Recently, I faced a situation where one of my tires went flat after hitting a curb, and another tire had a slow leak due to a nail. The team at Mac's efficiently repaired both tires, getting me back on the road promptly. I cannot speak highly enough of Mac's when it comes to handling any tire-related problems--they truly have an exceptional crew!

At first I…read morewas able to put air in the tire and it would last for around 3-4 days but now it was only good for hours before my tire would go flat. To make matters worse all four of these tires are basically new and less than 30 days old! Anyway, this whole thing was driving me nuts, so I started shopping around for a place. I remembered this local place that allowed you to drive up for on-the-spot repair and they work on your tire(s) while you wait in your car, so I decided to give them a try and I'm really glad I did. When I arrived there were a couple of cars ahead of me, which wasn't a big deal since this place is similar to a drive-thru you allowing you to conveniently wait your turn in your car. They work pretty quickly here and before I knew it I'm pulling forward to get my tire looked at. The mechanic was friendly, respectful, and took the time to listen to what was going on with my tire. He quickly got the tire off, diagnosed the problem, and explained what needed to be done in plain language. The problem was with the valve stem, which had a leak. The mechanic got right to work making the repair and explaining to me what he was doing. The work was done efficiently and correctly, and he made sure everything was explained to my satisfaction. There was no pressure, no upselling, and no runaround; just honest work and solid service. Oh, and the cost of this repair was less than 25 bucks! I couldn't believe I received this much service and such great work at this price point. What makes this place stand out to me is the customer service from all of the staff, but in particular the mechanics themselves that are actually working on your car. Usually, the people working on your car are hidden in a garage somewhere while you wait in a waiting room, so you never actually meet the mechanic working on your car. At Mac's you are up close and personal to the mechanic. That's a huge plus in my book. You can tell this is a local business that actually cares about its reputation and all of the customers coming there. It's the kind of shop where they remember you, talk to you with respect, and make sure you leave satisfied. If you're tired of chain shops and want to support a local business that does quality work and treats customers right, this is the place to go. They earned my trust, and I'll definitely be back for future tire and service needs. Highly recommended!

First of all, let me just ask: Why is it so difficult to find a good mechanic?…read more I've been to Auto Tech before and loved their personalized service, but since then I've moved to Baltimore. I tried another mechanic for my Honda Civic, but it just wasn't the service I wanted or expected. So, fast forward to an issue with my window. Long story short, I had it replaced by a certain well-known company, and three months later it wouldn't roll all the way up. They came back out to honor the lifetime warranty only to tell me it was the regulator. IMO they/he was responsible for breaking the regulator, as there was no problem with the window until it was replaced. There was definitely a nexus. But I digress. Instead of having to search for another mechanic in Baltimore, I just returned to what I already knew was good--Auto Tech. Todd and family are very personable and make you feel like you're at home. They're not trying to cheat you out of your hard-earned money by making up things that need to be repaired. If there's an issue, they'll lay out your options and let you choose which route you'd like to take. Again, I'm in Baltimore. But that's not a problem, as their waiting area is superb. You'll find the Wi-Fi code right there where you can see it. At one point Todd came out and said I could change the channel if I wanted to. They've got a nice coffee machine, snacks, and leather chairs that are as comfortable as the ones I have at home. My AC was also running warm so they checked that and topped it off. I also had them check my brakes. And they quickly repaired my window. The price was very reasonable. So, I'll just have to keep coming back to Bowie to have my Honda Civic serviced. No problem.

We found Ancash Roadside Assistance on Yelp and called because they had such great reviews. He answered immediately, sent me a location-sharing request, and arrived in about 20 minutes. After spending nearly two hours stranded on the side of the road, that level of responsiveness was a huge relief. Once he arrived, he got right to work and had the tire changed in less than 15 minutes. The entire process was quick, efficient, and stress-free, and we were safely back on the road much faster than expected. My only suggestion for improvement would be to introduce yourself before getting started. It was dark, and we were two women stranded on the side of the highway. When he arrived, he pulled up behind us and immediately started changing the tire without introducing himself. I genuinely appreciated the urgency and willingness to jump right in and get the job done, but in that situation, a quick introduction would have gone a long way in helping us feel more comfortable and know that the person approaching our vehicle was the roadside assistance we had called. Overall, though, the service was excellent. He showed up when we needed help, worked quickly, and got us moving again in no time. If you're stranded with a flat tire and need someone reliable, I would definitely recommend Ancash Roadside Assistance.

Oh, and that I also needed $2200 additional dollars of "work" the majority of which was new brake pads and rotors. When I asked how much of it was brake pads and roters, they said $1700 dollars. Also they told me the car was pulling HARD to the left. I had not experienced this symptom. If I take my hands OFF of the wheel while going forwards it drifts to the left..but I figured my tires needed rotating and an alignment. They were very very insistent about trying to sell me BOTH brake pads and rotors. I asked if I could just break pads. They said no. Keep in mind I brought my car in because I had an ENGINE problem. Not a brake problem. When I called back the next day, all of a sudden it was $1400 dollars to do the work they recommended. $900 of which was brake pads and rotors. I told them I needed to think about it. In the end, I said I would just pay for the work already done and pick up the car. They said "they turned off all of the dashboard lights" . When I got there, the mechanic that tested the car said that "it wasn't hard, but the car pulled the left and he never experienced that before" Uh huh. Sure. They didn't mention at all the original problem, and why the engine might be shutting down while it was on. Luckily repairing the hose seemed to fix that. By that time I was ready to just leave. When I actually turned the car in, the low air pressure light was on for the tire. So they indeed had not "turned off all the lights" nor done me the courtesy of filling up my tires after charging $230 just to DIAGNOSE the car. There was an additional charge for the labor for the rotted hose. The total I paid was around $350. And get this. When I went home, bought an air compressor, fills up the tire, the drift to the left STOPPED. These people were about to try to charge me $1700 for a symptom that could be fixed with $2.00 worth of air. Do not come here.

Would not have been an issue but they parked my car on the street where it received a ticket. When i mentioned the ticket they collected it and said they were going to pay it. A month goes by and the ticket has not been paid and it doubled. I didn't follow back up before the month went by because my dad passed 10 days later so it was not on my mind. When i called the shop to explain about the ticket they said they don't usually pay this kind of parking ticket. Lol after it doubled they conveniently do not pay this type.
