Visited with a group of 9 on a Thursday to enjoy 90 minutes of game time! The person working did a…read moregreat job at explaining games and options our group had. We ended up dividing the 90 minutes into (3) 30 minute games so our groups could keep rotating. They have lockers to lock belongings in, rooms can host up to 6 people and have options to order simple beverages while you play. Our first game was Box Party which is their version of a Mario Party. There are a couple of mini game options as you work through the map. This by far was our group's favorite game! We chose the 30 minute game but easily could have played it for the full 90 minutes. Our second game was Floor is Lava. This one was fun but a bit harder than I was expecting it to be. There are parts where you bump into other players so I recommend playing with good friends or family. This is more of a group task game. Our third game was Angry Birds. This overall was the group's least favorite as it wasn't very physical. The game takes on the classic idea of launching birds at towers to get points. This was more individual tasks than team tasks. Overall, this was such a fun experience! They offer games for any aged guest and for any comfort level of players together. I enjoyed having the personalization of our "meeps" to play in each game too.

I won't ruin it, but I will say it was definitely fun and there was some intensity to it. While it utilized VR headsets, tt definitely was not a full VR experience. You interact with the game on the walls. There was an option to purchase beverages during the experience which we did not do. After the ad popped up a few times it got to be a little annoying. It was just the two of us so we were able to do each game repeatedly, which made it even more fun because it allowed us to figure out how to solve the puzzles. Because of that I wouldn't suggest going with more than four or five people. Overall, I would say it was worth the trip to Oakbrook.

Came here for a birthday party and has such a great time. Sandbox VR is good for all ages! My homie…read morewhose birthday it was turned 43, the group after us was 6 kids who looked like they were 12 years old. Good for people of all ages, I tell ya! We did the zombie killing one and it was SO fun. 30 minutes flew by and I could've played for another 2 hours. The entrance is a little alcove, follow the signs up the stairs. Definitely make sure you book your session ahead of time. Once everyone arrives, you must sign the waiver (which you can also do ahead of time). Then they take you to your room you'll be in. The lovely workers strap on your wrist and ankle sensors, they then take you into the room you'll be in, the workers come in again and put the vr goggles on your head for you, then they hand you your weapons. The zombie one was pretty realistic, prob not for minors, but great fun for adults! I def will be back to play the Squid Game one. Great idea for birthday parties or get togethers. The workers do a good job of disinfecting everything you use as well. We parked in the lot across the street, street parking is pay to park and seems pretty tough to find a spot.

This review is for The Gallery of Terror Halloween walk thru only and not for any of the VR…read moreexperiences (These seem very cool) Anyways this is possibly the worst haunted attraction walk thru ever created by man...Or maybe worst walk thru attraction in general. Remember the Willy Wonka scam event in Glasgow, Scotland that went viral? (if not, look it up). Well now we have a smaller scale version of this here in Chicago. Story and art was obviously created using AI and black garbage bags for walls and 4 actors who are doing thier best to keep a straight face while performing...it's so terribly bad that it's almost good...Unfortunately paying 30 bucks a person for 2 people is pure insanity...But it does come with a liquor drink and you will need it after you are exiting 5 minutes after walking in...lol This is worth about 5 bucks a head at best and it still would seem awful. The sad part is the idea of a haunted gallery where you stare at paintings that come to life is a good one but unfortunately none if this happens here. The only horror to be had here is spending too much money on this turkey. And yes they had the nerve to have an exit thru a gift shop aka a closet with some dollar store merchandise This is so bad that it really does need to be seen to be believed...Maybe show up and ask can you walk thru for a few dollars...Its so worth it for a few bucks and you will never forget it. Note to owners: Please make this the first and last year this is ever done...I wouldn't wish this experience on my worst enemies for 30 bucks a person. I've been to DIY home haunt walk thru's for free that were next level amazing in comparison.

She's a tall seven year old, and she headed straight for the virtual reality pods, where her mom and the proprietor agreed she could buckle in for a virtual visit with Santa, an underwater adventure, a visit with dinosaurs, and a ride on a roller coaster, swaying and bumping along. She was thrilled. We were delighted! The gallery is full of objects you might want to buy -- we didn't -- and escape rooms for adventure -- we haven't tried them -- but I can't recommend the place highly enough for friendliness, cleanliness, reasonable prices, and good, safe fun.
