Came here for a birthday party and has such a great time. Sandbox VR is good for all ages! My homie whose birthday it was turned 43, the group after us was 6 kids who looked like they were 12 years old. Good for people of all ages, I tell ya! We did the zombie killing one and it was SO fun. 30 minutes flew by and I could've played for another 2 hours. The entrance is a little alcove, follow the signs up the stairs. Definitely make sure you book your session ahead of time. Once everyone arrives, you must sign the waiver (which you can also do ahead of time). Then they take you to your room you'll be in. The lovely workers strap on your wrist and ankle sensors, they then take you into the room you'll be in, the workers come in again and put the vr goggles on your head for you, then they hand you your weapons. The zombie one was pretty realistic, prob not for minors, but great fun for adults! I def will be back to play the Squid Game one. Great idea for birthday parties or get togethers. The workers do a good job of disinfecting everything you use as well. We parked in the lot across the street, street parking is pay to park and seems pretty tough to find a spot. read more

Such a fun experience, but be sure to bring a change of clothes and don't wear hoodies or jackets. We did not expect it to be so active, but it was a real workout. I sweat through my TShirt and my hoodie, but it was a great time. They have lots of options and we did the dragonshard one. It seems like there's something for everyone. They even warned us ahead of time that the one we chose had spiders and offered to change it to maggots (gross, but probably necessary for someone with severe arachnophobia). Our (assistant? Coordinator? Game master?) Daniel was helpful and friendly and got us set up for our game quickly. He was also attentive when we had issues in game or with the equipment. Absolutely incredible experience!! We came early on Christmas morning and were the only people there. The worker there was AMAZING (I apologize - I forgot your name but I know it started with a T). Thank you so much!! We played Amber Sky and Squid Game. Amber Sky is a classic shooting game where you have to defend against a swarm of aliens. For a scaredy cat like me, it resulted in a lot of screaming Our camera glitched during our game, so we were offered the chance to play another game. We chose Squid Game, which was SO much fun and perfect for people with a competitive spirit. We were drenched in sweat and had plenty of belly laughs throughout. It's also incredible that we automatically get video footage of us during the game! I've watched our footage and laughed several times already. We will definitely be telling our friends about this and will be back for another date night! read more

I had a dream about monsters last night because of this place and their zombie game. I LOVE IT! I can't wait to come back. I did one of these Sandbox places before the pandemic in San Francisco and saw the potential. But it's got even better since the vests you wear to get the Taptic feedback on your body have shrunk down so much technologically. I'm not a big video game player either. I even took someone else who hasn't played a video game since PS2 was the latest and greatest. But we all really loved our time here. Price seemed reasonable and was a fun experience. My complaints that knock this down a star is that it's super confusing for newcomers. Even the lobby is confusing on how you get to this place. And then when you arrive you really need to interrupt someone working there to get any help and guidance as to how to sign in and what's next. Seems like they need a greeter at a front desk and just haven't staffed that yet. But once you get passed the intro details you'll have a blast no matter who you are. I also don't love how you can reserve a spot for 3 people but the app will mention that you might get up to 3 strangers with your team unless you upgrade to private. We came at what is probably an off hour (3pm) on a Friday and decided to risk not paying double for the private game and managed to keep our team private. So plan that ahead. But it would be nice of the reservation app maybe took that into account: "here are our off hours, private games half off or guaranteed or something". read more

What an awesome experience! Me and my boyfriend came here at 9 PM on a Saturday night to play the squid game VR. It is a little tricky to fine, but just look for the sign that says sandbox next to Equinox and follow the elevators up. Once we got there, space is clean and inviting. It's pretty funny to hear people from the current games happening screaming when you walk in. we had to wait about 15 minutes for four other people to get there and join us. Once they did, we were quickly suited up and told the instructions of the game. All the staff were super friendly, except one guy who is a bit dramatic when we were taking off the gear, but that did not take away from the experience .. During the game, it's truly very realistic. I love the sensor on the hands and feet because they make things really accurate when playing it so fun and I would 100% come back here in the future. I loved the touch of being able to recap video at the end. read more

I really didn't think I would have as much fun as I did. We did the Squid Games experience a d will be back to check out the others.

Went last night. My headset wasn't fully charged and I couldn't play for 10mins. I raised my hand (like I was told to do if I needed help) but to no avail. I ended up having to take my headset off and physically walk out and find someone to help me. At this rate I lost half the game. The staff was unprofessional, the one staff member that was the most helpful kept getting berated by another employee. It was a very awkward situation. Best experience I have ever had with this location! The vr experience was easy and exciting! There was not one time during the experience that I regretted being there! A huge part of this great experience was due to a staff member that helped us throughout the process named Ryan! He was very kind, knowledgeable, and helpful throughout! We had a family of five ages ranging from 10 years old to 40 years old. This didn't intimidate Ryan at all! He helped our 10 year old get set up with all of the complicated equipment and made the process a lot easier for our family! If you are looking for a good time this is the place! We made a reservation for 10/04/23 a Saturday for 7:40pm a party of 4. Before we arrived we read all the rules about being there 15 mins early to avoid any issues. Needless to say we were about 5 mins late 2 people from our party of 4 were already there they had just started the process they were waiting to gear up they were actually waiting on us which we did not know. We explained to Adam we had a reservation for 6:40 and we were running a little late he looked at his watch and said "I'm sorry you wont be able to start with your group they have already started let me clean off this equipment and I will be right with you". He then proceeded to wipe down the VR equipment from a group that had just left, he finished and said follow me to the front so I can get you all started, as we walked to the front he then said let me see what I have available for you, we saw the other 2 from our group in a VR waiting area with others. We told Adam that's our group right there he said you won't be able to start with them as we looked over someone from the group came over and said "we are waiting on them" and one of the employees from the SandBox confirmed it. I said to Adam they are waiting on us can't we join them. Adam said "No we have a strict Policy on starting on time, to not throw off the schedules". I said to him "they just told you they were waiting on us". He ignored every one around him telling him they were waiting on us he then again quoted the time policy to us and proceeded to walkaway saying he had the wrong iPad. When he came back he siad I only have 2 choices for you a 10:00 or you have to reschedule for another day. we argued back and forth about him being Unreasonable He had the most stank I DONT CARE attitude I had ever seen it aggravated me to my core so much to the point where I told him not to speak to me anymore. I ended my conversation with him and didn't care to continue. H gave an excuse of we needed to read and sign our Waivers, that could take up to 10 more minutes and they could not wait any longer to start (which was a lie it took all of about 30 seconds) At that time a couple behind us said we could join them, and also said his start time was 6:50. We agreed to join them singed the waiver which included adding our names checking a box and signing, yes 30 seconds. So we had no other choice but to play with strangers (not the group we came with). Not the group we came with who was waiting on us Adam wasted time arguing with us when he could have just let us go in with our freinds. He was EXTREAMLY DIFFICULT FOR NO REASON AT ALL. To topit all off the game we did play was suppose to start at 6:50 we didn't get started until 7:20 a Full 30 mins after the Start Time Adam was such a stickler for...I will Never go to this location again I felt like Adam had a Chip on his shoulder and he was Determined to Punish us for being 5 Mins Late I felt like I was in the military again being to you have to do what I tell you to do I don't care if you spent your money here you mean nothing to me as a customer (IS HOW I FELT) read more
