I was extremely impressed with Lionel of Central Texas Custom Gutters. With most contractors, you expect a certain amount of corner cutting - late to appointments, the occasional rescheduling, the attempt at an upsell - all par for the course. Not with CTCG. He was early to the appointment, knowledgeable and helpful when we chose our gutters. His crew came and completed the work while we were away - when we returned, the gutters were so well done - contoured to the house and matched in color - that they were hardly noticeable. I was very impressed and highly recommend him. I cannot comment on relative prices since I did not compare with other contractors, but I was happy with the price he gave and once I saw the finished product, I feel that we got a great deal. read more

Lionel is the man. We went through several gutter companies and it's amazing how many act like they could care less if they get your business or not which gives me zero confidence they will do the job right. Lionel clearly rose to the top. We had some tricky places and he actually took his time and engineered it on site and the end result is a perfect job. He wasn't going to leave there until it was to his liking. Priced competitively, you can get cheaper but beware "you get what you pay for". It takes a lot to get 5 stars from me and Lionel did it. I did some research online and found a wide range of rates on the average price of gutters so I turned to Yelp to find the names of reputable, local companies to provide quotes. I ended up having four different companies come out, including Central Texas Custom Gutters. Even though there was only one review on Yelp, it was extremely positive and I'm so happy I I contacted CTCG. While some of the other companies took up 1-2 weeks to come out for a quote, Lionel came out the very next day and provided the quote on the spot. He educated us on gutters and there was never any high pressure sales. Once I had reviewed all of the quotes, it became apparent that CTCG was the best option for us. The quote was for far less than the other contractors and the warranty and size of gutters (6 inch versus 5 inch from competitors) were superior to the other companies. Scheduling the installation was painless and he was able to fit us in the very next week. Lionel and another worker arrived on time and were very fast and efficient at the installation. The color of our gutters matches our house perfectly, flows with the design, and looks custom. read more

Lionel at Cen. Texas Custom Gutters was great. I have a weird house that previous owners haven't always maintained well. He listened to my ideas and then came up with something way better. Everything performed well during the big storm we had last week (5" overnight), and it looks great as well. I called 3 or 4 places before them and none of them wanted to deal with my house. He wasn't phased...total pro. I can't really comment on cost, but their quote seemed more than reasonable given how hard it seemed to find anyone that would take the job. Stop looking for a gutter company. Just call them. read more

I highly recommend CTCG! - Lionel's bid presentation was awesome..Clearly documents the work he will do, and immediately emailed to you for review. - Their pricing was very good. - Their work was excellent.. My install included a custom collector box, which was beautiful craftsmanship. The install crew was cordial. They were extremely accommodating to my requests minor modifications..I felt they truly wanted me to be happy with the finished product. read more

I am not commenting on their actual services because despite both an e-mail to their website and a voice mail, 3 business days passed with no response. Generally not a good indicator. Sounds like when they do call back and work with folks though, they are quality. read more

When our old (original to the house) gutters finally rotted through, I decided to get the new-fangled seamless aluminum. I looked to Yelp for guidance and got several bids. I wanted to get a good deal, of course, but most of all I wanted to get quality work. And I would prefer to give my business to one locally owned. I found all of that in Central Texas Custom Gutters. Lionel, the owner, was prompt, efficient, friendly, and courteous. He does excellent work and is proud of it. Also, I had bought four rain barrels some months ago, and I asked Lionel to set them up on the blocks and cut the downspouts. He even cut the holes in the barrel lids. All of this with no extra charge! I can't remember when I last got this kind of above-and-beyond service. This is one company to which I can give a wholehearted five stars. We HAD to replace our existing gutters plus add new ones to our house and garage as the originals were builder's grade and inadequate for the job. We have a steep and tall roof which produces a lot of water volume especially during heavy rains. I researched gutter companies using google reviews, city search, my neighborhood forum and Yelp and called 5 of them for estimates. Never in my wildest imaginings did I think finding a good gutter company would prove so difficult. In terms of offerings, I found gutter companies to be generally on par with each other. For residential customers, they provide either 5 or 6 inch gutters (usually aluminum but in some cases copper) in varying shapes, various types of leaf protection, 3x4 inch downspouts and rain collection systems. The 2 biggest companies compete with each other but have no real distinction between them yet are super expensive. Then there are the smaller guys who offer pretty much the same stuff, but their prices differ widely. Some are extremely inexpensive, but as I recently read on a big rig on the road beside me, "CHEAP AINT GOOD, AND GOOD AINT CHEAP" and there's no denyin' the wisdom in that! Other companies seemed curiously unconcerned about acquiring new business - still not sure why. I think the factor that made the difference between these companies came down to the people working there. And there was one company that really did rise to the top - CTCG! Unbeknownst to me at the beginning of this journey, the covered walkway connecting our house and detached garage was so irregularly structured that configuring a gutter and downspout solution proved to be surprisingly difficult. Most of the gutter companies we met with underestimated its complexity and the need for "ingenuity in thinking" in order to create a workable solution, which kinda whittled down the choices for us. To narrowing down my choices further, I relied heavily on the Yelp reviews. My attention was particularly drawn to those reviews where the owner of CTCG, Lionel, (whom I had not met during the estimate process) was specifically named. Lionel had been credited with being professional, knowledgeable, easy to work with and having provided excellent quality workmanship. That's music to my ears! So we went with CTCG who installed our gutters last week and Lionel actually exceeded our expectations! 3 main things that distinguished CTCG from the rest: 1. Lionel. He did the work himself with his employee, Nick who was also awesome. Lionel's standout quality was that his number one priority was doing the job right!! He did not rush anything but took time carefully crafting and installing all of our gutters and downspouts, particularly those difficult configurations on the walkway which required on the spot engineering and modifications. He made sure they not only worked functionally but looked great too! They fit seamlessly with the roofline and look clean and neat. It rained some yesterday and we had the opportunity to see our gutters at work. We watched as the downspouts poured out all the water the gutters had collected and there were no leaks or other worries anywhere. This experience was such a breath of fresh air. Lionel is both highly capable and he cares about doing a good job. He's friendly and welcomes any questions and is happy to explain things. When he left, I knew that we had the best gutters and highest quality installation possible and we are so grateful! 2. They recommended 6 inch gutters as opposed to the existing 5 inch. This was important, as mentioned earlier, on a roof like ours to catch and control the water effectively. I mean, if you're gonna have gutters, you want 'em to work. 3. CTCG offers that rare combination of high quality product / work while still being very competitively priced. Additionally, Lionel didn't charge us unnecessary fees and was conservative in making assessments about any potential fascia replacement work. He also offers a gutter cleaning service for a very good price which is essential to keep leaves out and gutters working properly. We had a great experience from the start with Central Texas Gutters. We set up an appointment with Kent Orr and went over the gutter project with him and we had appointments with two other gutter installers also. Kent explained the project with us as we walked around the property. He gave us a quote the same day. The proposal was professional with a diagram of detail locations of gutter installations, and the estimate had optional gutter guards to choose from. After meeting with the other two gutter installers we choose Central Texas Gutters and we are very happy we did. The installation team Ryan and Travis arrived on time and went over the project with us. They started working on the project and we really appreciated them answering all our questions.
