I am in my 60's and have purchased a number of cars during my lifetime. My experience at Go-Honda with a used Honda Pilot purchase has been by far THE WORST EVER. Vitto the salesman was extremely condescending and out of touch. I should have walked out right off, but figured it would get better. It didn't. Price promises that were made over the phone were later revoked at the expense of him deleting one of the 2 additional packages I had elected. When I came back a few days later to make the final payment, Rezan, a finance manager testily asked for the bank draft no less than 3 times in the span of 5 minutes. Unfortunately, this dealership is preemptively focused on selling cars and gouging customers in the process. My advice: Run, don't walk away from this dealership. read more

I would give 0 stars if I could. I can't even begin to tell you how horrible my experience has been here at go honda westside Edmonton. I went to them and ask to see what's the problem of my car and unfortunately they said that the problem was not under warranty. My car is 2022 Honda civic Si. 2 years old and only have 50,000 km at the moment said it's not under warranty. When we bought the car sales people will tell you car is under warranty for 5 years or 100,000 km which come first. Now they are telling me my car problem is not under warranty and I should pay $17,000 for repair. I have not been impressed at all and I would not recommend wasting your time and money dealing with these incompetent people. Their communication between departments is non-existent and they will take advantage of you in every way they can think of. No one is ever in charge or willing to take responsibility for mistakes. They just blame it on someone else and send you on your way with issues unresolved. The whole reason I came to honda is because they have been reliable vehicles for my family in past but this beyond excusable. Come on Go Honda, do better. read more

Even the service advisor agreed and promised to look into the problem. Bottom line is that after several discussions with different employees is that nothing else would be done with my vehicle. Rear tires on new CR-V FWD wore out in only 20,000 K. Had to replace at Honda Dealer in Arizona. They found serious alignment problem was cause. Took Arizona Dealer's alignment report and pictures of tires to Go Honda. They would not even discuss. I recently purchased a car from Go Honda that had a clean CARFAX and AMVIC report. After owning the car less than two weeks, an autobody technician informed me that there is extensive hail damage covering the hood, roof, and door panels. This damage was not disclosed to me by Go Honda. I'll briefly share the terrible experiences I encountered with this sad excuse for a dealership. After hearing about the damage, I brought it to the attention of the salesman who sold me the car. He immediately blamed me for not noticing the damage and said there was nothing that the dealership would do to help me. He promised to have a sales manager call me. No manager ever contacted me so I then went to Go Honda to meet with a someone. While at the dealership, I was once again told that the entire situation was my fault. I do not understand how a car dealership, which presumably employs trained and skilled individuals, can conduct multiple inspections and not notice multiple dents all over the vehicle. This leads me to draw the conclusion that: either someone noticed the damage and chose not to say anything or the dealership does not have adequately trained and skilled employees. Both options demonstrate a lack of ability on behalf of the dealership and its employees. I was then insulted by the sales manager as he offered to buy back my vehicle for $6300 (I paid $13,907 + GST two weeks before). The offer was patronizing and ridiculous. I was then offered a couple free oil changes as compensation. To think that an oil change would make up for the fact that the dealership lied and deceived me by knowingly selling a heavily damaged car is inconceivable. I returned to the dealership the next week and dealt with yet another incompetent sales manager. Once again, he blamed the entire situation on me. I acknowledged that perhaps I should have noticed the damage but I had (mistakenly) put my faith and trust in the the dealership's ability and willingness to sell me a quality vehicle that had been inspected numerous times by their qualified professionals. The manager offered a $300 gift card (which can only be used at Go Auto dealerships) as compensation. Apparently Go Honda views $300 as fair compensation for thousands of dollars in damages that were withheld from me. To nickel and dime customers who pay thousands of dollars for a vehicle that they believe has been presented honestly by the salesperson says a lot about the business practices of this company. At this point, I would be unwilling to recommend Go Honda - or Go Auto in general - to even my worst enemy. No one should be have to endure what I had to with this sad excuse for a car dealership. Throughout this experience I have learned some valuable lessons: be much more careful when purchasing a vehicle, never trust a used car salesman, and avoid Go Honda like the Oilers avoid the playoffs. I hope others can learn from my mistake without having the financial burden I am now forced to bear. read more

Really disappointed. I arrived in at 9:08 AM. Entrance gates were closed. I had to manage and get inside. I was asked to drive my car inside. One man didn't even greet but said "use a mask" Service rep. tells me that they will do the "recommended" service and I told her I just needed the service that was required. I even told her about the same GoHonda changing the oil at 6 months in my new car. I also told her that I read in the manual that the first oil change is after 12 months. She tried to impose me to get the "recommended service" and I said "no, I only want the required service" She got upset and told me I had to wait until 1 or 2 pm. Well never thought I would be leaving a negative post for Go Honda, but after 4 vehicle purchases, they have changed, and not the same company as before. They now use bait and switch tactics as well as misleading information regarding trade in vehicles. In particular they offer an online tool for trade valuation, however, when it actually comes to the negotiating, they state the tool they offer isn't really a true reflection of the trade value. in fact they were more then $7000 lower than their online calculator. I went to this dealer but they asked for a deposit when I was undecided. I told them that we are not going to continue with the purchase, managers, finance to sales are threatening me, i was told that they are going to deliver the car eventhough I do not want it. I threatened and called lawyer, Customer board, and Amvic...this manager was a fraud trying to give me another car althought I told them that I do not want to deal or do business with them. Good thing, I asked this car consultant or legal consultant about my situation, i was relieved and block all their numbers. I have 2016 Pilot, purchased from Go Honda. I bought life-time engine warranty at the time of purchase. The car merely 60K on the odometer, message on the dash popped up " emission system problem". I called GO honda service, they replaced my fuel injector costing me aprox 2000 $. They denied my insurance claim. So life time engine warranty by Honda is a joke. And never buy a Pilot. read more

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DEALER AND AVOID KEN THE SALESMAN. Came in to look at a used 2017 crv and somehow I came out with a test drive crv. Anyway... I didn't like the used crv. It was in bad condition so I told the salesman I wanted see a brand new ex-l, but they don't have the color that I wanted. So he said they have a test drive unit in that color with around 3k-4k KM if im interested. He gave me a deal, I agreed, but I told him I wanted to see the vehicle first before doing anything. However he told me the car is not available at the moment. It was loaned to a custumer and they will try to get it back ASAP. In the mean time he said to do financing first. I hesitated but somehow agreed. He assured me that the vehicle is in good condition and will be here the next day for me to see. Stupid me signed financing agreements. Next day I came back and he said the vehicle is at the airport, the VP has it. WTF...how?? A customer is buying it why the VP has it? Something is fishy here...I should of back out. He kept asking me to give him 5 stars review. I said how can I give you 5 stars if haven't seen the vehicle yet? I called him next day and said the vehicle is here and ready for me to pick up. So I told him to make sure all maintenance are up to date including oil change. When I got there the vehicle looks good except for a small chip on the windshield and the mileage is over 5k KM. I told him its too high, he said that he told me it has 4k-5k KM not 3-4k. So they gave me $350 go card money. Drove the crv home and next day I check oil to see if they actually changed. It was black!! I mention this to him and he said to bring in for a free oil change. At this point I was pretty frustrated but not much that I could do since i already own the vehicle. I also found out the actual mileage(6900 KM) minus 200-300 KM that I put on. I had mistaken the Trip odometer with actual one. Few days later I went to the dealer to confront the salesman about the mileage and he said that when I came to pick up the car he showed me the vehicle has over 6000 Km. He lies again about the mileage. He never showed me the actual mileage. If I knew it has over 6000 km i wouldn't have taken the vehicle. Then I talk to the sales manager Laurentiu Bordianu, he said why didn't bring the vehicle back sooner. I told him I just foud out that day. He's accusing me of putting on thousands of KM because its been a week since i bought it. He said that he'll give me 2 free oil changes and 2 fill up on gas. LOL...so I purposely drove around or went on a road trip to put thousands of KM just so I could get $300 from you?? I declined his offer. One more thing.. the go card money that they promised me has nothing in it. I checked the balance when i got the oil change. So I confronted the salesman again about this he said that it takes time. Time for what?? You just load the damn thing with funds. Not even one apology. I can't take any more of this guys dishonesty. He didn't even bother to put any funds in there. Well ..i finally got it. This dealership exceeded my expectations this week when performing a regular maintenance visit on my Honda Pilot. The prices was more than fair and they also found and fixed a noise problem with my tailgate for no extra cost. They also washed my car and had it ready in under a day. I was able to pick up my car 6 hours later at just after 2 pm. This was one of many exceptional visits to Go Honda, I highly recommend their service department for your vehicle. Always a fair price and excellent service managers to describe your cars repair options with no pressure for upsell. Just good old fashioned service and with a smile. read more

First, while buying the vehicle, I asked to order a cover for the car, paid the money in full. Two weeks later, I went back to ask about it, it was not even ordered because the sales did not notify the parts department, they forgot. Ok, human mistakes happen. Three days before, I had a big problem with the car and I had to take it to the service department. I could not drive it to work. The car stopped accelerating, you can imagine the situation on a Highway with such a problem. The shaking and the noise are unbearable and a burning smell is constantly produced when the engine starts. This car definitely has major mechanical problems. I went back to the dealership asking for a replacement according to the Go Honda policy when there is a major mechanical problem with a car, they said no, they will fix it, and they said it is not a major issue. So I have to die and the engine explodes to escalate the situation to a "Major mechanical issue". The problem is within the engine cylinder misfiring, with such a problem in an almost brand new car, the situation will come over again and again and I bought a Honda with low KM to make my self hassle-free, which turned out to be a very wrong decision. read more

We bought a new Honda CRV Touring 2020 from Go Honda, Edmonton. After initial price negotiation, the finance rep Khadejah Dabaja added extended warranties mischievously. Recently the car had some scratches. The paint warranty was supposed to cover the damage. However, upon claim for repair under warranty, the Go Honda team declined the claim citing certain conditions that were never shared, discussed or given in writing at the time of signing the warranty. With the help of General Manager Gracelynne Dien, the subject warranty was cancelled. But afterwards, Khadejah and her Finance Manager Ileana Gusa kept on lingering and and providing false statements to us and their management. Eventually after six weeks follow-up, with the intervention of Grace Dien, the issue came to a closure. Therefore be aware of Go Honda Finance Team's unethical tactics while finalizing the deal. read more

I bought my car from Yellowhead Honda, which moved down the street and is now the huge, luxury dealership Pointe West. I had nothing but great service at the old location, amazing in fact. When I booked in for service it was fast, friendly and efficient. A few days ago I had to have my car towed into the dealership. I called them before going, in the early morning, they said to come in, I also called from the tow truck to let them know I was en-route. When I arrived I was told it would be 2 hours, no problem, I found the upper lounge and started to work. I totally understand that things don't always run on time, so 2.5hrs later, I just wandered down and asked how much longer. Now, this is where things went very bad... I was told 10minutes, ok, I then sit back down. 20minuites later I ask one of the 3 people that you pay, if I can pay. They tell me they can not take my payment, (although it's their job to) that one of the concierge that handle you when you initially come in has to organize the payment process, then these 3 can take it. WHAT THE??! So, this dealership has 3 people that their only job in life is to sit and run a credit card through a machine; they can't even get the payment amount or help in any way, Wow, ok that is nuts! Especially when we are sitting at 3 and a half hours later. That aside, I was just so mad because I don't care how long it takes, just tell me. I could have arranged for a ride and got my car the next day... Considering that Pointe West is next to CTV where I know, oh well everyone! As well as half the Astral Radio staff. I could have just walked over and saved myself a lot of time and stress. So Pointe West Honda, please teach your staff to just over judge in time, not tell people 10min's, oh 15 more, just another 10min's.... Because that makes people want to loose their minds! And if you are going to have a cafe with a full menu and food sitting out have someone working at it. I was starving and that is just a big C!@K tease. read more

I have had good service here as far as oil changes and light maintenance go, but I have now had to learn the hard way that simply because you are taking your car to a garage that is an official Honda garage, it does not guarantee good, competent or even fair service when it comes to a serious update, like a new Timing Belt. My car is an import from the U.S. -- I bought it there and brought it back to Canada. While in Milwaukee, Wisconsin I had the car serviced at an official Honda dealership, and the mechanic stripped a bolt for the water pump. The mech did not tell me and sealed the pump with silicon instead of properly repairing the strip. So when the time came for a new Timing Belt, I took my car to this Go Honda (formerly Pointe West) with the notion, "surely an official Honda garage is my best option!" WRONG They screwed up in Milwaukee, and they screwed up here. (Caveat: here in Edmonton they did fix the water pump strip) While putting the car back together, the mech stripped a motor mount bolt. In the mech's words, "the thread pulled out" -- in other words, "I stripped it". The mount needs to be replaced, the repair costs hundreds of dollars. After calling several times to discuss the repair, after 3 days, the super calls me and tells me that the best they can do is 30% off the repair cost. And this is after a long, antagonistic (from the super's end) argument with the supervisor. It should be free. Google keywords: Honda Civic motor stripped bolts -- obviously there was a problem with either the quality of the bolts that Honda uses, or the torque spec is WAY off. I'm guessing it is the former. Either way, this is Honda's problem, not mine, and as an official Honda garage, the repair should be free. Go Honda should suck it up and absorb the cost. But frankly, after what I've been through, that probably won't be enough to rebuild my trust in Honda garages. read more

I went to the Go Auto counter at the Edmonton Motor Show at the Northlands Expo Centre on April 12, 2014. I want to buy a used car in a few months time and had some questions. I asked how Go Auto worked. I was told by a young woman that the company was owned by two men who had several dealerships all over Edmonton and that they sold vehicles from different carmakers such as Honda, Ford etc. I got brochures, inquired about pricing and commissions, and the website, etc. The woman who spoke with me was courteous and helpful. She mentioned there was a contest to win cars through Go Auto and I was directed to another Go Auto counter. I went there and was told I could fill out a ballot and, from the two or three dozen Go Auto cars on the floor, I could write on the ballot the one I wanted. If Iw on, I would get that vehicle. I asked for the contest rules but a woman said she did not have them. Hmmm..... To makes things a little confusing, there was another contest - 30 cars in 30 days. But that was a contest outside of the Motorshow. In that contest, a person who bought a car would enter a contest to win back the amount paid for his/her car. And, there was yet another contest where you could enter to win a $1,000 discount off the price of a vehicle purchase. For the first contest, I went to look at the cars on the floor and was approached by a salesman. He asked me if the car I was looking at was the one I wanted. I said 'Yes" but he told me a different story. He said that actually all the Go Auto cars on the floor were for sale. WHAT?! I went back to the Go Auto counter and was told by the same lady who gave me the ballot that what I was told was true. If someone bought the car I wanted to win, Go Auto would SUBSTITUTE something else. I thought to myself that maybe the substitution would be a Pinto or a Lada! I got an uncomfortable feeling about the whole "contest." I returned all the Go Auto brochures and ballots and told them that they had lost me as a customer -- and about 100 other customers but the time I finished telling everyone about the bad experience. I was in the market for a used car under 10K and was directed by another Go Auto dealer to come here as they had quite a variety of cars in my price range. I was buying a car that day and was going to pay cash. When I got to the used car department I went right into the building. I was looking for a sales person to show me a few specific vehicle. Not a single person come to talk to me. I then went outside to look around the lot to see if I could find what I was looking for. I walked around for 10-15 minutes and still no one came to talk to me. I thought obviously they don't need the business and I left. I did buy a car that day elsewhere. read more

Was very attentive and diligent up until I bought my vehicle from them. Since then I have not heard back from them and I have called and emailed about my warranty. Last time I tried calling the receptionist told me to call back another time as the lines were all busy. I've visited other Honda dealerships and they were no good either- so I won't be purchasing another Honda after this vehicle and would not recommend. Update: after the 4th time I brought my car in go get cleaned and get the scratches buffed out, they did an average job. But least they finally did it. I also needed to buy new windshield wipers for my car within the first week because they didn't bother to put new windshield wipers on the car I just bought from them and told me it would be extra. They also sold the car to me with 25% oil life remaining. I was told by the salesman to buy used from them because they fix them up to be like brand new... definitely a lie. read more

Had some service work done on my US-import Pilot... the service component went pretty well (they gave it to me w/a low oil pressure indicator on which I noticed 5 min down the road, turn around and ultimately it gets cleared, there was no problem but the return issue was a hassle)... the reason the rating is as high as it is was the shuttle service/customer service - I got there late in the day, needed a ride home, and so one of them (Lindsay?) gives me a ride even though it's gonna go past closing time and sounds like she was pretty busy anyway - I appreciated that. read more
