The hunnybunny and I arrived here to take advantage of a Groupon car-cleaning special. The price was very good, and the service was UNBELIEVABLY EXACTING. Seriously, this was a decade-old car that'd made several trips into the dusty desert for Burning Man (among many other long trips) and when we got it back we had to double-check the license plate to be sure we were looking at the same car. They detailed it to pretty much new, inside and out. The wheel wells, the tyres, the interior pleather, all of it shone. Truly special, I tell you. But that's not what reminded me to write this review. Noooooo, what was really special was the free bottled water and hot coffee and massage chairs in the lobby of the Lexus South Pointe building. Well within Toyota's normal maintenance schedule. When we went in, Toyota WEM refused to do the oil change and told us to "come back at 12,000 km." My husband went back June, July, and August, and every single time he came home disappointed because they still refused to perform the oil change we were promised. Their explanation was always the same: "Your car is under warranty, don't worry if it breaks down." Now it's September, our RAV4 is at 14,200 km, and Toyota WEM still refuses to honour the lifetime oil change agreement. We even showed them the paper that says "whichever comes first," and they dismissed it.We considered getting the oil changed elsewhere, but Toyota WEM kept implying our warranty might be affected , which left us feeling stuck and misled. At this point, we regret buying from Toyota WEM. The service has been dismissive, unhelpful, and has caused months of frustration. A dealership should honor its commitments.

They are genuinely not happy until you are. Clear explainations of problems, careful tracking of your vehicle history, friendly and skilled staff, willingness to refer you if someone else could do a job cheaper/faster/better. They are particulary good at recommending the cheapest effective options. Once the solution was to hit a part with a wrench; it worked, and they charged me nothing. On a couple of occasions where repairs were not spot-on, they fixed the problem without hesitation. Case in point: I had a starter that chronically failed over a few years. I only paid for it once, but they replaced it and found the root cause of the problem. You owe it to yourself to check them out.
