We had to use the emergency brake to stop the vehicle. Thankfully, this happened in a quiet neighborhood and not on the highway or in the mountains, where we had been just days before. We had the car towed to a trusted repair shop. The mechanic explained that the left rear brake failed due to rust corrosion and the right side was about to do the same. While the car was on the lift, the mechanic also found something worse... A structural support beam on the passenger side had been recently welded over! This was not a repair that restored safety. It was a weld that fully covered the original metal underneath and prevented anyone from seeing the frame's true condition. It was so bad the mechanic asked if the vehicle had a salvage title. He said plainly that the vehicle was not safe and explained that the beam could "accordion" in a crash because of the concealed damage. We contacted Tony Carena directly. We sent photos, video, and documentation from the repair shop. After some back and forth, the only suggestion we were given was to sell the car to someone else. After that, all communication stopped. We now own a car we cannot safely drive and cannot ethically sell. The dealership has refused to take responsibility. If you are not a mechanic or are buying from out of state, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. We trusted Carena Motors and ended up with a dangerous vehicle that never should have been sold in this condition.

I am a 18 year old woman (key to story) I bought a car here back around april I believe. AWD Mazda…read more80,000 miles. I should have known better. Before buying I asked the tires to be replaced, two tires were replaced 2 were not, this is a AWD vehicle you cannot do that. Noticed a shaking and let them know the mechanic said he didn't notice anything and it was just from sitting for so long, had it written into the loan because I knew it was shaking and wasn't backing down. Noticed the rotors and breaks were completely rusted and asked if they could fix them (i offered to pay to try and be nice even though this should have been done). They proceeded to "change the breaks and rotors", when I checked the outsides of the rotors were still rusted warranting that the rotors were simply cleaned up and put back on but they insisted they would never do that... Couple weeks go by and a squeaking on the driver side rotor starts driving me nuts. I go to check and there's a groove in my rotor, deep from the scratching noise (something stuck in between brake pad and rotor). I also noticed moisture in the headlight which I didn't think much of. Now my brights won't work and I have to fully replace both headlights, 4 new tires and breaks n rotors as a now 19 year old girl. Not to mention they tried to be nice and buy me a middle counsel because I was stuck deciding between two dealerships (the mazda doesn't have a middle counsel) so they said they'd order it. I picked a cheap one out they didn't order that and instead ordered whatever they wanted and I ended up waiting a month after getting the vehicle to get my "free" middle counsel. Yay a middle counsel and about $1000 later and i'll keep paying my loan but i'll never go back for anything else. My break dust shield also randomly rusted completed off the other day . I may just have bad luck with cars. But I also just don't want confrontation, from reading the reviews, there's no reason to have been treated this way other than I simply didn't bring a man with me and didn't scream at anyone.
