There were things I liked or seemed fine: the guy who set up the contract was good (Kevin). They came when they said they would and the gutters look good - I'm pleased with the color options and straight face option - in my opinion they have a good mix of offerings. I provided 'rain chains' (chains from tractor supply co.) for 4 of the downspouts and they happily installed them. These look good too. The installer was quick, actually much quicker than originally scheduled, which is fine. The installer left about 6 little shards of cut gutters lying around the house for my 2 year old and 5 year old to find. To me, cut metal can be the sharpest and most dangerous building material - screws and nails can occasionally be concerning but metal shards are so much worse. And I'd have been sort-of ok with 1-2, but 6? AGK had a post installation inspection as one of their selling points. I am kind of neutral on the subject, but since they had mentioned it a number of times I assumed they'd stop by for 10 minutes at some point. It's been 3 1/2 months since the gutters were installed and they have yet to do so. Lastly, one of the installed gutters collects standing water at one end and I thus assume it slopes the wrong way. I only noticed this because it dripped on me through the rivets in the gutter. I climbed up on my roof to investigate, and though it hadn't rained in a few days there was definite standing water. I called a couple weeks ago about this problem and she said they'd call me back; they never did. I remembered it again about a week ago and have yet to be able to get through to an actual person while trying a handful of times, the call goes to a recording. I left a message as instructed. I've yet to hear back about correcting their mis-sloped gutter. So between the metal shards, the inspection thing - which might have found the misinstalled gutter, and the fact I can't seem to get ahold of anyone, I can't say I'm very impressed. read more

So these guys did an installation at a home my wife and I were renting at the time. We did not hire them our landlord did. So here is what happened, I come home one day and noticed that I have a scratch going down the side of my new jeep and I'm wondering what the heck happened. After talking with my wife she mentioned that there were some people working on the gutters today, so of course I call my land lord and ask if he had the name and number of the contractors used to install the gutters and to my surprise they had already notified him and left a call back number and a name "Matt" I gave Matt a call we spoke briefly and I informed him of my damages and told him that I knew a local company that did good work that I trusted. I initially gave him a quote based on the pictures I sent to this company and when I actually gave my jeep to the dealer they informed me that it was going to be about a $100 more than originally quoted because there was a small scratch on the hood that they couldn't see from the pictures I had texted over. How did I get the scratch in the 1st place? "One of the installers accidently had a ladder that hit my Jeep" Anyways the reason these guys get a 5 star and will get our business when my wife and I move in our new house is because Matt took care of us. This is actually my first Yelp review in years, but Austin Gutter King really earned it. It's been a few months since the install, and everything still looks and works great. Bob came out for the estimate and was great to work with... friendly, on time, and not pushy at all. He walked the property, explained what we needed, and gave me a clear quote the same day. The whole thing was easy to handle online, which made it simple from start to finish. Rainy and his crew showed up right on time and got to work. They were polite, efficient, and clearly take pride in what they do. They even spotted a small fascia issue and fixed it while they were here. The job was done quickly, and they left everything spotless. We've got a lot of cedars and a few big oaks around the house, so we added gutter guards this time - and thank God we did. After a few unexpected storms, the gutters are working perfectly with zero clogs or overflow. I also want to mention that the prices were surprisingly affordable, especially considering Austin Gutter King pretty much dominates the market around here. Moving into a new house we needed gutters. We saw that Austin Gutter King was doing some work for some neighbors so we walked over and investigated the job, that is when we met Gary Kulp. Gary proceeded to come by our house and talk about our unique situation(roof line). Gary was/is professional, is solution oriented and stands behind his work 110%. He is responsive and completes the work in a timley fashion. We have been working off and on with Gary over the past 5 years and each time we speak he still remembers our name and location of our home like it was yesterday. Here is my experience with Austin Gutter King. The sales rep came and we reviewed the needs. A quote was submitted and did require a 50% down payment as noted. The schedule was set up and all was fine. Two weeks later I get a call and they were able to schedule the work earlier than first anticipated. The crew showed up, polite and focused. They discovered some issues with the roof that needed attention before they could complete their work. Hours after they left a quality check was done on the work by an official of AGK which was very proactive and customer focused. Austin Gutter King completed the job on time. These guys............all of them from owner, sales, and the installers..........are GREAT. All were professional, courteous, humorous, showed up within the time frame that they stated, worked HARD all day, stayed late to finish, and I have beautifully installed gutters on my house. This was no easy task on my 106 year old house with a lot of tricky corners to deal with and weird facia problems!!!! We had gutters installed 7/7/14. Our experience was outstanding. We had another quote with someone else with too many downspouts and gutters to my liking since our house was smaller then before. I initially contacted Austin Gutter King on March 17 and set up an appointment to have Jason come out on March 22 to bid and final installation was on April 7th by Albert. Bear in mind that I live 60 miles from Austin past Bastrop, so I always allow extra time for any work to be done by anyone. Austin Gutter King offered a 1/4 round Coppper gutter which I believe looked better then the standard 1/2 round offered by other shops in town. They took the time to design a system which both looked great and has been very effective. It has been almost a year now and no issues whatsoever with the gutters. AGK did a great job installing our rain gutters. Everyone was polite and professional. They responded to my emails quickly. The quality of workmanship is very good. Our gutters have support brackets that prevent bending over time and the down spouts are wider as compared to others. AGK deserves the 5 star rating. read more
