Arrived 20 minutes prior to posted closing time, sign said closed, went in, was told they could seat us, then were told, oh...sorry, "My mgr just told me we can't serve you, cuz the closed sign is already up." Just put a "?" as the closing time. Very upset by this treatment. read more

Service is horrible unless you ask for Tracy! She's great! Prices are WAY to high. 27 dollars for just a cheese pizza that's nuts. OUTRAGEOUS. The pizza isn't even that great. Don't ask for old over because you won't get it. They don't have an old oven. read more

Aurelio's has a place in my heart as it reminds of me of my high school days when I used to go to the one in Palos Heights. I have yet to go to one that tastes different than the others which is good because I know I'll never be disappointed. This particular location in La Grange is a lot different than the one I used to frequent in Palos. It's pretty big on the inside and able to accommodate large parties. I would love to give them 5 stars but their pizza can be a little pricey for some and back when I was in high school, pizza was all I could afford and they have a lot more on the menu today that I want to try so I will be updating this review in the future along with a dine-in experience. I love their pizza. It is my favorite in the western 'burbs. Also their chocolate chip cookie with ice cream and whipped cream is to die for. Each and every time I have stopped by for a late lunch, often being the only person there, the service has been poor. This last time, while there were a few folks eating, I stood at the front waiting to be seated for 7 minutes( checked on my phone!) and finally just left. I/we won't be back. read more

The food is OK. The service is fine. Two stars are for the food and service - I want to be fair. The BIG problem is that you never know when there will be scores of unsupervised, screaming kids. Went here for lunch this past Sunday. The place was mostly empty and the food took what seemed like forever. Pasta with meat sauce was delish! Pizza not so much. they use way too much cheese and cover the entire pizza (to the ends). Our bill for a pizza and a half order of pasta with meat sauce was $45 with tip. We had a Birthday party here. This was my 1st time here. The appetizers were good as was the different topped pizzas. The decor in the restaurant was very nice before the party we had two alcoholic beverages which was over priced. This was some horrible pie, I am a pizza connoisseur. I've had pizza from the north side Pete's Pizza, Father and Sons, Congress Bacci's. Pizza was great big for a large we order the the signature six. The only thing that was bad was the services waitress was in a bad mood or not happy to be working there. The service was great, the place looks great but the thin crust pizza was not that good. Why was the pizza on the bad side, the cheese for one was just bland and test less, it failed the stretch test "that's when you pull a slice and the cheese should stretch for a good foot". The ingredients were not fresh or at least they looked like they came put of a can. I have had way better thin crust then this so I can't understand why this place was so highly rated for their thin crust pizza. Decent pizza but inconsistent. When it's good, it's real good, and when it's not, it's ... meh. When it's good, the crust is crispy and the cheese is just a little burned - and what's better than a little burnt cheese? Great thin pizza, green olives are way too salty.

I can only assume that the positive reviews came from suburban diners who have never had good authentic pizza. We got the thin crust pizza with half cheese half veggies. Who puts cheddar cheese on pizza?? When it was served I was shocked, and when I tasted it I was horrified. This was the worst pizza I've ever had. We took the leftovers home; we shouldn't have, because we just threw them away anyway. Go somewhere where they know how to make a true Italian pizza - not some Americanized cracker topped with unappetizing cheeses. read more

This is the best thin crust pizza we've found in the area. Service is always nice. Their six inch sized pizzas are perfect since my husband and I like completely different things on our pizzas...lets us have our own without breaking the bank. Generally a nice place. But when I ordered carry out the total price seemed high. I questioned the total price by attempting to explain that the prices in the on-line menu are different than what the lady taking my order was rattling off. The only reason why I'm not giving one star is because the staff was really nice and attentive (they forgot to refill our water though). Also they gave my boyfriend and I an extra starter salad since we were splitting our chicken parm. The reason why this review is bad is because he chicken parm was incredibly underwhelming. We paid $14 for what was essentially a bowl of pasta with a plain unseasoned chicken breast thrown in, thin jar-like marina, and a sprinkle of mozzarella on top. Chicken parm is supposed to be breaded or at least contain some parm. I could have made this at home for $5. read more

My freind took me here back in August for my bday and we ordered the pizza which everyone seems to brag about but when i tasted the pizza it was salty and didnt really seem to live up to all the hype that surrounds it. Very good experience over all. My girlfriend and I almost went to The bigger chain pizza place down the street but I am very glad we chose to go with this place. I got a stuffed pizza with sausage and mushrooms. The cheese and sauce were unique and delicious. The waitress was friendly and attentive but not smothering. What happened? The pizza a year or so ago was good. Last night's thin crust wasn't. Didn't even taste like pizza. Totally neutral. If you closed your eyes, you wouldn't even know you were eating pizza. The restaurant was jammed last year and empty last night. Owners should go back to the drawing board. Frankly, I think one has to go to NY or Italy to get good pizza. Geno's East was good 40 years ago, but haven't been there in decades. I have given up on Chicago for pizza. read more

The pizza is delicious - the thin crust is the best we've had in Chicago. The waitstaff was attentive, and the owner even dropped by our table to ensure everything was great.
