I was a third time customer 2 weeks ago at VCR, owned by Steven Cho. I am no longer a customer…read more I took my BMW X3 to have the front clip repainted as I had some chips from freeway driving. I paid just under $1,700.00. The paint looks great. Problem is I received my car with soaking wet carpet on the driver side. So bad that I ended up taking it to the local BMW dealer to have it looked at and dried out. This took 4 days and $$s. In addition to the water I also have a new approx 2.5" long vertical scratch on my front passenger door. It goes down to the door panel and the entire door will now have to be redone. I pointed this scratch out to his secretary and a technician at pick up. They both said that it would be no problem to fix the door, at their cost, and would take just a day. I noticed a mildew smell in the car on oick up but thought it must be a 'garage' smell. I had no idea there was water in my car. I approached Steven Cho on the phone as soon as I discovered the water and within 4 hours of picking up my car from his business. Mr. Cho accused me 3x in our telephone call of breaking a bottle of water in my car. I asked him how the water got into my car (He had it for almost a week and during that time it rained heavily in Ann Arbor). His response was for 'me to tell him. ' He was equally rude when I addressed the issue of the new big scratch on my door. He said I needed t show it had not been there at drop off. And on, and on, and on. His sarcasm was stunning. I do not take attacks on my character lightly. I personally let him know how I felt about his crappy attitude. I think he is a merchant to be avoided. I don't care how good the workmanship is - Steven Cho's poor character and bad attitude are enough for me to say this: AVOID VCR AND STEVEN CHO. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. SAVE YOURSELF A HEADACHE.

It's the awful - and arrogant in my opinion - attitude and lackluster customer service (actually disservice) that resulted in this review. I made the arrangement for outside detailing for Sunday, April 4. I received a confirmation notice the day of the scheduled work. Also got a text stating he was on his way and would be arriving in 13 minutes. Good start! I was outside working in my yard of my condo when a saw a white van pull into the driveway and parking area in the back. Different vehicle than what I'm used to seeing, and, since it was arriving at about the expected time, I gave the driver a nod. Maybe he didn't see that. Anyway, instead of coming to the front door where I was, he stayed in the van and, ALLEGEDLY, called me 3 times. When working outside, I do not carry my phone in my pocket. According to Danny, when I didn't answer, he drove off. However, I have an iPhone and there was NO record of ANY calls made to me. His excuse? He called the number I gave him. Baloney! I believe I know my own phone number. Why didn't he do what EVERY other person who has ever come to either do an estimate or work - and there have been many of both - and come to the front door and entrance??? I was waiting for him, and had set aside my time (I work for the Air Force and am not always home) for both outside and inside detailing. Here's the really bad part. Instead of manning up and sincerely (not just saying the word) apologizing, he stated that he always waits in his van and calls first. Too much of an effort to ring a doorbell like everyone else?? In the Emails that followed, he totally disrespected me by telling ME what I should have done. I made an appointment, and I was outside waiting for him, and yet I didn't do enough to contact him? Again, what contractor shows up and doesn't come to the door? Only him. His actual work might be excellent, but his attitude towards me was unacceptable. Definitely NOT RECOMMENDED.

My car desperately needed an interior cleaning with dog's hair everywhere along with nose smudges…read moreand dirt from our hikes. My exterior was also bad with tree sap and road grime. The detailer was able to get all the dog hair out of the seats and even the little crevices between them. After the foam wash he made sure all the road grime and tree sap was off before applying the ceramic coating I asked for. This is my new detailer from now on and I don't even have to leave home.
