Here's a doozy.. Took our newer Ford Van in for undercoating. Long story short, our van was held up for over a week, and now WE'RE forced to install the under-floorpan insulation OURSELVES. Why? Apparently they had to remove some panels under our van to coat the frame well. OK. But the kid who removed the panels left early, apparently he never documented how these FACTORY STOCK insulation panels mount. So NO-ONE at the shop could figure out how they attach... Our van was on hold for 3 more days until the kid came back to work.. guess what! He doesn't remember either!!! Auto-One did reach out to the local ford dealer for advice. But suffice to say, that didn't help. They literally told us good luck, for us to install them, and knocked a measly $50 off the bill. WTF!? So now we're crawling underneath the van to figure out this puzzle... What kind of shop removes something and cannot figure out how to put it back together!? And then says TOO BAD! And makes the customer do it??? Unbelievable, we can't stop talking about this!! read more

My husband gave me a gift certificate in Dec 2019 and then Covid hit, so was just getting around to redeeming it. Despite me not having the actual card (just the paper receipt) they went out of their way to honor it. I was there for a detailing on my SUV but was happy to see they also did glass as I had a crack in my windshield. Overnight they got the window in and the next morning all was done. And done tp perfection, I might add. Never had a detailing as good as these guys do. Absolutely the best around for this kind of work. Super satisfied and they are on my repeat list. read more

Auto One replaced my windshield this past November and since then I've had two stones hit my windshield and both times they broke the windshield with large unrepairable cracks. 2 for 2! Of course they do not warranty it. In my 50 years of driving I've never experienced that before. I can assume the windshields they use are not very good. Next time I will go elsewhere where they use a better product. Auto One you've lost my business. read more

All I can say is they have the worst customer service ever ! The manger and the other lady at the desk need to have customer service training! Just never went to a place and have been lied to and treated like your not worth their time ! On top of that they will not warranty there work ! Let them work on my truck and it's been not right since I took it there ! And at point the lady tried to tell me she never worked on my truck so shady! If I could them 0 stars I would. While the window tinter did an amazing job, the customer service I received at this location was the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The disrespect the manager showed not only to my son but myself was horrific. I suggest researching to see if these tinters work at different locations. read more

I was extremely disappointed with my visit to the Bright Auto One. I contacted the business the day prior to obtain a quote and ended up scheduling an appointment. The gentleman who answered the phone originally asked me to come in at 2 the later called back and asked me if I could come at 11. I advised him that 11 would be fine and he advised me it would be about 2 hours. I arrived at their location at 11 am and dropped my car off. The lady at the front desk told me it would be 4 hours. I explained I was advised 2. She then asked me when I needed my car back and I said ASAP since I was told 2 hours. After about 3.5 hours I called to check the status and the girl advised me they were getting ready to pull my car in and it would be done by 5 pm. I explained I needed my car back and she said well they are pulling it in and I advised her to pull it out. She said okay fine and hung up. Never an apology or anything. It's obvious they didn't care about my business and that is fine because contacted Glass Technologies in South Lyon and the we're going extremely friendly and will be out to my house tomorrow to get it done for $60 cheaper. Due to the rude customer service I would not recommend Auto One. read more

If I could give zero star review I would. They had my truck for almost 3 hours on a job that they said would take 2 hours. When I showed up after 3 hours they hadn't even begun to work on it. They said the tech forgot to write down the job and that it would be another 1.5 hours. The manager was unapologetic and didn't offer any solutions. We bought a gift certificate for our daughter for rust proofing on her Escape, after we have been taking the truck in for its bi-annual inspections and touch ups we noticed there was rust on the rear hatch and both back doors. When I took it in to have them look at it and see what could be done, the owner said "tough luck, you didn't buy the warranty". Then they said that they had no record of me bringing the car in for the inspections, the girl at the Brighton store even told me that they don't keep records because no one keeps the cars long enough to worry about it. I did take it in to see how much it would cost to have all of the rust fixed, $8,000 I will never use or recommend this company to even to my worst enemy, poor service, no compassion, he is just out for the money and who he can take advantage of. We traded the Escape in before it is a total loss. read more

I have lived in the Brighton area now for roughly 15 years, generally like doing business locally. I had used them in the past with no issues. However, my most recent visit was very dissappointing and will never do business with Auto One and the owners Dave and Mitch Zoldowski again! Dropped my car off for interior detailing - $79.99 job. Went to pick my vehicle up - the car was sitting outside running, and the ignition key was stuck and we could not remove it. Had one of there employees come out and review - he finally got the ignition to turn off after VERY excessive force. Now the keys will not work correctly. Talked with Mitch (son of the owner), he told me he would replace the ignition. 5 days later I'm called to pick up the vehicle, the ignition is not fixed. I'm told they decided not to fix the ignition. I ask to talk with Mitch - he's not available. So, $79.99 job --- ruined ignition going to cost me $350. I'm out $430 for a 4 hour job. I drive the car for many years with no ignition problem, drop off to Auto One for 3 days and the battery is dead, ignition is ruined. Best of luck on your experience if you drop your car off to them!!! read more

Where do I begin? First, impressions - curly haired woman at the front counter does not have the disposition for customer service - very rude and acts like everyone who approached is bothering her. Secondly, the work is shoddy and they'll take forever to do it! Thirdly, when they were finally finished, I had a nice big gash in my hood (paint damage $$) like something was dropped on it. My family has used auto one for years and I have recently started going to them as well. They have replaced my front windshield and repaired two chips. My most recent experience was awesome. I was driving to work, when I received another chip in my glass. I immediately called Auto One and they said I could bring it in during my lunch hour. My visit lasted 15 minutes tops, including the phone call to my insurance agency who paid for the repair. I even had enough time to run a few more errands during lunch. I will definitely use them in the future! read more

My experience there yesterday was absolutely horrible. I would never go back. The lady at the front desk had a horrible attitude. I walked in to drop my keys off and she was being very rude and sarcastic and told us to wait for a call to come pick the car up. They called three hours later saying "we close in 5 minutes?? Were you planning on leaving the car overnight??" And I told her that she told me to wait for a call and she was very rude saying "no we told you we close at 6" (she definitely did not) and I said I would be there in 10 minutes and she was very annoyed. 7 minutes later she called back saying "sorry to be a buzz but are you close?" and I was two minutes away and when I went in the store, I paid cash and she said "well this is going to screw everything up" and looked at me and said "sorry I just have kids at home" which is no excuse to give horrible customer service. The store wasn't even closed for 5 minutes. Very disappointed!! read more

I brought my truck in for a windshield replacement last month. They ordered the wrong parts twice, so I was without my truck for 3 days. Fine, these things happen sometimes. However, they broke the emergency brake cable moving the truck in and out so many times, and not only did they not tell me it broke, they tried to tell me there was nothing wrong with it (the handle pulled all the way out of the dash). After I convinced them it was not working, the tech looked under the truck and saw what was wrong. At first they said they would take care of it, and then said they wouldn't fix it (after they got the estimate). This was yet another day without my truck. I finally fixed it myself (2 hours, plus $85) so I had a working parking brake. Two things to note in the aftermath- the first is that they never even apologized for what happened (which would have satisfied me more than enough) and the communication from two different surly women (the owner never bothered to call) was less than cordial. Second, the quality of the work is poor- there are large globs of sealant on the inside of the windshield and the exterior molding is poorly installed. I am very concerned about future leakage and subsequent rusting, but I will not be returning here and will gladly pay another shop to redo the work if need be. read more
