In the near 40 years I've lived in Salt Lake and Lehi I have never found a shop that takes cares of their customers like these guys did for me. Courtney specifically. I went in after having $800 of repairs done to my brakes because I was still hearing a squeal. I went to Big O for the work originally and had to go back no less than 15 times, which is absolutely insane. They changed my pads and rotors a total of 3 times and the noise was still there. I was told multiple times that my hub assembly was the cause and I paid Autobahn to fix this only because Big O assured me this was the issue and Autobahn beat their cost by nearly $200. So I did it. The squealing was still there and obviously I wasn't happy. But Courtney said to let her keep the car a while longer and she would figure it out. She was finally able to fix the problem by changing the pads once more... something Big O claimed to have done 3 times but now I'm not really sure they ever did. Courtney went above and beyond and spoke to the Big O and even got them to cover the additional repairs. I no longer live close to the shop but I'll be making the 30 mile drive to have her handle everything I need from here on out. read more

My Land Rover had a small coolant leak but required me to put coolant into the reservoir every few weeks. I brought it to a place in Lindon and received a quote of 1400 plus tax. I took it to Autobahn for a second look and got a quote of 800 plus tax. The repairs were completed to perfection and I have taken a few long trips and have had no problems. My daughter took her Santa Fe into this shop because it began stalling at idle. This company diagnosed the problem as old spark plugs and replaced them along with the spark plug wires. They replaced the thermostat and topped off the coolant and charged me $700! It is a ridiculous charge for a simple fix. The manager, Courtney explained that the charge was reasonable because the plugs were in a challenging location. If you are looking a mechanic you can trust look elsewhere. read more

Attention TDI owners -- Every time I try to give these guys a chance, something else disappoints. Historically, they have been trustworthy and competent with TDI repairs, but the last time I was in there will remain the last time. Ever since Gary stopped turning wrench, the quality has gone downhill. I knew that I could trust him to do it right and by the book. But the latest treatment is a clear sign that they cut corners just like every other shop in Utah county. I took my beloved TDI in for its due timing belt service. Months later, to my horror, I found that they replaced the pink G12 coolant with ORANGE Dexcool. It really makes one wonder what kind of parts and fluids they're using otherwise, presumably Chinese garbage. What kind of water pumps? What brand of rollers? I'm going to have to drain the coolant and flush out their dexcool garbage and replace it with G12, like VW specifies. I'm going to have to tear into the timing belt area and see if I can figure out what brand the water pump is. While I'm at it, I'll probably just replace everything again so I know it's done right. Gary, if you're reading this, you've hurt a loyal TDI customer. You've allowed your mechanics to perform the same poor work that I can get anywhere else in the area. I'm afraid I'm going to have to pull my recommendation and remove you from the trust list on the TDI forums. Very, very sad. read more

These guys are really the best mechanics in Utah County. I first had them inspect a used 1997 Jetta that I ended up buying back in 2003 and have used them ever since. I've had an Audi A6, a couple Xterras, an Acadia and a few Ram Trucks and they've maintained and worked on all of them perfectly. I now drive a new Ram 1500 and a new GMC Yukon XL and still have them do all of my maintenance. I absolutely recommend these guys. read more

I was placed on Hold for 10 mins regarding a simple availability for an appointment, after being frustrated and calling back and the phone was answered I was ungreated and placed back on Hold. Shop was fully aware of my appointment and Refused to set up a time with me. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Your service does not matter to this Shop. read more

Scheduled maintenance has been far better than dealer maintenance ever was, and their knowledge of the specifics of my vehicle has been manifest repeatedly. Steer clear of this place. They worked on my son's Jeep Wrangler TJ. After charging quite a bit for what was essentially replacing an exhaust manifold gasket, it still didn't work right. He took it back and they said it was the computer, but they had to outsource that repair. They took weeks and charged too much for not accomplishing much of anything. read more

I used to really like Autobahn. We took our Honda Civic in for some routine maintenance--car is old but ran like a dream. We had them replace the timing belt. We had the engine seize up over and over after that. They said fuses, which we paid one time to have replaced, but then when it happened again, I called and told them our car had never had a problem until we brought it to them. The owner went over the car with the mechanic and got it working again--no charge. The car still doesn't sound right and vibrates when it idles, though. I am so frustrated that a car that was in beautiful condition before is no longer. read more

I've had success with Autobahn in the past few years. I think they must have hired some bad mechanics recently. I took my daughters car in to have the radiator replaced along with a cv joint. When the mechanic pulled the old radiator he busted the clips for the main wiring harness and didn't put it back. As a result, the harness fell onto the exhaust manifold and melted. As a result, several fuses blew out. I took it back in and he argued that it wasn't his fault. They did fix it for no charge, but now the brights won't come on and the horn no longer works. I called them to report these issues and again they took defensive position saying those items were probably not working before we brought the car into their shop. I'm tired of dealing with them and will just fix it myself. read more

I use these guys all the time for my Toyota Tundra, Nissan Quest, and Toyota Corolla. I do oil changes and fixes there. Not always super fast, but they get the work done right and I don't feel like I am getting ripped off on prices. They do what needs to be done and don't try to sell you on extras. read more

I too had success with Autobahn the last few years. however, I called them recently to ask if they had time for certain services, the girl who answered told me i should be able to get in within a reasonable time. I drove in and suddenly she tells me it will be at least 2 hours. DON'T WASTE PEOPLE'S TIME! they have have a bunch of new people now because this place SUCKS!
