I was hit in a parking lot in Novi, I saw Kar Kraft Collision on my way home. I stopped in and Mike was kind enough to come out and look at the damage without an appointment. He told me what he thought needed done and gave me an estimate. There was a bit more work than noticeable, I was called and given the total repair cost, which was very fair. We ended up at this store after we tried to go to the old Grand River location but did not know that they have closed that one and refuse to put a sign up. My mother has been using this company for over 20 years, so when I needed help with my faulty Jeep Liberty roof, she referred me to them. I called them to inquire whether they could help me, and they said that they could. I came by the Grand River store at 2:30pm on a Saturday, they looked closed so I called the phone number to hear the hours. A gentleman answered the phone and said they closed at 2pm. So, I went back on Monday and called the number again while sitting outside the clearly closed door. The answer: "Yes, we are open right now." Long story short, they have moved to Wixom and answer their Detroit phone number as if they haven't to encourage customers to drive the 25 minutes out to their new store. Well, I did. At the time, I thought they would still be able to provide me the service that my mother had come to love (she was with me that Monday.) Instead, we were treated like trash. When we finally got to Wixom, my roof was pretty much falling off and it had started raining. There were 2 guys at the front desk. The older gentleman, who was very nice and accommodating told us that "Mike" was the guy who was going to help us. Well Mike kept us waiting for 25 minutes while he ordered parts, helped someone else who walked in after us, set up her appointment for the following Friday, then sat down for another 8 minute parts-ordering phone call for her appointment. After the 25 minutes, I was extremely bothered by the way we were being ignored, so I got up to leave, at that point, Mike came over and said that he couldn't help us, but he could refer us to someone else another 15 minutes out of the way, in the rain, who could look at the roof.... WHY DIDN'T HE JUST TELL US THAT WHEN WE CAME IN? Instead he made us sit there in the lobby after he KNEW that we trekked it all the way out from the Grand River location and wait while it rained in my car. Then he insulted us by waiting on the Caucasian female who came in after us (seriously? It's 2012) - just to refer us to ANOTHER store. You would think the loyalty we showed by coming to the Wixom location after they tricked us into thinking Grand River was still open would buy us some points. Nope. He can kick rocks and so can this ridiculous establishment. read more

I only went here because I was rear ended in front of their building while stopped. Never again. It took 6 weeks to get my car done, they over charged me and said they couldn't fix it, close earlier than their hours posted, I caught one guy leaving early and he said come back another day after I arranged to have a ride there to get my car and don't live locally. The work they did was terrible and the parts were not put on securely so now I've got items they "replaced" falling off. read more

I had a small scratch and ding on my bumper from someone backing up into my car. Kar Kraft seemed clean and very professional when I went in for an estimate. However when I had the work done several thing happen that gave me a poor experience. First) the work seem to take longer than it should and I got the impression they weren't ready to work on it when I dropped the car off, even though I called a week ahead to schedule a time. Second) When I called to inquire about the work they were short with me and made it seem like I was bothering them. Third) when I picked up the car they charged me more than the estimate with no good reason as to why the repair was more expensive. Fourth) there was a new scratch on the my car that I know was not present before leaving it with them. I should say that the repairs they made looked good, but it wasn't a difficult repair. I'm sure I could find another shop that would do just as good of a job, at the same cost (or less), and with more professional treatment. read more

These guys are awesome and helpful. The performed service on my car after an accident and my car came back clean and better than new. They made sure that not just the repair area was perfect, but they took care of the rest of the car too cleaning and detailing it. It came back new in my book. They also have done work on my other cars and I have had nothing but positive results not in just the craftsmanship, but the customer service too. I had my car there for an accident because my insurance sent me there. As a woman I am always skeptical of EVERY car dealership or fixing place and since the Insurance picked it I'm even more distrusting - but James was really nice and patient with my questions. The repairs did take ~3 weeks but my front end was pretty damaged and alone to get all the right parts and paint I know does take a while. They kept giving me calls during the time with updates on the status. One part was missing on the day I would have needed to give my rental back and so they gave me my car back and called me when the last - mostly decorative - part came in. James was willing to wait for me after my work in the evening after 6:30pm just to put that part in. He checked again if the car was running good and repeated the life-time warranty. I'm not an expert and I'm of course not happy my car classifies as an "accident car" but it drives the same and looks like new again. They did even clean it up a bit for me. I'm happy with the place! Had a damaged bumper cover that needed to be replaced. Sent a request with pics to four different places. All said there could be hidden damage behind the cover. But these guys were the only ones that gave me a price on that too. So I got pricing for the bumper cover replacement and a worst case scenario if there was hidden damage. The others just said they can't tell until they remove it. Kar Kraft was the recommended vendor for my car repairs from my insurance company. I was originally quoted a 2 week repair time. My vehicle has now been with Kar Kraft for 1 month. They refused to give me a solid timeframe for when the vehicle would be completed and blamed the timeline on the fact that they didnt order enough parts the first time around. Each time I call they promise completion, then change their mind on the date of pickup. Its been incredibly inconvenient. Kar Kraft has not called me with any updates. I've had to call every time. The communication has been very frustrating. I cannot comment on the quality of their work because I have not yet received my vehicle. read more
