This is, hands-down, the towing company you need to call if you're reading reviews and trying to make an informed decision. Here's why: Our alternator decided to die in Bradenton, of all places on the Manatee River bridge, so we spent a HARROWING hour on the side of the interstate, trying to diagnose the issue and ultimately calling a tow truck. We were stuck standing on a narrow strip of concrete between the truck (in the breakdown lane) and the side of the bridge watching cars going at 70-80 mph, many of them veering into the breakdown lane (likely distracted by looking at the water or their phones) only to notice at the last minute that we were stalled there (with no electronics and no ability to put on hazard lights) then swerving back into their lane to avoid us, it was unnerving, to say the least. We called a tow truck, and, in short order after placing the call, an angel of a tow truck driver arrived - Scott, of Scott's Towing. Scott immediately ushered us to safety in his tow truck and had us handled and off the interstate in a matter of minutes. We coordinated a drop-off & next-day repairs with another really nice young man at a repair shop (Cameron at Tire Choice). Now, my husband can fix anything mechanical, and had we been near his wide array of tools, he could have done the work himself, but that's not how the story went. So, after depositing our car outside the repair shop, Scott spent another 45 minutes or so with us, loaning us what tools he had and helping us to determine if there was any quick fix that could be done. When we concluded it was the alternator and could not be fixed on the spot, Scott insisted on driving us to a hotel. He thoughtfully helped us to select a lovely and historic Hilton/Hampton Inn downtown and within walking distance of restaurants and other places we might need as we waited out the repair. His towing fee was SUPER reasonable, very fair, and though we tipped on the tow, Scott refused our offer of an additional tip for his continued kindness and assistance. I called Scott's at the recommendation of Autonation Ford. I needed some work on a vehicle that had been parked for a while and needed it towed to Ford. Scott was very helpful in scheduling the appt for the following week, followed up when he said he would and kept me informed on when his driver would be here to get the vehicle. They wanted to make sure they didn't miss nor arrive late for my service appt. The driver (don't recall name) was so helpful and friendly and loaded my SUV on the tow truck with care, and gave some tips along the way on how to handle battery boosting issues, etc. Overall, I'm very pleased with the experience we've had using Scott's Towing, highly recommend them based on the experience we've had and would definitely use them again, if their services were needed. read more

I was in an accident and the highway patrol contacted Scott's towing to pick up my car, both him and his wife are in the truck at the time, and they were kind enough to give me a ride home from the accident scene. I believe his wife's name is Cindy, I am terrible with names so if it is not I apologize, but she said something to me that really hit home. She said the car did its job, and I'm still with them. It was the most kind thing anybody had said to me all day, and it just needs to be known how much this company cares about people and how kind they are. After a long day of car issues & waiting for AAA to get their dispatch in order , Scott's Towing was there to save the day . I will not bog the reader down with the details of the AAA roadside call ; but I will let you know that I was waiting for service from one of AAA's commissioned service providers . They never showed . They informed AAA that a driver came to assist with roadside assistance . That is a total fallacy . I was there the whole time at the location for service lodged with AAA . In the future , I will call Scott's Towing for all towing needs . Ben was driving the rig . It was late at night . Close to 10 . I had been waiting since 18:43 for the other service that AAA commissions service calls with . The level of service and professionalism that Ben with Scott's Towing service provide in my time of need was exactly what was needed after waiting for hours for service from a regular AAA commissioned service provider . From now on , it will be Scott's Towing service for those times of crisis . Their level of service is of an exceptional quality , in an industry not known for its professionalism or service . I have lodged with AAA that I will not accept service from the regular commissioned provider they have on record . To be quite honest , if AAA went through their commission file , and eliminated the service providers that are not service oriented , and replaced them with organizations such as Scott's ; it is possible that AAA clients would be a happier bunch of people . read more

This place nickels and dimes you. They charge you to prove who you are. They charge to jump your car and when it doesn't they charge you to bring it out front. They suck. They towed the car of a single mom with 3 kids and charged her just short of 500 and she still doesn't have the car because it won't start and she has no more money to give. They showed up with the wrong type of tow truck, and/or failed to put the vehicle in neutral, which completely destroyed my transmission and transfer case. Scott from Scott's Towing is professional, funny and a miracle worker! Our Mercedes Benz died in a restaurant parking lot at night. The car would not turn on and when it did the gear shift would not go into drive or neutral. Therefore we had multiple problems. Small, tight, crowded parking space for Scott to maneuver and no neutral gear. A lot of damage could happen to our Benz if not towed properly. Scott made it happen in record time and towed us to dealership. He filled out overnight paperwork for dealership and was super kind to drop us off at our house. Unbelievable.... Horrible. The driver lied to the dispatcher and lied to me. what does he take me for an idiot... Supposed to pick my vehicle up between 8-10AM never showed. Said to dispatcher he called me, NOT! he lied. Then he said to me finally at 5:30 PM that the phone rang on his end.... WRONG. The ring is not heard if the cell phone cannot get a data acknowledgment from the called unit. HE LIED AGAIN.... I have a need for a tow company as I am in the transportation business and sometimes my cars or SUV's break down or blow tires. This is one company I will never call.
