This was my 3rd time giving this place a try but I'm sorry it is officially my last attempt. If I could give it 0 stars I would happily. First of all I ordered a 14" cheese and sausage pizza with maybe 1 piece of sausage per slice! The pizza also wet and soggy and barely able to stand on its own, either the crust was just too thin or there was way too much sauce because the inside pieces were, wet(?) is really the best word to describe them. After I paid and got into my car I was asked to come back because apparently they haven't seen some of the newer $20 bills that look like the ones from the '90s. They then accosted me for 10 minutes trying to figure out if it was real and where it came from. Ignoring my attempts to try and show them how to test it. I'm a server in a restaurant that had 3 people including myself, check all 6 of the bills that came in. They're real! Picked up 3 pizzas on Halloween to feed the extended family and everyone loved the pizza! Great sauce and high quality toppings. The sausage will more than satisfy any Chicagoan since we all know what good versions taste like. Pepperoni with just the slightest crisp = Yum! Our family first ordered Pisa when we moved to the area 4 years ago. It was amazing and quickly became a monthly staple for our pizza and movie night. We just received our most recent order and I am extremely disappointed. I was concerned that the menu was much smaller when I placed our order and when I opened the boxes it looked VERY different. The pizza was nowhere close to being as good as it used to be. Very greasy. New sauce? New toppings? I guess there is new ownership (from reading the other recent reviews) that has decided to change almost everything about the pizza. So we ordered for the first time from Pisa Pizza. I thought it was excellent. The sausage was very flavorful the cheese abundant and the sauce was amazing very flavorful as well. My only complaint is that the pizza could have been hotter. It was warm but I like my food like right out of the oven hot. My delivery guy was more than grateful that I was wait g outside for him. TLDR: poor quality and a both times I've had them they forgot to add toppings I paid for. There's a reason this place has spent the last 40 years as a back alley take out joint. A thoroughly disappointing pizza. Let me count the ways. 1. Ordered the ricotta spinach which was supposed to come with tomatoes which they failed to add. I have a big problem with paying for something I didn't get no matter how small, but tomatoes being my fav part of any pizza just makes it worse. 2. The put an obnoxiously large size and amount of onion on to the point it doesn't get cooked through so they may as well advertise this as a raw onion and cheese pizza. Can barely taste anything else. 3. Poor quality undercooked crust which is hard to do when it's thin. 4. Spinach had an off, almost rancid taste. 5. They put the sausage underneath the cheese so it doesn't get cooked thoroughly, as the above mentioned onion surplus. We tried meatball on the other half which is even worse when undercooked. 6. Their location is tough to find, GPS will take you to a mini mall where their sign is but you actually have to drive through an alley and go through a whole expedition to find a small non descript door wedged between two other businesses. They don't bother telling you this on their website. Villa Nova in Stickney will always be best in the area, but this was closer so it was a 2nd chance shot as I had tried their personal sized pizzas in the past which were low quality and ALSO omitted ingredients . I work in the area and read some reviews before deciding on going, I was pleasantly impressed. It's a small spot behind some other businesses along busy Lagrange road and 55th. They have a unique crust that's got a sourdough taste and was cooked to a crisp that I really enjoy. I got a large supreme and the toppings were plentiful with good flavors as well. The owner was nice and had said her father started the original location. The service was quick and they didn't seem busy the day I went. I went a few months ago and haven't been back but I'll definitely be getting more pizza from them in the future. Check the joint out. read more

Been going to Pisa Pizza since they opened in the mid 90s and always enjoyed their pizza. I hear the original owners have left, and I'm a little disappointed on the prices that I got recently. From their website- XL sausage pizza 18.35, green pepper 1.55 Total 19.90 plus tax. My order receipt-XL sausage pizza 18.35, sausage(again)2.80, green pepper 2.80. Service fee .97 2.00 coupon used. Time to update the prices on the web-site, maybe mention the service fee also. And not double charge on ingredients. When it arrived, the first thing we noticed is that it had zero sauce. I have literally never been more confused in my life. We have ordered margherita pizzas from a plethora of pizza establishments and it has always come with the standard marinara sauce. It would be one thing if the menu spelled this out and we just missed it, but no. It literally says nothing about the type of sauce or lack therof for ANY of there pizzas. What makes it worse is that when we called and plead our case, the person on the phone (co-owner?), said that it is "common knowledge" that this type of pizza does not come with pizza sauce... So apparently you have to be some sort of pizza aficionado to properly order pizza from this place because the menu does not state the ingredients correctly. As I stated to this person on the phone, I really do not care about the money, but it's the principal. Just give us a credit for next time so that we can order a normal pizza now that we know the rules. But no, we were only offered a $5 credit... The ingredients that we tasted were awesome - fresh, and delicious. That is the only reason I am not giving this place a horrible rating. I just want everyone to know that if you order a margherita pizza from Pisa's and foolishly think you are going to receive a pizza, you are wrong. You are going to receive a dry circle of cheese bread with chunks tomato and basil. I really wish their menu was clear because I can tell from what I tasted that their normal pizza is likely delicious. Ordered delivery from here twice now. It arrives fast and piping hot. Thin crust with pepperoni is great. The sauce is rich and fresh, the crust has excellent crispy crunch. Order the pizza, it's in the name of the place after all. I did not care for our small order of hot wings. The texture of the wings was gelatinous. The sauce on the pizza is really tasty. The salad was really good. Reason for the 4 stars is the food was delivered after the expected delivery time. I did receive an update which extended the delivery time another 15 minutes. But still didn't get the food until another 15 minutes after that.
