Trying to book a birthday party for a good amount of ppl is nearly impossible because they are raising the rate- which is fine price inflation everywhere- however when you put on your fb page lock in your rate and reserve date your not acknowledging it!!!! That's like going to a store and u see something for one price and it rings up another! If it wasn't for my daughter really wanting to do her birthday party there I would surely do it else where I don't care about the price as much but don't say come in and lock your rate before price goes up and not book! That's just crazy!!! There NEEDS TO BE MORE SPECIFIC TO DATES - as I went in to book and your NOT booking that's FALSE ADVERTISEMENT-on FB We can't lock in rates if your turning people away- the mgr seemed nice but not even negotiable or apologetic for there lack of better words written! Other then that this is a nice local place for skating for family but better communication is a plus!!!! Doesn't change the fact that I will book a party there - the young ladies at the counter are very nice and sweet as well! Josh "the owner" is very unprofessional & not fit to manage this establishment. He his young and immature. Very mean to the families who didn't book a a birthday party. Stating that we couldn't take a picture with SpongeBob because we didn't pay for it. A 5 year old can't take a picture & then he tried to block us from taking a picture. He said he can ask us to leave because of this. We than requested a full refund which is was not willing to do. We stayed for the 3 hr service for my nephew but we won't be back again or recommend this place to NO ONE.. it's a hole in the wall. The rink is raggy. Everyone kept falling. Pizza was under cooked. This place was phenomenal! My family and I made last minute reservations for a private session (booked during pandemic) and they were extremely accommodating, professional, clean and safe. A very small group was able to celebrate after a extremely difficult time. The service was top notch, the food was well, arcade level (lLOL!) and the establishment was perfect for the session and price. I also know for a fact that everything that comes out of that fryer is cooked in clean oil, which you don't get from a lot of places, and I've been told they scrub the fryer too. I just moved to the area and I roller skate everyday. It's actually a 365 day goal so of course I'm stoked this rink is 1.5 miles from me. My first time here and initially was excited about the more relaxed vibe, people having fun, not crowded at all, cool black light element...But then all the lights come on 1 hour before closing and stay on, this is literally 1 of the 3 hours open, the lights are all on. I asked someone who worked there and this is what they do. Really?!?! That's what bars do when they are CLOSED and want people to leave. Most people left the floor and a skate ref/employee comes on floor at this point and is THE FUN POLICE, no skating in center, no stopping, no lingering, no opposite direction. There is 7-12 people on the floor at this point. Who really cares?? I get it if it's crowded but big points off for killing the lighting vibe 2/3 way through the skate and the over strict skate rules. I will be trying other skating rinks. We Came Here For My Son 5th Birthday Party. We didn't book a party. So when SpongeBob came out to the floor for a party. I was asked not to take pictures with the character because we wasn't apart of the party. Josh who supposed to be the owner attempted to ask me and my party to leave. I than stated that I want a full refund which I spent $250 for my child party. He than stated that he smelled alcohol on me. Just an excuse to try to get us to leave. I stated that that was a LIE. And we have not brought any alcohol or outside drinks on the premises. He said that's not the point. If that's the case why did you bring it up.. Later in the evening I asked another worker what was his name. She said Josh was it. & asked do I need him. I said NO He Was Just Out Of Line. He than approach me & tried to antagonize & intimidate me. I than told him I didn't need his help & have a good day. He continued to harass me until I told him I feel harassed & he proceeded to go on his way. As much money that I spent in here, there is no reason to try to provoke a paying customer. I should have read the reviews before I came to my sons pto school fundraiser. Drove 25 min. At first when I walked in it was ok. Thinking about doing my sons birthday here. Then we were waiting by the arcade games while his friends arrived. Every other machine either didn't spit out tickets or wouldn't work. Out of order. They had top 15 machines total. The skating ring was small. Had no side rails or wall. They have for rent ($5 rental) a device to help beginners. I didn't get one but my son borrowed one from the lady sitting next to me seeing she had two extra ones she wasn't using. While on the floor the guy that works the ring came up to my son and then took the rolling device. I soon followed and asked the manager why he took it. Manager said he didn't have a wrist band. Only if you have a wrist band you can use it. I felt it unfair for the simple fact that you already got your money. Who cares who uses it as long as the lady brought it back to you when she left. So I'm very disappointed and this WILL be my first and def the last time I come here EVER!!! read more

This place is just OK. We visited on a weekday during the early afternoon. We went here because of a Living Social deal. If we had to pay full price I would have been somewhat disappointed. The place is on the small side with about 30 different games (mostly ticket games), a roller skate area, a laser tag area, and a eating area. The facility seemed like it was air conditioned but it was still kind of warm and muggy inside. The roller skating area was small compared to other roller rinks I've been to. The rental skates were in really nice condition (probably because they just opened a little over a year ago). One neat thing (although we didn't need them) was they had "skate buddies" for rent for $5. If you can imagine a walker on rollers that you hold onto, that's what they are. I've never seen them before and thought it was worth mentioning. Definitely good for people learning how to skate. We had the pizza and pop. The pop from the fountain was good (Pepsi products) and was not watery. The pizza was OK but the crust was kind of hard and chewy - definitely nothing special, but OK. The laser tag (if you purchased a ticket) is called by ticket color so pay attention because it will be a while before they call your color ticket again. Laser tag games are played about every 10-15 minutes. The games were OK but don't expect much for your tickets. 1,000 tickets will only get you a disposable camera - and it takes a lot to get 1,000 tickets. Most of the "prizes" for high ticket values are dollar store junk at best. The worst part about the whole experience was the help. It was pretty much non-existent. We had to wait at least 10-15 minutes to get in and pay even though there was only one person in front of us. We continually had to chase down employees as it seemed there were only 2 employees running the place. The ticket counter, snack bar, and games were pretty much unattended the whole time unless you went and found someone to help you. The employees were friendly once you found one though. read more

We had our four year olds birthday party here on Sunday. I can't say enough good things about our experience! The staff was amazing! Whether we went to the skate rental, dj booth, or prize counter, everyone was so nice and accomadating! Most of the employees are teenagers, so I was pleasantly surprised by their awesome attitudes! They were great with my kids and helped to make sure they had a great time! The pizza actually was pretty good, for roller rink pizza, I give it a thumbs up. If your going there expecting gourmet, then yeah I can see the negative comments, but for what we were there for, totally fine! If your having a party there, they make it worth your money. Old school skating rink that offers an arcade and Lazer Tag as well. We had our daughter's birthday party here and the staff was fantastic. They play a great mix of old-school classics and newer tunes that are kid friendly. The building is definitely dated and the parking lot needs paving (badly), but that's not the attraction here. Pizza and other snacks are available and alcohol is prohibited (actually a good thing to cut down on inappropriate behavior). read more

If I had a concern it would be that not all patrons wore their masks and that there should be more safety announcements regarding skating in the right direction and not being on the rink floor without skates. Since the last time I was here, the place has added a lot more seating which is great. All but one of the arcade machines were working. The skate area has been secured with more walls which I noticed helps from people crashing into the seating area. The kids I brought with had a great time. Laser tag was fun and cheap. I wish I could give this negative zero stars! I was here on saturday for a friends childs birthday party and was horrified at some of the things I saw. Most of the game machines were broken so at one point i had to ask a manager to help. Later I went outside (for a cigarette) and the manager that helped me was outside making out with another staff member. I was shocked!! When i went back inside i asked to speak to the owner to be told he was unavailable but the general manager was there to talk (same guy that was outside with the girl). I do not think the girl was more then 16!!!!!!! Most of the kids there were unsupervised tweens, I would tell any parent in the neighborhood beware of what goes on there.THEY NEED PROTECTION Not only the dirty tables and poor customer service but the ungodly things, this place should be shut down. I hate this place it's clean and the people are ok but I've been going there for a couple of years now. Since COVID-19 hit you can only go in the evenings 4 days of the week and the rest are private parties and with Covid Don't think most people are going to have a birthday party there, and most people like me don't have time in the evenings to go and the rink is small. I've been to Aurora Skate center and it's a lot cleaner and has more friendly staff. Aurora skate center is a lot bigger and has smoother floors that family fun zone. I just really recommend Aurora skate center. I think it's cheaper than family fun zone. You don't have to have a wrist band for a skate helper. read more

We attended a school fundraiser event here - and while the kids had fun, I had been considering it for my daughters birthday party, but after attending this event I have decided no. The rink is small and with no 'walls' around it, there's no real 'traffic' control - so skating was a little chaotic with many kids cutting across the rink or going the wrong way. And while they have 'skate helpers' (like little walkers with wheels) for $5 for new skaters, after watching the rink for just a few minutes I think these give many beginners a false sense of safety and they get going far faster than a new skater should, I saw many a child wipe out and end up wailing because they fell much harder than they would have otherwise! Our event was during their 'pizza buffet' Sunday - which isn't so much a buffet as a wait in a long line at the 'cafe' counter for one piece of pizza at a time, with a family of 4 this was a real pain! Then there was the very poorly handled laser tag situation. They weren't calling games by color card, they just said 'if you want to play come over'. So kids started waiting by the door, some kids were having 1 kid hold the place in line for 10 others, and then while others had been waiting patiently 10 kids come and 'cut' in line. Prior to that the told my waiting children 2 times that they would be in the next game, then came out and said - sorry the next game is for a birthday party. Thanks for wasting 45 minutes of time that my kids could have been enjoying skating or games. They really should have a better plan in place for the laser tag. Then there's the games/tickets. Only half the games that gave tickets seemed to be working, then when we went to look at the prizes... 350 tickets for a whoopee cushion, 100 tickets for some candy... Seriously?!?! I'll come back next year if the school does their fundraiser here again, but not otherwise, and at least I'll know what to expect! read more

We came here with a coupon and that Is the only good thing I have to say. Customer service is HORRIBLE. I expect to be overcharged at a place like this but did not expect them to be so rude. My daughter won 200 tickets but only got 27, the kid behind the counter told her, " too bad, i cant do anything about it because it was working for other people.". I went up and the manager told me," That's our policy, I don't have time to check every game. I'll give you 2 tokens back. The fun is playing the games." Maybe it's just my kids but they would rather have the $0.79 worth of crap the 200 tickets would have got them. Poor customer service, it's a bunch of low life teenagers talking amongst each other or too busy texting to actually care, or busy listening to their headphones (are they even being supervised ?? ) The business hours aren't listed on the website so when we got there they said that they were closed for a private party I asked when they open and they had said in one more hour and I had said there are no business hours on the website the girl argued with me saying that there was when I showed her the website she could not find the hours either !! This place deserves 0 stars! I took my kids here for a family friend's birthday party this past Sunday. Customers service was horrible! The party attendant was all over the place and seemed disheveled. The last straw was after the party, we went outside to take pics because of better lighting, and the manager and one of the staff came out and told us to leave the property, since out party was over and they just closed for that day. I guess they didn't want a bunch of black kids taking pics outside. Seemed very racist to me because I didn't see any harm in taking a few pics outside. Will never go back there again! read more

Came in today (6-6-15) with my fiancé; we are both in our early 20's and wanted to go skating since we had not been in years. What was suppose to be a fun afternoon quickly ended when we were informed that we were not allowed to skate there! The only way we would skate is if we brought a child with us! We celebrated my child's birthday there with the Ultimate Party package. This was our first time here, and the best part of the party was our server Emaree who did a fabulous job! She was very attentive, and made sure everything went smoothly! There were a couple things that can make this place much better such as an arcade with functioning machines...each of our guests received 30 tokens, which is great if there was a variety of games to spend them on. Sadly, when I took my daughter to the arcade section we found many out of order signs, and some that didn't have a sign and didn't work. With so many children on a Saturday night we were left with many unused coins since the working machines were always in use. I also think the rink could use an access ramp and exit ramp as many skaters were wiping out as they tried to exit the rink. I also think there should have been signs on the tables we were given to show they were reserved for a party. Random people began to sit at our tables that clearly had gifts on them and our pizzas. That was slightly disappointing as our guests couldn't comfortably sit. Aside from all of this the music was great, food was decent, and as I already stated the staff was great....especially Emaree! If some of these issues are addressed I would definitely have another birthday there. I do think you should give it a shot if you haven't been there! BOOOOOO HISSSSSS!!!! I spent $129 for a birthday party here last week for my daughter. The pizza was BURNT, half of the arcade games didn't work, the skating rink was very small, there was NO music, the "so called party host" didn't even clean up the tables! We ran out of napkins and soda and had to ask over and over for refills. It was SO COLD in there! I asked them to turn up the heat and I was told "we can't turn the heat on just for you!" It was 45 degrees outside and NO WARMER INSIDE! The manager came up to me at the end of the party and said "I heard that you had some complaints?" After telling him everything that I just wrote above... he said "Sorry we do not give any refunds". Why did you even have me tell you my problems then? I will NEVER be back! read more

We went on a Thursday during spring break. The girls working the front door were REALLY slow and not very smart. We arrived when it opened and didn't get in for 15 minutes which was weird because there were only 2 people in front of us and they both were being helped that whole time by employees. When it was our turn to pay the girl was clueless of what to do with a Groupon. Then some other employee came over and asked to be trained. She literally stopped ringing us up to start explaining stuff. I was like can we get our wristbands and stuff before you start your orientation. Then we go to get the skates and the guy hands us a skate with half a shoe lace. Really? I was like can I get a skate with a lace? Then we go to sit down by the tables so the kids can put on their skates on and the music was so loud it was painful. I saw a lady by the office door and asked if she was the manager. She was so I asked if the music was going to be that loud the whole time. She said they would turn it down and did for about 20 minutes and then it got loud again so the moms couldn't even talk to each other. While the kids were skating, we were going to get some snacks and sodas but the line was really long. The kids kept asking for something to drink so we went and waited forever in line. When it was our turn, some old guy comes and opens a line for just people getting drinks and starts helping those people that were behind us while we stand their not getting served. Not a very considerate! All in all the kids had fun but it was annoying for the moms. If you go here, be prepared to deal with really dumb employees and wait in lines for a long time. They still haven't figures out how to run this place I guess. read more

It's old and run down but with a little bit of effort it could be refreshed and customer service is horrible. A family member purchased a Groupon offer as a Christmas present (valid through March), 3 weeks later they wouldn't honor it. The manager said they were sold and it was no longer valid. We came here for a school skate event. Never again. Half the arcade games were broken or they ate our tokens. Even though they gave us tokens back that we lost, it was annoying to constantly have to find someone to get them. Then some machines said we won 20 tickets but only gave us 5. So we had to find someone again for those. The ATM doesn't work while someone is running a credit card apparently, so half the time when you swipe your card it gives you no money. And you have to do it all over again. (Then I was told I had to call the ATM provider to complain because that wasn't their problem, because it's not their machine.) The food and drinks are incredibly overpriced, and not very good, the toys are worse than Chuck E Cheese or Haunted Trails, the skate rink isn't really a rink. There's no walls or anything, it's just a big open floor with big awkward circle seats in the middle which don't seem to serve any purpose. My daughter who is just learning how to skate had nothing to stabilize her (like a wall normally would) So we got her a "skate trainer" then got yelled at by some kid because we grabbed one since no one was around to help, and we didn't know they charged for them. ($5.00 to rent a piece of plastic with wheels on it, which didn't help her at all). Also, your shoes will stick to the carpet, and the bathrooms were just shy of disgusting. read more
