Very disappointed. Would not recommend, will never go back. I called and got an appointment for an estimate. When I showed up the first thing I heard was, 'this will cost a lot of money' without asking any questions. As I inquired about using used parts to save money, I was left standing as the representitive walked away and said, 'we won't estimate this for you'. What kind of business does this? Beware of this guy....Kevin the owner. Do not have your car repaired at this place. I brought my Nissan Versa here because of a front end repair. The radiator needed to be replaced and I was charged for a new one. Additionally, the car was bent inside and never straightened out. I found this all out when I took my car for a local oil change and they told me it was almost impossible to change the oil due to the frame being bent. I called Kevin and he denied everything I said and refused to fix it. Stay away from this place. It has a bad reputation for ripping customers off. I paid $1,900 and nothing was repaired. read more

They promised me my car on Friday and called me at 5pm on Friday to say it was ready but they were closing. These stupid people don't even open on Saturdays but their front door says they open from 8am to 1pm on Saturday's. I called all their numbers and waited hours having to pay someone to bring me all the way from St. Pete and wait and after 2 hours they call me to say... oooh we don't open on Saturday's don't know why Kevin would tell you that. I saw the car on the lot the bumper isn't even lined up with the rest of the car and the lower grate is not even on it. I have found my new go-to auto body shop in town. I was having a problem in which my car would sometimes not turn on at all. I brought it to Kevin and Phil and they took extensive time to check it out. After spending an hour inspecting every area and not finding anything, they went online and found that this was just (unfortunately) a typical problem with the car. They gave me advice on what I could do to prevent it from happening in the future and then -- even though they had spent a great deal of time on the car -- they told me that, since there was no problem to be found, there was no charge. That says a lot about them and their shop. Needless to say, next time there is a bigger problem, I will be going back there. read more

I cannot recommend Burke's Auto Body. I was told (last week) the body work would be finished in 2 days, it became 6 after daily excuses as to why it wasn't done. Additionally, there was a very small dent on front bumper I told them to fix but wasn't cause they said there was a miscommunication. Simply not true. I was clear on what I wanted repaired. My mistake bringing it here. I'll be sure to inform my neighbors (1,200 homes) via Facebook my experience. You'd think given the gross delay and not completing the job I'd get a call to say bring it back and we'll fix what we missed at no costs. Won't hold my breath. read more

Had to take in the wife's car after brother in law had a parking incident with the front bumper. They gave an estimate, stuck to it and had the car done when they said. 2 days to get new bumper and front spoiler and one day to paint and install. Did a great job matching the paint and the body lines. read more

I'm beyond exhausted with this entire thing but I have to leave this review to hopefully save someone else from this disaster of a business. bottom line this business did not resolve my issue with the air conditioning. They ordered wrong parts at least 3 times. The mechanic after wasting 3 weeks of my time and money finally admitted he had no idea how to fix it. He was even watching YouTube videos at the end. They wanted to waste even more of my time now saying they had to move on to other jobs when my job definitely started before them.. the mechanic was Richard. Nice guy. Not a great mechanic. And to be clear my issue was fixed promptly by another business as soon as I gave up and took the money loss on Burke's. So obviously my car wasn't some special case that nobody could crack. Now the owner... KEVIN. Cursing constantly, making gross comments about every woman that enters the place, an all around miserable guy. I was made to feel like an inconvenience to them while they were wasting my work days and charging me while not fixing the issue. I'm sure the business will comment that they towed my car to me for free one time in the 3 weeks I dealt with them. Thanks so much for bringing me back my car unfixed so I could at least go to work while you guys attempted to figure your crap out. I stuck with Burke's longer than I should have. Kevin uses fear tactics to make you feel like all other businesses will screw you over (I have this on video and pretty much everything else). Ultimately it was Burke's that screwed me over. Almost $2K for them to change every part there was to change in the AC system but not fix the problem. read more

Seems like a nice guy when you get an estimate. BUT once you hand him your keys and your stuck with him he does a complete 180. EXTREMELY rude - literally told the customer in front of me who was only asking for a receipt " stop f***ing with me you paid me now get the f*** out of here " and that's word for word. As for his work. Good at body work but paint not so much. And it was just a basic color nothing special. I've never heard anybody talk to customers the way he did. And unless your insurance is dealing with him he's a no written estimate guy. read more

Like most of you that browse reviews before making an important decision so did I with Burkes.I was asked to pay cash for body work in exchange for what I thought was a good deal so I did. After work was completed I picked up my car and paid cash 1 week later all the paint started peeling and bubbling On the 3rd trip back to have it repainted this man BURKE said it would take another week..... I jumped in my car never to return and call it a loss. I will be picking up my car today from a reputable company that told me they had never seen such terrible body/paint work done before. That said they charged me an additional 15 hours of labor to remove what Burkes autobody did. read more

I say this because whenever I look at reviews I always wonder if the people writing the reviews work at that particular establishment. Anyways this might be the only garage I've ever been to that DID NOT look at me like I was a bag of cash when I walked into their office. After a collision that damaged the front end of my Subaru (and actually bent the frame slightly), I needed repairs and body work. I searched Yelp and found Burke's Body Work. I am so happy with the work Kevin and crew did! The matched the paint perfectly, the car runs great (and straight), and they fixed the worn-out brakes that contributed to the accident. I had a hit and run dent on my 15 yr. old Toyota Camry and Burke's was recommended to me by a friend. I stopped in for a quote and the man there gave a quick look at the car and said $1200. That is about what my car is worth. I said that includes a paint job, right? He said no, that would be $3000! Well I got the dent fixed by Dents Now for $145 and I used a little rubbing compound that took me about 5 minutes and my car is back to its old self. I would not recommend Burke's unless you have money to burn. read more

We had scrapes in 3 areas along the driver's side that needed to be sanded out and repainted. Burke's did an excellent job and the owners are very cordial and accommodating. Their price was very competitive, and after reading the great reviews we decided to go with them. We received 3 other estimates and 2 of them were extremely high. The other body shop that was lower in price did not have good reviews here on Yelp, so we avoided them. They are honest, hardworking people and we would recommend them to anyone who needs body work done on their car. They guarantee their work for life to the original owner. read more

Did ok on the paint job. Had a few small bubbles (one of which burst and cracked within a week). The dent was still in the molding after they fixed it. Even one of their own workers said it was a bad job. They didn't honor the "lifetime warranty" by saying that the vehicle had been hit again (within a two week period). It had no scratches and another body shop compared before and after pictures and said the ripples were identical and there was no way that vehicle had been hit again in the very same place. I was spoken to in a very unprofessional manner. Lesson learned... read more

This news is regarding a local business in Bradenton, Burke's Auto Body. My car was broken down on the side of I-75 on May 1st. I was with my wife and daughter and we called AAA for a tow. They hooked us up with Burke's Auto Body to tow our car to Tuffy's. Once we were picked up the driver offered to take our car to Burke's because Tuffy's was said to rip people off especially if they are from out of town, the driver knew we were from Naples. When at Burke's Auto Body, the owner Kevin quoted us a price to replace our fuel pump in our car and quoted us a price of $800 to fix it for parts and labor. The labor was intensive as the fuel pump was located inside the gas tank and to be fixed professionally it would take 5-6 hours to repair properly. They seemed to be honest people and even offered us a "Fleet Rate" for labor knowing we were a family who may need a break. Everything appeared to be good, the car runs just fine. The only trouble is, I found out Burke's cut a corner in repairing the problem. Instead of spending the time to do it professionally, they decided to cut a hole in the trunk area of my car to create a new access panel to get inside the fuel tank. This repair takes 2 hours at the most to complete. Kevin did not ask for my permission to do this repair this way, the work was covered up inside my trunk. I took my car into my usual repair shop upon return to Naples after there were gas fumes that could be smelled inside the car. My mechanic discovered the access hole that Burke's Auto body created without my knowledge and showed me the work that was done. This hole was covered with plastic (rather than sheet metal) and bonded crudely with epoxy. My car is now unsafe to drive as is. I called Burke's over the past few weeks to figure out how much labor was put into my car. I could never get a straight answer from anyone. On my receipt it simply said Fuel Pump, nothing was itemized and there was no price for the fuel pump either. After speaking to Kevin and his wife who runs Administrative work in the office, they would never return my calls or send me an email of an itemized receipt as Kevin said he would. I finally made a special trip up to Bradenton, after I was getting nowhere after weeks of calling. When I showed up the morning of May 3rd, I was sworn at several times by Kevin. All I wanted was an itemized receipt, at which point he admitted to cutting the hole instead of doing the work the right way as he told me he would. He then said that he was trying to save myself and family money for doing less work. But the price quoted was exactly the same. He then said the fuel pump cost him 600 dollars. I've looked up the price of my fuel pump and my mechanic told me that even a 350 dollar fuel pump would be considered a premium part. When I asked Kevin why he would pay 600 dollars for a 350 dollar pump he refused to answer. He refused to even tell me the brand of the pump he allegedly paid for. Kevin left the immediate area cursing again, and told his wife to get me the F*@# off the premises. He then hid in the back of his garage, instead of settling the matter. read more

Never go to Burke's. After a big speech from a big guy about his commitment to quality, he gives my job to a guy he ends up firing for poor craftsmanship. When I go back to have the work rectified, the manager calls me a liar about the work I need done saying "I did it" and it left the shop 100%. read more

I had walked into Burke's to get an estimate on a repaint on my non damaged 4cyl car. I was greeted by a man named Kevin, who just groaned about how life was slowly getting worse. He didn't make an effort, while I sat there, to make it seem like my business mattered. He joked with others, how he had HIV, and talked to employees while I sat there patiently. I finally said something about my car to get his attention to go outside. He had quoted me over $2,000 more than another I had gotten from another business. He then called an employee over an they joked right in my face that I'd be better off getting 6 prostitutes and leaving my car alone. He even said he didn't really need my car because he would do better off of other cars. Not professional in the least! Don't expect to treat your potential customers like idiots and then expect them to shell out thousands of our hard earned dollars to you. Do not trust this place!!! read more
