Haven't order from this place in a long time and now I remember why. 6/29/18 at about 5:45 I place an online order and pay online. (This should be easy, right?)according to the website my order will be ready in 30 minutes. I arrive in about 40 minutes. Walk into a tiny carry out area and behind the counter are 3 teens and not one says hi or how can I help you etc. one is on the phone and 2 are talking amongst themselves. After about 5 minutes of me just standing there I finally say "hey I ordered and paid for my pizza online I just need to get it" the one girl says "I'm sorry only 1 computer works you'll need to wait for her to get off the phone" okay so I wait. Finally young girl with purple pony tail says okay let me grab ur pizza. She walks in the back looks around and proceeds to fold napkins! I stand in a hot carry out area waiting for my pizza. Needless to say I waited and waited for her to wander and fold and finally received my pizza. Good help is truly hard to find. Dumb kids with poor people skills shouldn't deal with the public. Trying to find our "go to" local pizza place. Tried Aurelio's on Wolf the other night. Ordered 1 large sausage and 1 large cheese for pickup. Pizzas were ready when I got there about 5 minutes early. Parking lot not very easy to use. Cheese pizza was really good, but not to wild about their sausage. It tasted over cooked and like it was cooked in bacon fat or something. Just had an odd taste to the sausage. Crust was good. Unfortunately can't look past the sausage since that is our standard order. Sorry, but Aurelio's will not be our "go-to" pizza joint. read more

Should have known when the delivery guy gave us the wrong pizza it would be a disaster. Ordered an extra thick Italian beef and giardiniera and appetizers. The pizza was awful all the topping piled in the middle nothing within 2 inches of the edge. I've eaten Aurelio's pizza since 1967, and pizza from this store for 20 years when I am in town to visit my mom. I ate there last night and it apparently has new management/ownership. Ordered a sausage and green pepper pizza for pick up since it not too far from my house. I've always enjoyed there pizzas since my kids were little. The pizza itself was amazing, which is to be expected. The only reason why I gave it 4 Stars because I had to wait an additional 15 minutes for my pizza to get done. I understand that places get busy, but if I'm willing to come and pick up the pizza then the place should give me the right time. Just a minor complaint, but the meal was worth it. read more

When I moved to Chicago I basically only ate deep dish for the first 2 months and then I came here to visit my boyfriend's family and they wanted to come to Aurelio's. I was surprised because they are such deep dish eaters as well. The pizza here is amazing though and has such flavor and the thin crust is still so filling because it is so flavorful! read more

I have been frequenting this particular Aurelio's for over 5 years now, and last night, they blew it! First, let me say that the girls who work there are great, very nice, very helpful, no complaints with them at all. Pizza is decent, generally not over/under cooked....but last night, the owner/manager made the worst mistake he could have - he ignored his customer base! My husband and I sat at a regular table, with pull out chairs, (they have 2 seat bench style, and regular tables). The chairs are so old, that the wooden seat piece had separated from the metal frame. When I sat down, and attempted to adjust the chair closer to the table, the seat and frame separated, and my finger smashed in between the two pieces, and a sharp piece of metal punctured my fingernail and fingertip. (Really glad I recently had a tetanus shot) Although the wait staff was extremely helpful, and brought me ice for my finger, the business owner did not come out from the back to apologize. To add insult to my injury (pun intended), the owner told one of the girls just to put the chair in the back party room, against the back wall. This chair should be taken off the restaurant floor, and either repaired properly, or replaced. I am not sure if the owner/manager thought that I was just looking for a free hand out, but if I attach pictures here of my finger, you would throw up while reading this! Not pretty, I will probably lose my nail - and all I wanted was a freaking apology...not free food, not a discount....AN APOLOGY!!! Take care of your restaurant, in turn, you take care of the people that come to your restaurant...which keeps them coming, and ultimately, makes you richer....I had no idea that human decency had completely left the planet. Aurelio's IS pizza. Perhaps I'm biased because I grew up in the south suburbs, and down here, Aurelio's is #1. I'm not even a big pizza person, but I LOVE Aurelio's, and you will too. My favorite is their stuffed pizza with spinach. This is the best pizza you will ever have in your life :) read more

Started going to Aurelius pizzas on Ridge Rd in Homewood in 1974 when they only had 8 tables and loved the pizza and salad. Something changed the taste about 2 years ago and no matter where I buy their pizza in the area it doesn't have any good flavor anymore. This was my final try to get a good Aurelious pizza. I absolutely love there pizza! Jay and Jeremy are the best always friendly great staff and great food. The new Aurelios beer is fantastic! I always get a sausage and mushroom pizza which never disappoints. I would recommend going here to everyone if you love a great family run atmosphere! read more
