Disappointing! My first trip to the restaurant. It is cute and clean, family friendly atmosphere. We planned on getting a pizza after a movie. Weather was cold and the hour was getting late (9PM) so we ordered a pizza to go on the phone. When I arrived at Ledo's, the pie wasn't ready, so I waited with my friend waiting in the car. After about 20 minutes I was told my pizza order hadn't gone in (it really wasn't busy) and they could make it then. It was getting late, friend was waiting in the now cold car so I declined. Refund was given, and manager offered to deliver the pizza (I live out of their delivery area). I declined. She offered a gift card for a pizza, but I declined that as well. My family had their yearly Christmas Party on Sunday December 14th, and we all had an exceptionally outstanding time at Ledo's Pizza. We'd like to send our appreciation to Mia, our waitress for the evening, who brought excellent customer service, communication, and a smile anytime she walked into the room. Our food consisted of buffalo wings and chicken tenders as appetizers that were quite frankly so delicious that they were all gone within a couple minutes and of course the fantastic thin crust pizza that filled everyone up. We stopped here for a late-ish dinner last Saturday. We had the onion rings as an appetizer, they had good flavor, the breading was crisp, and they came out hot. The service was great! However the food was very disappointing. The chicken was like cardboard, and the spaghetti? A soup. And the parmesan cheese WILL be covering the entire meal. I had to literally dig through the cheese just to eat the spaghetti. The bright side is that with the amount of tomato sauce left over, you can make tomato soup! We were staying in a hotel nearby for a basketball tournament and this was the only place out of all the calls we made that could accommodate a large group on a Saturday night (18 people). You go up to the counter to order, which worked well for us so we didnt have to figure out the check at the end. Only thing I wasn't a fan of was the last 2 people to order got their food before the first 2 people who ordered. There really was no organization to the order the food came out. When I have a great meal here I like to let others know. Our meal on Friday March 10 was just one of those meals. Three people, we ordered an eight inch well done cheese pizza, a twelve inch sausage and pepperoni pizza, a ten piece wing order (plain, sauce on the side), a large order of fries (I still contend that Ledo's has the best fries in Chicagoland), two beers and a soft drink. There wasn't one single thing to moan about. Each item was fresh and hot, received as ordered, and tasted awfully good. I don't have her name as I wasn't the one who paid for the meal, but at approximately 11:30 am the young lady taking the order couldn't have been friendlier and it was nice dealing with her. The restaurant, as almost always, was very clean and comfortable. At any other pizza joint this order would have been unmanageable at a four seat table. With Ledo's type of seating there is plenty of room to relax and enjoy your meal. We had the place to ourselves for a short time, then the screaming kids came in. I understand this is a family style place but I really do wish parents didn't let their kids run wild and scream. Seeing kids having a good time is nice, parents need to not let the kids go to extremes. Still, we three adults left in a good mood after an extremely tasty lunch. read more

Since the original owners passed away, this business has gone from a packed house on weekends to a completely empty restaurant in a Friday night. We ordered a pizza for pick up and arrived early to get it. We were told it would be 40 minutes. We prepaid We waited and after an hour since ordering we asked about our pizza. The teenager said it would be another 15-20 minutes. She stated the pizza order was put in 38 minutes earlier. My daughter disagreed but again we waited. 20 minutes later the pizza came up but the server turned her back to us and didn't respond or give us the pizza. Teenagers running the place an employee came out of the kitchen and gave it to us. The pizza was disappointing. Mushrooms o longer fresh but canned. The sausage gas changed not the original recipe after years of craving Ledo's, it's now just a middle of the road pizza and not worth the effort to get there. read more

Beware of the young phone girl, she was downright lazy and irresponsible. I gave her my address, she repeated it and then wrote it down incorrectly. I gave her my two ingredient pizza order, she repeated it and then placed an incorrect order. Well I think we finally have to find a new pizza place. The last several times the service has been very slow but the food was always fresh and hot upon pickup so we kept going back. Unfortunately, tonight sealed the deal. My husband placed an online order at 5:47 pm and our food was still not ready over 75 minutes later. When he got there all he was told was that it wasn't ready yet. After waiting for 20 minutes, he asked the staff what was going on and he was told that they were still waiting on one of the pizzas. The business manager on here likes to say that customers should bring things to their attention right away so that they can address the problem immediately. Yet when my husband, nicely, tried to talk to staff they were abrupt, rude, and made him feel like he was annoying them. He finally got home with the food 90 minutes after placing the order and 2/3rd of the food was cold. They must've not thrown the second pizza in until after my husband showed up for pickup. Really good spot for pizza and to bring a larger group. We're not from the area but we needed a spot to host about 18 people, mostly teens. We figured pizza would be the way to go. After finding them on Yelp, we called ahead to see if they would be able to accommodate us. Melissa was super friendly over the phone, not only did she reserve the time we needed but she let us preorder so that as soon as we got there our food was ready. Did I mention we had a bunch of teens? Having the food come out right after we sat down cut down on a lot of the potential chaos a group that size can have. So I was extremely grateful for that. Once we got there Melissa and the rest of the staff continued to be extremely friendly and accommodating. But the definite star of this place is their thin crust pizza. Simply delicious. It's too bad we don't live close by because if I lived in the area they would definitely be my go to spot. As far as the reviews that are complaining about price, this is unfortunately the world we live in. The price of everything has gone up, even Little Caesars has raised its prices and let's face it, their pizza stinks. The only way that any business can survive in this current environment where the cost of doing business is constantly going up, especially for a small family owned restaurant, is by passing on some of that cost to the consumer. It's just basic economics. Besides, it's not like their prices are outrageous. They are in line with any other quality restaurant of this type. I for one, do not mind paying for quality. My family and I had dinner here last night, it was a good visit. You order everything you want at the front counter, so they do not have table service, but the girl that took our order was very friendly and did a great job explaining the menu and how to order what we wanted since we've never been here before. I like how comfortable the restaurant was and they had tv's going and some games to play to keep your kids busy. This place has been around for a long time as I have seen in other reviews and I see why, the pizza was very tasty and we also tried the garlic bread which was a bit dry but still tasty. Now I only had one problem with this restaurant which was the long wait we had for our food. I figured the garlic bread would've been out quick but I think they forgot to bring it out because we got it along with our pizza. Now I'm not sure if because it was a Saturday night but it took about 40 minutes till we finally got our stuff, wasn't to happy about that, but as I said might've just been because it was Saturday night.
