I'm disappointed in this shop and one of the worst experiences I've had at a repair shop. I took my car to a previous shop that said the car was fine. Then I called in and told them that I've been having an issue with my car not starting even after the first shop told me the starter, alternator and battery were fine. I suggested it might be an electrical issue and asked if they could take a look at it. They said yes, but I had to wait until the next week to get my car towed to them. I ended up towing my car and they came back with a diagnosis that it was in fact the starter and then tried to charge me 3+ labor hours over what the install actually took, so I took it to a different shop. I asked them if they check the electrical components of the vehicle and they said that it was in fact the starter. I got the starter replaced at a different shop and got the car back. A day later the same issue came up again. This shop tried to overcharge me and on top of that gave me the wrong diagnosis. read more

Replaced brakes. Twice. On the same Porsche. Squeak was embarrassing AFTER they were "fixed" in June 2024. Was told - this is true - that Porsche brakes would squeak for 500 miles and needed to be broken in. This is my third Porsche, brakes are part of the deal, but breaking in brakes after a $2,500.00 replacement is something no one has ever heard and not true - a deceptive trade practice. Took it back to day for one more chance to fix and guess what - the tech says someone has power sprayed the "anti-squeak" fluid off the brake pads! Wow. This place used to be legit, solid. Believe it or not, one of the hardest things to leave behind in Phoenix was my auto mechanic shop. They did a fantastic job taking care of Audrey, my beloved Audi. I was raised by a dad who taught me how to do some "car things", so my PHX mechanic always had to endure 10,000 questions from me. I'm the kind of girl who will freak out over any tiny little thing that is wrong (or that I *think* may be wrong) with my car. I keep up with oil changes, rotate my tires, etc. and generally try to keep her in top shape. I'm new to the Dallas area, and worried about finding a good place to take care of my car. I know better than to take my car to the dealership, and I struck out with another "foreign car shop" in the north Dallas area. Thankfully Auto Hans popped up on Yelp. This was the first time I'd ever used the Yelp "ask the owner" feature, and Alex answered me within about 60 seconds. He was even able to squeeze me in for my oil change on the day that I wanted. This shop uses motor oil from Germany, Liqui Moly, which I'd never heard of. Not sure if it's just me, but I swear Audrey is running smoother and better than before. I'll absolutely be back to Auto Hans for oil changes and service maintenance. Poor Alex will now have to endure all my questions. Alex is an awesome mechanic. He seems to have high volume all the time but will find time to squeeze you in. Judging from the cars in his garage area he is a Mercedes enthusiast. I have been taking my car to him well over three years now and have never had any bad experiences. He has changed my oil numerous times on a 2009 C350 Mercedes-Benz ($150). Much faster and smoother than taking it to the dealership. He has also worked on my breaks, bushings, fixed engine light problems such as the oxygen sensor, and tire pressure monitor problems as well. He charges $110 for labor. Very reasonable considering the convenience and reliability. If you live in the North Dallas area and have a German car I would highly recommend Auto Hans! read more
