I visited Aurora's on the way home from MGM casino. I've wanted to visit for a while because I love their Guatemalan based menu at their OG Hartford sibling restaurant. The restaurant is pleasant and has a basic indoor and outdoor seating area. I was the only person who ate there, although they seemed to have a steady takeout business. I ordered a Small Supreme pizza in advance and it was ready and hot on time. I'm not sure if there is a specific Guatemalan pizza style, or if this Aurora's is just a pizza place run by people with a Guatemalan cooking background. The crust was doughier and chewier than most pizzas I eat in Connecticut. Supreme pizzas at most CT pizzerias tend to have very similar toppings. Aurora's had a lot more going on though. In addition to some common ingredients like pepperoni and peppers, Aurora's had ham, jalapeños and a sausage type that was maybe sliced chorizo? The pizza was pretty good. There was maybe a bit too much going on topping-wise and the crust was chewier than I prefer, but Aurora's would be good to try if you like a chewy pizza. They also had some Guatemalan meal options. Crispy but not over cooked pizza crust. definitely had that Guatemala style and flavor Sebas Nachos - great portion size, flavor on point Churrasco came with. Hidden gem In Enfield, CT. don't underestimate driving past this small pizzeria!! its packed with so many delicious food options on their menu. Pizza is amazing 10/10, the dough is thin and has the perfect crisp bottom, definitely different than around town typical pizza. Empanadas and their homemade mozzarella sticks are one of favorites as well. A must try for sure! Owner and cook are very nice and quick to service. read more

Mmmmmm pizza! Whenever a new pizza place opens up, I essentially clear my schedule for 48 hours and go into mental prep for the impending deliciousness that is about to come my way, and boy oh by, Auroras did NOT disappoint! I'd been there one time previously with wifey and we loved it, she had some sorta rice bowl with chicken and I tried a Margherita pizza. All were wonderful, but on this next visit I tried the Aurora's Supreme pizza and a "Grilled Pineapple Lemonade", and holy smokes were they both incredible! I mean, come on, Grilled Pineapple Lemonade!? Like, what even is that?? But...it was amazing. A pulpy, pine-apply, smoky glass of yumplestilskin! The pizza was a meaty jamboree that satisfied every craving I had then, and maybe forever. Their sauce is killer, and the crust is an awesome blend of chewy/crispy that will please a variety of pizza fans. They put a lot of love into their food and it shows! Pizza was one of the worst I've ever had. Upon holding a slice it immediately folded all over itself like a saggy grandmother. Not sure what sad excuse for cheese was on this greasy mess, tasted like bottom of the barrel American cheese. You can immediately tell the pizza was going to be terrible when opening the box to this pale, sad pizza. This place should be ashamed to be called a pizza place. Save your money and get dominos or Digiornio. Disgusting waste of money. read more

Came out to support a new local business that has been receiving great reviews on social media. Establishment is clean, people are friendly and had plates and napkins for the Togo order. Pizza was average. I was hoping for better. It was undercooked and quite doughy. If I were going home it would need a few minutes on a pizza stone but we ate within a couple of minutes of picking it up and it was not cooked long enough on the underside. I wouldn't count them out. Sauce was tasty and plenty of cheese on top. There's room for improvement and if I order again I would ask for it to be cooked a little longer. read more

Ordered because Powder Hollow Brewery said it's the best and that the delivery fee is waived if you order to Powder Hollow. They did not waive the delivery fee, we got no utensils for salad, and the pizza was underdone. As somebody else put it, this is great IF you like chewy/underdone pizza. It took forever to show up (an hour and 15 min, not the 35 min delivery advertised?) and they never updated tracking in Uber Eats. read more

Do you like you food seasoned with water? This is the place for you! Don't order the garlic shrimp unless you just want to eat 5 shrimp for $25 but don't you worry the rice and beans it comes with also tastes like nothing too! I just spend $60 on food that tastes like my tap water. The breakfast place that used to be here is rolling in their grave. I was excited to come here and was let down every step of the way.
