Dr. Pham and his team go above and beyond. They epitomize customer service and patience. If you have trouble with contacts, this is the place for you. Thank you for everything. read more

Austin Vision Center has it going on. Easy to get an appointment, excellent staff and service, and a wide variety of frames. I first stopped in a year ago after an eye exam at another provider. The team at Austin Vision Center helped me find a great pair of glasses and were fun and friendly, so when it was time for my next exam I thought I'd give Dr. Pham a try. He mirrored the vibe, spending a lot of time talking to me about my daily eye-related habits, the health of my eyes, and ways to reduce strain as I stare at two screens + my phone ALL DAY. Then Deanna helped me find new frames. She has a talented eye for what looks good and is super patient while you make your selection. She was the tie breaker for me when I couldn't decide between two frames. I'm somewhat new to Austin and excited to finally find my preferred provider for eye care. read more

The nicest people. Replaced the nose pads on my Lindberg frames without hesitation and with a smile. A nice contrast to a rather snooty Lindberg seller downtown. read more

My husband and I had such a great experience today. Michele, Deanna and Dr. Pham were there. Our optometrist retired, so we needed a new one. Dr. Pham is a great listener, does a thorough exam and has a great bedside manner. Actually, I could say that for Michele and Deanna also. Deanna spent a ton of time helping us pick out glasses. She is very knowledgeable and efficient. At one point, Dr. Pham came out and gave us his opinion. I have read the negative reviews on this sight and I see they are older reviews. I hope people try this place out. It is a different team than years ago and they work well together. On top of that, they have a fabulous selection of frames to choose from. read more

Dr. Hutson and the entire team of doctors, staff, and support provide a great customer experience. I found cute glasses and a fair price and am a very happy camper. Highly recommend. read more

I needed to get an eye exam after having issues passing the eye test for my driver's license renewal. Looking for an optometrist accepting my insurance I chose to see Dr. Mark Hutson at Austin Vision Center. I was very pleased with my choice! The office is conveniently located just outside of downtown with plenty of parking available. When I called to schedule an appointment I was given one within 3 business days. I had the paperwork that needed to be filled out faxed over to me and faxed it back along with a copy of my insurance card. Check-in on the day of my appointment was very smooth with a minimal wait time. Dr. Hutson was very thorough and pleasant during the exam. He explained in detail the questions I asked. His staff was courteous and prompt. So whether you go to an eye exam once-a-year like me (at least for now) or more routinely need to see an optometrist, I highly recommend Dr. Hutson and the staff at Austin Vision Center! read more

I got charged the highest fitting fee than anywhere. They forgot to order my contacts and didn't really have a reason why. Their frame selection is very low and the staff is unapologetic when they make appointment mistakes. read more

Questionable I needed an updated prescription for contacts. So I made an appointment at Austin Vision Center. They were able to get me in the same day. Exam took literally 15 mins which was good. When I done, they said no charge or co-pay. I walked out and realized they failed to give me a written prescription. I wanted a prescription because their price for the contact lenses was $20 a box more than Wal-mart or online. I walked back in and asked for a hardcopy of my prescription. They seemed reluctant to give it to me and then said - oh actually there is a co-pay of $55 which you need to pay. So when they learned I had plans to buy my contacts somewhere else, they hit me up for a "fitting fee". My wife was there a month before under the same plan and no co-pay. However, she did not ask for a written prescription. read more

I come in just to buy contacts, not for an eye exam. I am however, extremely disappointed with the customer service that I have received. Every time I walk in, the staff is very unfriendly and seems unwilling to help. I have never written a negative review before, but something about dealing with this place left horrible taste in my mouth. I can't even believe this place is a business. Why would people willingly return to a place of business where the staff is unfriendly and unwilling to help? I am happily scheduling an appointment at another vision center and will never be going back here. read more

I went to just about every glasses place in Austin looking for the right frames, and these guys had it. A nice selection, and nice range of shapes. I found exactly what I wanted, something stylish but understated. Then I hit my face with the hatchback of a friends car the night before a 3 day workshop. My glasses flew apart! I went in the next morning when they opened, before the workshop started. They got them put back together and saved my weekend. Every encounter I've had there was pleasant. No pushy or snobby sales people, they take my UT vision insurance, and fantastic service. You just can't beat that. read more

Went here for an eye exam and new glasses based on the designers they carry at their store. Fantastic staff, great doctor and excellent selection of eyewear. The best was the gentleman who spent over an hour with me, helping me find the right pair of glasses. I must have tried on a million and not once was his attitude anything other then helpful and considerate. I'm extremely pleased with my whole experience here and will definitely go back again. read more

Our family has been going to Austin Vision Center at Four Points since we moved to Austin back in 2007. Initially we saw Dr. Hutchson and later Dr. Bryan Marshal for the last few years. Dr. Marshall is a great professional, very friendly and knows his stuff. He's also a rare Optometrist who is a Glaucoma expert. My wife has borderline Glaucoma and she gets all the care from Dr. Marshall in AVC, including tests and medicine prescriptions etc. He's very patient and experienced, even if young looking. They also have a good collection of eye frames (better selection in their Tarry Town office). read more

Dr. Hutson is an accomplished professional. Dr. Marshall is an accomplished orofessional. They are well versed, current, offer good value eyewear and Texas friendly. If you want eye care, well done, go see Hutson or Marshall. If you want cheap glasses go to the mall or walmart. I have gone to Austin Visions for 25 years. Always good, everytime. Great shop, great staff, accomodating. read more

Austin Vision Center is just a few blocks from my house so it's very convenient for me. Plenty of parking always! I've gone there for over 20 years and been pleased with the service every visit. Their doctors are all excellent therapeutic optometrists which means they can treat eye infections as well as just check your vision correction. Plus they have a great selection of stylish frames! I've always found fashionable frames there that I was proud to wear. Recently I ordered a pair of glasses to wear while I work at the computer, but they weren't right. There was no hassle with ordering a different type which allow me to see my two laptops and a separate monitor with no problem. Goodbye to my stiff neck! I would recommend Austin Vision Center highly! read more

This was a very bad experience overall. These people are after the money honey. Hang onto yours because they'll get it anyway they can. The very rude wife of the doctor, Anne, told me she OWNS the place all alone when I asked to speak to the owner. Obviously, not true Such a rip off place read more

I had made an appointment with Bryan Marshall, the optometrist, for my 15-year-old daughter, who needed to get established with someone here as we are new in town. A friend had said he was good with her young son. Then I read the YELP reviews and was bracing myself for a bad experience, but it never came. Marshall was great with my daughter, who wanted to try contacts. His exam seemed thorough and his equipment was nicer and newer than that of her previous eye doctor in another state. He said she was "way under corrected" and explained to us how that happens (teen years being notorious for a time of eye changes). I have never worn glasses and I really appreciated how much detail he was willing to go into to help me understand things. He told my daughter she could get contacts that day, so he had a staffer help her in another room, showing her how to put them in/take them out. My daughter practiced for about 30 min when Marshall came out and told me that he was leaving the office (Friday night, 5:45 pm), but that the staff would continue to work with her. Or she could come back on Monday. He said that sometimes it takes several visits to get the hang of it. Very patient, very calm. Marshall also talked about our lens choices and how we could save money. Everyone in the place was wearing glasses with frames and when we had come in a few minutes early, and after we'd filled out our paper work, we were told we could browse or look at the frames. But that's what all eye doctors do, right? They want you to look at the $700 Silhouette frames! Anyway, we're going back for a follow-up shortly and I already feel like my daughter is in good hands. I am glad I did not panic after reading some of the reviews here, and I can say that I really felt comfortable with this eye guy -- and I will probably book an appointment for myself and my husband, as we have reading glasses and aging eye issues. Marshall is very young-looking but seemed more competent than the highly-regarded doctor we saw in our previous state! read more

I went in today for an 11am appointment I made a month ago. They called yesterday and we both confirmed. I arrived more than five minutes early. At 10 minutes after, they brought me back and did a few quick things. Then, I was told the doctor was at least ten minutes away. No apologies or explanation. I asked them to call him to see how long it would be, as this was the middle of my work day and I knew I had an important call coming up. Five minutes later, the guy came back and said it would be at least 15 minutes, if not more...again, no explanation. I told him I had to leave and I thought this was ridiculous. He agreed but was not at all surprised by the doctor's lack of care for his patients' time. When I am 30+ minutes late for my clients, I get fired. And now, so are you. read more

This review is for customer service and frame selection. They have the best high end, designer selection in ALL of Austin. How do I know this? Because I searched everywhere for designer frames to fit my small head! They helped me pick a frame and special ordered the color that I wanted. Yay! Fast forward a year and a half...broke my glasses after moving to CA. I called DENNIS and he single-handedly facilitated and arranged for the repair of my frames here in CA...THE SAME DAY. All I had to do is show-up and pay. Need I say more? This is the type of business that you want to stay in business. I highly recommend. read more

Took my eyeglasses prescription to be filled at Austin Vision Center. After 2 months and four attempts they couldn't get it right. They kept blaming me that I needed to adjust to the new glasses, although I've worn this type of glasses for years and never needed to adjust to them previously. Each time I picked up my glasses and tried to wear them I would get headaches, nauseous and dizzy. I would go see my board certified opthamologist eye doctor who told me Ausitn Vision Center wasn't following his prescription properly. He would write specific instructions on the rx and I would take them back. After 4 attempts and having to run back to my doctor's office each time, I just asked for a refund. They refused they said b/c the "economy is too bad" Whatever. They finally agreed to 1/2 refund when I showed them my doctor's notes that they were completely changing his prescription. I'll dispute the remainder of what they owe me with my credit card company. MIght end up being a really expensive lesson. I spend almost 1000.00 in this store b/c I also bought another pair of frames and had it filled with simple reading glasses. I was going to buy some sunglasses and another pair of glasses. You would think they would value a customer like me. Not so. Their optician salesperson still disagrees with my board certified opthamalogist eye surgeon doctor and says he followed the rx. Yeah right!! I took my rx to another vision center and they managed to fill the rx perfectly first time. I now have my glasses, but no thanks to Austin Vision Center. Pro- good selection of designer frames at good prices Cons - poorly trained staff, don't think opticians are licensed or certified or even trained- just sales kids. Owner optometrist never bothered to see if he could help the kid who was trying to fill my rx do it properly. Bad service policy to blame customer. read more

Austin Vision Center is the BEST! They really know what they are doing here. I have seen both Dr. Hutson and Dr. Marshall and I highly recommend both! They are so thoughtful and thorough and provided excellent care. The staff is also very helpful and knowledgeable. GREAT selection of glasses too. read more

I have gotten several pairs of eye glasses from Austin Vision Center over the years and have always been happy with their service and eyewear. In fact, they adjusted my progressive prescription so expertly that I no longer struggle to read and see what I need to see. Another eyewear place totally goofed up my request. The prices are high, but a long lasting frame from expert technicians is worth it. read more

I would strongly NOT recommend this place, and here is why -- I have been a custome there 10 years, and have had many exams and bought expensive glasses before, as has my wife. The small plastic nosepiece fell off on my glasses so I stopped in and they replaced it, but while "adjusting" the glasses (which I didn't even ask them to do) they cracked the lens where it is unusable. They said "too bad", you need to buy another pair for $500. After some discussion over a period of days, they offered me a discount on my old prescription to replace the lense. The bottom line is I walked in with perfectly working glasses, and 10 minutes later I was supposed to pay $500 because they cracked my lens by over torquing it; they even admitted it was over torqued but still the answer was "too bad". I am surprised about this level of service (or non service), espeically as I have spent a large amount of money there over the 10 years and had been a regular customer. I will not be going back, and I don't recommend anyone else go there either give the service you will get. Sure they are all nice and smiles while taking in $800 for lens + frames, but don't count on any help if they snap your glasses in half later. Save yourself the trouble and go to a more reputable company; there are many other options. read more

The doc took his time with you and was very genuine. They had a great selection of eye glasses. However, the exam was $$$ as well as the glasses but I guess you get what you pay for. read more
