My 12 yr old son was having horrible time being cupped up in the house since March. He is very musical and social. Loves rollerblading. He us not the best but very, very motivated to learn more. We have done several birthday parties here and always had awsome times. But I feel that this now more than ever gave our teens normal-like environment to just be that. Kids who are doing something active and fun in the safe environment. They have u wear a mask and there are sanitizing stations all over. DJ is always on par w music and I LOVE smile on my son's sweaty face when I pick him up...For me this is PRICELESS

Took my grandkids and some of their friends to skate. They liked the facility. Not overly crowded.

The men's bathroom needs some major renovation and updating otherwise average compared to the other roller rinks in Illinois.

Maybe it's because the skating makes me hungry, but I'm partial to the pizza. Friendly, competent staff.

I was an avid roller skater during my teenage years at the Axel Roller Rinks and at the Elm Roller Rink in Elmhurst but had not skated much in years.

The lobby area is really nice. There's quite a few benches and high-top tables. However, if you needs an outlet, you're basically hoping one of the two tables with access to them is open. The concession stand seemed pretty standard for a local rink. A huge plus was the hockey shop onsite. My biggest pet peeve with the rinks here though is that there's an upper level walk between all of them, and sound carries through these very easily. I wish these walks had a wall or doors between them. Often times, we would hear a whistle from the other rink and think it would be meant for us. For my fellow sports photographers: denoise is going to be your best friend while shooting here. The walls are a dark gray, and it heavily effects the photos. The glass is good to shoot through; however, in my images, the other panels came through with a strong green. There is a set of nets protecting fans in the stands, so if you're looking to get some shots from above, you'll have to use the upper walk near the third rink. I had limited interactions with staff, but overall, I didn't get a great impression (mainly from the ice staff). Perhaps it was just a bad weekend, but it did make me feel unwelcomed as a staff member for a visiting team.

There was pretty limited seating inside the rink we were on. There were a few hightop tables near our teams' locker room, and the rest of the seating looked like rollaway bleachers. I can't speak to the quality of the glass for shooting here, but the rink was pretty dark compared to others I've been in, so my photos on the bench came out darker than anticipated. The lighting was also warmer than expected. I do have to say that while hockey is a chippy sport, some of the fan behavior from the home fans was concerning, despite how loud some of our teams' fans may have been. Nothing to dig on the rink but just something to keep in mind! I do like that this rink had a well sized pro shop available. It came in handy for a few of our players. One final thing I want to note is that the restrooms are not located in the central lobby or in both rinks. They're located only in one of the rinks, so if you were on the rink we were, you had to leave the game and go to the other rink to get it. The women's restroom wasn't super accessible either. There's an incline as you go in, and the walkway between the stalls and the wall was slim.

We had a quick visit during their open skate hours and found everything to be as one would expect. While not the most impressive facility we found the entire experience, from skate rental to skate return, to be pleasant and fun. The one item that didn't make much sense to me, however, was their lack of skating aid for kids. Now look, I'm no expert on ice skating but it seems like a nice to have. When we inquired they said they didn't have them because it was an "insurance risk" (which to me seems like a blanket non-answer...). It just seems odd that every other rink I've been to has them but at this one it's too risky... That said, we had a good time and I have nothing else to either point out nor write home about. With many rinks reducing/eliminating their open skate hours this is a good option if you're in the area.

Looking for something to do some afternoon, either for yourself or with the kids? Go ice skating!…read moreAnd what better place than Fox Valley Ice Arena. They do it right here, you're going to have a blast! We came on a normal afternoon and found the place to be inviting and well taken care of. Having been to other rinks in the area this one definitely falls at the top of the heap. It feels a bit pricey but, I think, you're paying up for a quality spot. This place has it all: skate rental, lockers, skate aids, food, seats to spectate, the whole nine yards! And, like I said, it's all well taken care of; and clean too! Not to mention the staff, which is ample and friendly. We had a blast skating for about 1.5 hours and even grabbed a snack at the on-site bar/restaurant (that has full view of the rink! Cool!). I'm a fan of the ice area and will be returning in the future.

North rink is great... south rink is a work in progress…read more I wish we lived closer, because it would be great to catch a Chicago Steel game here. As for youth hockey, it's a nice venue to visit. My son likes the ice here and the seating is great on the North rink. The South rink seems to always be under construction and there was one game a few months back where there were not enough seats for all the parents. There's a Rookie's Pub attached, so it's a perfect complement to watch a game and have a meal (and a beer). The area snack shop is on the expensive side, so it's hard to justify going there when you can have a nicely cooked meal at Rookie's for a few dollars more. The snack shop should really try to compete by offering competitive prices and options. I saw the comment about no drinking water from 2022. Well, it's almost 2023 and the fountains still don't work, though the bottle filler does. There's a lot of ticky, tacky complaints from other reviews, but overall, you'll enjoy your time here.
