In my opinion, I would avoid St. Albert Honda like the plague. I would give them 0 stars if I could. Notice they only have 3.2 stars out of 5 with only 14 reviews. They should have hundreds of reviews, but their rating got so bad they had to start from scratch again. Bought a car from them 4.5 years ago, absolute nightmare, had a deal with the salesman to buy a brand-new Insight for $30,000 plus the 6.7% interest only. The shady finance department butchered the first contract up so bad, they had me owing over $48,000. After revisions, they then, conveniently forgot to change the bi-weekly payment from $267 bi-weekly to roughly $225 bi-weekly. I pointed it out to the girl in finance, and she said, "it's been already sent off to the bank, but ensured me that with the larger payments, the term would therefore shorten from 7 years to roughly 5.5". It made sense to me, so I believed her. OK, in retrospect, believing her after trying to overcharge me the first time, wasn't smart. But never thought a large auto maker like that would try to screw someone over a second time after being caught the first time. But hats off to St. Albert Honda, because they pulled it off. It's kind of like being warned by a referee for bumping into the other teams goalie, nodding in agreement with the ref, then punching the goalie in the head the minute the refs back is turned. Long story slightly shorter, I still have $11,400 still owing on a $30,000 car loan after paying $267 bi-weekly for 4.5 years of a supposed 5.5 year term. No matter how many auto loan calculators I used, including Honda's, I should only have roughly $6500 owing. This particular bank no longer deals with St. Albert Honda, and I can see why. Run the other waaaaaaay, unless you have an extra $5000 to spare!!!!!! read more

Great experience during the purchase of a new Honda Ridgeline. Bob was very knowledgeable. No high pressure sales tactics and was helpful in securing a good price. He was very respectful as I asked a number of questions. Being a female we expect that men at car dealerships can be very condescending but not Bob. He answered all of my questions, and was happy to bring vehicles near the showroom so we could observe all of the possible options. Went in to test drive a used Dodge Dakota listed on their website and told them I was only interested in small trucks. I also was upfront about my vehicle's condition and sent pictures of some damage to find out if it was with my time to come in. I was told that it was likely something could be worked out to "get me into the Dakota I wanted" When I got to the dealership I was then told that the truck I was wanting needed a new engine and they couldn't sell it to me. The truck is still up on their website for the same price a week later. I was told the damage on my vehicle was actually better then they expected. I was taken to test drive a truck that was far larger than I had told them I wanted and when I drove it the engine was loud and I suspected had a transmission issue. I then test drove a smaller truck but again the engine was very loud which the salesman said was because it had "large tires" My vehicle was then severely undervalued and I was offered payments that were completely out of my price range. To be fair I owe quite a bit on my vehicle so I don't really begrudge them for that but I feel my time was wasted in coming in for a vehicle that I was told could not be sold to me. When I pay down my car loan more I will not be shopping here for a new vehicle read more

Formerly Frontier Honda, which I gave a not so great review of, St. Albert Honda is striving for customer excellence. The sales department recently helped us place the best price on our 2012 CRV to sell privately. It sold quickly and we were impressed that they helped us, rather than suggesting we trade it in and they give us a "fair" price. They have more room for service, so it seems to be improving. The ladies at the sales desk are always smiling and helpful. Although I cannot drive anymore, my family still uses St. Albert Honda for service of their vehicles. read more

ST. ALBERTA HONDA IS NOW A GO AUTO HONDA!! It has changed hands! On June 27, 2019 we made an appointment for July 4, 2019 to have a service done and to take care of a recall on our sliding doors on our 2018 Honda Odyssey! This is where we bought our Honda, so we had no problem driving the 2 and 1/2 hours from our home to get this recall taken care of! We were told a car would be available for us to use for the 4 hours the appointment would take! Well, today, July 4, 2019, my husband and I drove the 2 and 1/2 hours to St. Alberta to find out that Go Auto had taken over this dealership. They would do the service and recall but they certainly were not supplying a car for us to use! One week from making the appointment to standing in the dealership, and everything was different! No one bothered to notify us that a car would not be available, or that Go Auto had taken over and would not honor the appointments as it was arranged! This dealership is not close to anything and I am disabled and walk with a cane so walking anywhere was out of the question and sitting for 4 hours in the dealership was unacceptable! We left and will never go back! I have dealt with two other Go Auto Honda dealerships, 1 in Red Deer and 1 in Edmonton and neither represent Honda as they should, which is why I had chosen to go back to St Albert Honda! I only have experience dealing with the service and parts department at this dealership. I bought my ridgeline at another dealership but do service work at this location. The staff are all extremely helpful, polite, and knowledgeable. At around 140,000km they completed a full service for around $900 while another honda dealership quoted me around $3,700. They are very efficient and keep in contact with you to explain anything they find regarding your vehicle. They also provide courtesy cars which is a huge bonus! I feel confident bringing my truck here for service. read more

Had a great experience buying my 2017 Ridgeline Black Edition. Great staff who know their stuff and really seem to have your best interests in mind. They worked to make a deal that made sense with no pressure. Totally different atmosphere than the City dealer's, not only did they beat their price by a long shot, they didn't make you feel like you were being screwed. If I could give this place less than one star i would. I will never purchase another vehicle from this location. I dealt with a finance manager named Cindy Yang, who clearly took advantage of the fact that this was my first time buying a car from a dealership. I had decided on a car and also decded to purchase the pricy extended warranty. After sleeping on it for a night I decided that i did not want the extended warranty. I went in the next day assuming they had a 24 hour policy on cancelling warranty to which all of the staff told me that it would be no problem but that i had to speak to Cindy on Monday because she was not in, again they reassured me it would be no problem I just needed to talk to Cindy. So for the third time i went to the dealership where Cindy told me that there was nothing she could do, that the warranty is not refundable, and that the bank wouldnt reverse it because it was too much work. I brought up the fact that she traded in a car that was not even under my name which i later found out is illegal, still she inssited that it was not possible. I still didnt have the keys and the car hasnt even left the lot yet because they had no started maintence on the car which caused me to pick up my car days later than the original date they told me. Before I left, for confirmation, I asked cindy one last time if there was any possible way for me to cancel my warranty to which she said no. I returned defeated on Tuesday to pick up my new car to which they still told me I could not cancel the warranty. A few days later out of curiosity i called my bank and told them my situation to which they told me it would be no problem to cancel my warranty as it has a 10 day cancellation polciy. The only issue is that i need to go in to the dealership where i purchased my car and talk to the finance manager that helped me. The bank would stunned that they had lied to me and scammed me out of 4000$ because Cindy was clearly making commission on it. At this point it was day 8 of my extended warranty cancelation. I drove back early from my vacation to the dealership to let them know that in section 8 of my contract that the bank made me aware of, it clearly stated that I am able to received a full refund for my decision change. I walked in and asked to speak to the head finance director and told her that in my contract it clearly states the cancellation policy to which she cancelled the extended warranty with no issues or arguments. They had clearly realized they got caught in a lie and cancelled and returned my money. Although it seems like a happy ending the stress and frustration that dealing with this caused, as well as the fact that if i had not called the bank they would have gotten away with it was enough to make me want to never return. I hope that anybody looking to purchase from st. albert honda to look else where or seriously reconsider your decision. Cindy lied to my face and gave me false information which is so unprofessional. Worst experience with ever purchasing a vehicle and disgusted with the treatment the staff provided me with!! read more

The staff was so friendly, the price was fair, and I got a full hour's worth of introduction to my new vehicle before I drove it off the lot!
