    Our insurer, State Farm called the Honda Dealer in Bradenton (which does not have its own auto body…read moreshop) for recommendations. This was their first choice. So glad they suggested this team. Our brand new (700 miles) car was rear ended by a Ford F150 at 45 mph (along with 5 other vehicles - we were first). While the exterior damage doesn't look that bad, the wheel was destroyed, rotor was wrapped around our bent suspension, and the total exceeded $8,000. The insurance company received their estimate the next day, and authorized most of the genuine Honda new parts, but substituted several less expensive after-market parts. The manager, Adam, called me to express his dissatisfaction with ANY after-market parts and suggested I call the insurer. After a quick call to our agent, State Farm approved the entire list. I received weekly update calls along the 6-week process of ordering parts, back orders, delivery delays etc... We got our car back in mint condition, still missing (back ordered) an interior trim piece. We returned for a quick hour snd they replaced that too. The staff was so friendly, service was consistently excellent, and we heartily recommend these folks for any repair job!

(I had ideas but no clue what actually worked!) Then I finally found **Frost Auto** -- and they absolutely delivered. They handled everything: fresh paint, engine, tune-up, and brake maintenance, upgraded exhaust, new lighting, new moldings--a full overhaul at a fair price AND guarantee all of their work. (Classic, collector paint job started @ $25k) Admittedly, I was nervous about this investment, but after meeting the team for an estimate, a couple of follow up chats, that concern quickly turned into trust and enthusiasm. I shipped parts and mods straight to them, asked plenty of questions along the way, and Kim/Pete were patient and helpful EVERY time. Pete's recommendations actually improved my original plan, and their honesty about what they could and couldn't do made all the difference. The results? Beyond expectations. My FJ feels brand new--and honestly looks better than it did when it rolled off the lot. It's ready to run another 20 years. I was originally quoted one price for the repair, but later I was told the cost went up because I "needed hoses added," with no clear explanation or proof provided for why those parts were necessary. There was no documentation, no visual inspection shown, and no real breakdown to justify the added work--just a verbal claim that it was required. On top of that, the final charge ended up being more than 3x what the same OEM part is listed for at Ford, which raises serious concerns about how the pricing was marked up and presented. The issues didn't stop there. This happened on a Friday. I was told my car would be ready before 4:00 PM, but around 4:30 PM I only received a last-minute text update. I arrived at approximately 5:09 PM, and the shop was already closed. There was no one available, no way to speak to anyone, and no reliable way to get updates or access my vehicle. Because of the timing and the fact that it was already Friday evening, my car would have been stuck there all weekend until Monday, which directly affected my work schedule. I had to go out of my way to find and contact the owner myself just to avoid being left without my vehicle for multiple days. While I did get my car back, the overall experience felt inconsistent, poorly communicated, and not handled in a transparent or professional way
