This is one of those "I created an account to write this because that's how awesome these guys are" posts. I purchased my used 2002 Passat a little under 2 years ago and have had problems with it ever since. It seems like my car was in the shop every 6 months or so for seemingly the same issue. After spending thousands of dollars over the years trying to get it fixed, I decided to take it to Auto Tech. Luiz immediately identified the issue as a leak in both of my flex pipes and a problem with all four of my oxygen sensors. After quoting me roughly $2,000 for the parts, Luiz suggested that it was foolish for me to replace the flex pipes when I could just take it to Midas to have them weld a patch on them for a third of the cost (Mienecke did it for $450). Additionally, Luiz said that he would not replace the oxygen sensors until after the weld was complete because the leak could be causing the oxygen sensors to seem like they need replacing. Luiz was knowledgeable, reasonably priced, and (most importantly) honest. I will certainly be bringing my car back to Auto Tech in the future. -As a side note, Luiz did not charge me for the diagnostics or for the coolant he put in my car when he noticed that it was low. I was wondering why this place has such good reviews on Yelp. Now I get it. I had coolant slowly leaking from my jeep, and Auto Tech Service took my vehicle in, diagnosed the problem as a faulty radiator cap, and repaired it at cost. And the re-attached my front license plate, which had recently been knocked off and was just sitting in my back seat, just because. I was in and out the same day, they were extremely professional and courteous, and I wound up paying probably 10 times less than I expected. These guys are awesome. read more

Miguel is great. My husband and I both take our cars to Miguel and have done so for both minor and major issues. A few months ago he completed a major repair on my coolant system, and a few weeks later, I started having issues with it again. When I took it back to him, he explained that it was possible the new issues were caused by the repair (because they could have jossled the tubes in the repair), so they repaired the new issue for free. I was told by Midas that I needed my master cylinder cap replaced and it would cost $50. I wanted a second opinion so I took my car into Auto Tech and spoke to Miguel. He popped open the hood right there and my cap was on and just fine. Then he noticed that one of my tire's valve cap was missing so he put one on for me. And he didn't want any money, but I insisted on at least giving him a tip. I will absolutely be returning for all my car needs. Easy, fast and great customer service. read more

Always friendly and honest. Taken my car here several times. One time they couldn't find the problem and didn't charge me anything, but I have them $20 for their troubles. Just recently took it in and they were able to get the part they replaced 16 months ago, covered under the one year part warranty and didn't charge me anything....they didn't have to go this extra mile at all and could have said oh well! read more

There are few things I hate more than dealing with car repairs, especially as a woman in a new city. A few months ago, my car started stalling and I brought it to a shop on the recommendation of a friend. I was given a very long-winded (BS) spiel about all of the things that probably needed to be fixed for "only" $1200 (btw- this is a 2003 Jetta). I had them fix the "most essential" thing for $250 and took my car back quickly. Based on all of the great Yelp Reviews, I then took it to Auto Tech Service (since it was still stalling). I can't say enough good things. I just felt like they weren't trying to scam me which was so refreshing. They told me I had to get one part fixed for ~$250 and everything else could wait. I decided to try one more time before giving up and selling the car. The car has been running for 4 months now with no problems at all. I've taken it back once since for a routine repair and again had a very simple, honest experience. No fuss. I highly recommend it. read more

This garage provided the most efficient service I have encountered. Despite not having an appointment, they were able to get my car in, get the issue (nail in a deflating tire) fixed, and get me out the door in less than twenty minutes. This was such a wonderful experience, which is not usually what it feels like when your car stops working, so I was very pleasantly surprised. My car wouldn't even start, so they towed my car to the shop. The repairs were done the same day, and the cost was very reasonable! In addition, the staff was friendly and responsive. Great service and friendly guys! My check engine light kept lighting up also. Brought it to a few other places where they could not find anything. Auto Tech tried some different treatments to flush my engine, and no more problems with the light. They gave me good advice to avoid this in the future. Oh, did I mention at no charge for any of this? I need new tires for my car now, and I'll be going back to this place. They have always been so helpful. I trust them after working with two dealerships trying to rip me off every time I walked in. read more

I have gone to these guys for repairs for years now, after originally seeing their great Yelp reviews. They never disappoint! Last summer I brought my car to them (it was making a noise that I thought might signal the end of its life!), and was relieved to hear that only minor repairs were needed. Last week it started making those same noises, so I took it back in. They checked it out, said that it turns out that one of the parts they used last year was defective, and they replaced and repaired it free of charge (it was still under the one-year warranty). This place is amazing! We had driven 1,000 miles to DC and our Sienna started making a noise. We looked for a place online and saw all of their glowing reviews. They could have stuck it to us--we were from out of town and clearly in need. Instead, they got us in immediately, called us back (we had started walking back to our hotel) within 5 minutes, and had already found and fixed a relatively minor problem. These guys were amazing! Friendly, fast, honest and by far the lowest price for quality work! I called about break issues and they took my Jeep immediately. They called before I even got home and told me the major work I needed. I was apprehensive as it was clearly going to be a major overhaul. Then came the price. WOW! Total cost with parts and labor was about 1/2 of what the dealership wanted for parts alone! Same day service and I couldn't be happier. When I explained that I was planning to trade my Jeep in soon, they said that they had planned to put in top notch equipment but could just make a basic repair for even less money. Honesty is something you rarely encounter in this service and they certainly didn't have to give me this option--I would have never known. I will recommend ATS always and will be a loyal customer as long as I have a car. read more

They definitelly came through for me. Their estimate and assesment was right on the spot (and I knew what it was beforehand). The repair was timely and the communication was frequent. Great place. I was able to drop my SUV on the spot with no appointment and it only took 30-40 minutes. I had a flat tire. Price was very reasonable. They also fixed my spare tire wire which got all twisted in the process of putting on the spare, for free! I'll definitely be using them for future repairs. Great find! read more

I second what everyone else has written on this page. I went to this place to get my radiator fixed as a result of all the positive reviews I found here and was not disappointed. They quoted me the cheapest price of any place in town and met it, and the work was quality and quick. Not sure what else you can ask for! read more

I am very disappointed with this place. I read most of reviews o Yelp and decide to go here, what a mistake. Namely, headlight on my vehicle stop to work, and after I call dealership and find out that I have to pay 120$ just for changing bulb, I give call to this guys. I explain what car I drive and what issue is. They told me that they will charge me just 22-23$ for labor and plus costs of the bulb (you can buy the bulb online for less than 10$). Also, I requested engine check which costs 90$. Tomorrow I dropped the car. After couple of hours this guys call me and tell me that my bill is 179$ and that I can come to take a car. But, 10 minutes after that they call again and tell me that something is wrong with their computer???? , and bill is not 179$, it is now 300$!!! On the bill - price of the bulb is 44,9$ and labor for changing bulb is 160$, total of 204,9$ for changing f.....bulb! read more

My "check engine" light came on a few days ago. Then, this morning, it no longer came on. I still decided to take it in to Auto Tech, just to check it out, because I'm going on a trip tomorrow. As I pulled up (just before 8am), Luis met me in the office. I told him the issue, he grabbed some contraption, walked to my car and started checking things out. After about 5 minutes, he said he couldn't really find a problem, but mentioned something about regular gas, a build-up, and "cleaning" the system with a fill-up of premium gas every so often. I was driving away 5-7 minutes after I arrived--feeling better about the car and appreciative for such wonderful/quick service (at NO cost). I'll definitely be back for any future car issues. I rarely write reviews. Actually, this might be the first I've written, but the exceptional service provided by this team warrants one. The turn around on my car was faster and less expensive than quoted, they were friendly and professional, and they even fixed a couple minor issues without charging me for it. When my car wouldn't start, I called AAA to see if they could help. AAA came , tested my battery and concluded that it was not the battery, that it must be another issue, possibly the starter. I towed my car to Auto Tech Services after a friend had recommended them to me because he had been going there for years. In my mind, I was already thinking the worst, that I was going to be spending hundreds to get my car fixed. After the guys at ATS examined my car, they said it was nothing more than the battery. They tried to save me money by suggesting that I call the dealer to double check to see if the battery was still under warranty. Unfortunately, it wasn't so they ended up putting in a new battery. The guys could have easily said that the problem was my starter or something worse, but they were so honest telling me that it was only the battery, which AAA tested. I was really impressed when they tried to save me money by having me check to see if my battery was still under warranty. Would definitely go back! read more
