The HoHoHoglunds were so tickled to celebrate Ava Jeane's First Birthday with her family and their friends yesterday. You could tell that the servers really wanted folks to enjoy good food and hospitality! We had such a nice chat with Ledo's owner. I have a love hate relationship with Ledo's. The pizza and salad are delicious but I hate how expensive it is. I think the salad bar could be cheaper if you're ordering a pizza. The employees are always pleasant. Bonus for the games in the corner. Very disappointed on my last visit. Ordered a steak sandwich (have ordered this in the past), and it was terrible. The steak was so thin, that you could not hardly taste it (my ordered was plain, so there were no toppings on it), the bread was hard at the ends and not fresh at all. It was if it was day old bread that was microwave and cooled off. There were no prices on the board. For the amount of money I paid, it was not worth it at all. I will never order a steak sandwich there again. We used to ordered wine by the cafe and their choices were limited, use to offer more choices. As, I mentioned we were very disappointed and will rethink if we will visit again. read more

Decided to stop since I was in the area and order with my daughter for lunch. Placed our order for the xtra thin crust pizza at 11:25am. No idea why but it took until 12:10pm for the pizza to be done. we just got two pizzas from Ledo's and they were so delicious! I used to go to Ledo's when I was a child and always loved going there. Disappointing! My first trip to the restaurant. It is cute and clean, family friendly atmosphere. We planned on getting a pizza after a movie. Weather was cold and the hour was getting late (9PM) so we ordered a pizza to go on the phone. When I arrived at Ledo's, the pie wasn't ready, so I waited with my friend waiting in the car. After about 20 minutes I was told my pizza order hadn't gone in (it really wasn't busy) and they could make it then. It was getting late, friend was waiting in the now cold car so I declined. Refund was given, and manager offered to deliver the pizza (I live out of their delivery area). I declined. She offered a gift card for a pizza, but I declined that as well. We stopped here for a late-ish dinner last Saturday. We had the onion rings as an appetizer, they had good flavor, the breading was crisp, and they came out hot. The pizza we ordered came out hot, the cheese was thick and chewy. It was fairly good, though otherwise unremarkable. The atmosphere was busy. There were lots of families that seemed to be enjoying themselves. My family had their yearly Christmas Party on Sunday December 14th, and we all had an exceptionally outstanding time at Ledo's Pizza. We'd like to send our appreciation to Mia, our waitress for the evening, who brought excellent customer service, communication, and a smile anytime she walked into the room. Our food consisted of buffalo wings and chicken tenders as appetizers that were quite frankly so delicious that they were all gone within a couple minutes and of course the fantastic thin crust pizza that filled everyone up. The service was great! However the food was very disappointing. The chicken was like cardboard, and the spaghetti? A soup. And the parmesan cheese WILL be covering the entire meal. I had to literally dig through the cheese just to eat the spaghetti. The bright side is that with the amount of tomato sauce left over, you can make tomato soup! Love the pizza! Cheese, sausage, peppers and onions are our favorite. Also, the breaded mushrooms are a must!! Order at the counter and wait for your number to be called. We get a carafe of wine to sip while waiting for our order to be ready. You can also order ahead of time and let them know you'll be eating there. We've been going to Ledo's for years but I have noticed how they've been nickel and diming every little thing. Went to pick up and order and were told fries and coleslaw were now extra charges. While I get the increase in food costs, I would question it less if the increase appeared in the sandwich and not as a separate menu item. Better places to go without the rip! read more

We were staying in a hotel nearby for a basketball tournament and this was the only place out of all the calls we made that could accommodate a large group on a Saturday night (18 people). You go up to the counter to order, which worked well for us so we didnt have to figure out the check at the end. Only thing I wasn't a fan of was the last 2 people to order got their food before the first 2 people who ordered. There really was no organization to the order the food came out. When I have a great meal here I like to let others know. Our meal on Friday March 10 was just one of those meals. Three people, we ordered an eight inch well done cheese pizza, a twelve inch sausage and pepperoni pizza, a ten piece wing order (plain, sauce on the side), a large order of fries (I still contend that Ledo's has the best fries in Chicagoland), two beers and a soft drink. There wasn't one single thing to moan about. Each item was fresh and hot, received as ordered, and tasted awfully good. I don't have her name as I wasn't the one who paid for the meal, but at approximately 11:30 am the young lady taking the order couldn't have been friendlier and it was nice dealing with her. The restaurant, as almost always, was very clean and comfortable. At any other pizza joint this order would have been unmanageable at a four seat table. With Ledo's type of seating there is plenty of room to relax and enjoy your meal. We had the place to ourselves for a short time, then the screaming kids came in. I understand this is a family style place but I really do wish parents didn't let their kids run wild and scream. Seeing kids having a good time is nice, parents need to not let the kids go to extremes. Still, we three adults left in a good mood after an extremely tasty lunch. read more

I e been coming here since the business opened in the 1970's from a small strip mall business across the street. Since the original owners passed away, this business has gone from a packed house on weekends to a completely empty restaurant in a Friday night. We ordered a pizza for pick up and arrived early to get it. We were told it would be 40 minutes. We prepaid We waited and after an hour since ordering we asked about our pizza. The teenager said it would be another 15-20 minutes. She stated the pizza order was put in 38 minutes earlier. My daughter disagreed but again we waited. 20 minutes later the pizza came up but the server turned her back to us and didn't respond or give us the pizza. Teenagers running the place an employee came out of the kitchen and gave it to us. The pizza was disappointing. Mushrooms o longer fresh but canned. The sausage gas changed not the original recipe after years of craving Ledo's, it's now just a middle of the road pizza and not worth the effort to get there. read more

This was my favorite pizza place for 40+ years. However, the service and the food are now sub-par. It took over 3 hours to get my pizza. I ordered it at 4 pm and it didn't arrive until 7:30 pm. The pizza wasn't hot, and the managers' reply was that they do not guarantee delivery times. Save your money order from anywhere else! These people don't care about customer service or losing business!!! So sad...40+ years of loyalty, and they don't care read more
