    Cassava dessert

The wait here usually gets really long as they have limited seatings. Love the smell of all the dessert soup when you walk in. Serving size is generous and they're really generous with the toppings.

they now have membership sign up in store Gain points for rewards. The dessert was good and not too sweet same quality as the just opened no changes. Keep it up

Trying the viral Hk dessert place at Commerce Gate and I'm impressed! The store was packed on a Friday night, so I got take out instead. The store was clean and kinda spacious although it looked small. Got the mango coconut purple rice and supreme cassava & taro ball bowl. Wait time was about 5 minutes so definitely quick service. The mangos were huge and they gave quite a bit. The coconut milk was really refreshing and the taro balls were chewy and good. I think I prefer the mango purple rice because it was a bit more sweet. Legit containers and packaging! Cash was 10% off.

Chinese desserts, price is comparable, desserts are not too sweet which is great! tried Durian milk pudding, very creamy with real Durian topping, the cassava is ok

This is a really nice dessert spot with friendly staff. The menu isn't huge, but a lot of the mango items are beautifully made. The portions are solid too, and the mango flavor is tasty. Definitely one of the reasons I will return. The store is kind of small, so you might see a bit of a lineup, but it usually moves quickly since people tend to come in and out fast. Overall, it is a great place and I would certainly recommend it!

A new Chinese dessert spot in Thornhill and it's a huge hit! This place is so good that I've been back 3 times already, with take out and dining in. On my first visit when they were very new the place was empty when I was getting take out, but as the weeks continued and news got out about a new dessert spot in town, the lines were insane! Worth all the hype though. Fresh mango coconut purple rice 5/5 - My absolute favourite and I've gotten it all three times I visited. Big chunks of mango with the purple rice and coconut milk all tastes so well balanced together. Double-skinned milk pudding 5/5 - This was great and especially good if you get their other mango mochi dessert to go with it. Mango mochi with ice cream 5/5 - This was so refreshing and delicious. My only suggestion is that they should add some sago to this to make it a mango sago like dessert. I felt like I was just drinking mango juice with this dessert - regardless it was delicious though. Overall, I love this place and will be back multiple times to come. Their take out packaging is nicely packed with high quality take out packaging/ portions. Dining in is a much better vibe imo since it's fresh and their bowls are cute with the traditional Chinese feel. Check them out!

When we reached Auntie Dessert, there was a lot of people hanging outside, waiting for their turn for desserts. The wait time for 7 of us was around 15 mins. The restaurant could be bigger, but it is what it is. And all 7 of us were seated at this table that fits 4 people comfortably. The QR code that we scanned was kind of confusing. It collects everyone's orders instead of just mine. But when the desserts came, we were impressed. The mango chunks were huge, and they didn't cheap out. The bowl was filled to the brim! I'd definitely go back.

FINALLY! A delicious Hong Kong dessert shop which cuts the overcrowded bubble tea plaza (AHEM, yes I'm calling you out Commerce Court). Auntie Dessert offers refreshing hot and cold HK dessert classics, including milk pudding, coconut purple rice, red bean soup, and the famously popular mango-themed items. My wife loves Double-Skin Milk Pudding , which is always incredibly smooth and sweet. It would be nice if Auntie Dessert could offer a made-to-order hot version, but having a cold-only version definitely helps cut down on the wait times. On the other hand, I absolutely love mango so naturally I always go for any of the mango dishes. I've had both the Super Mango Mochi Bowl and the Mango Milk Pudding, and I can definitively say the former is my favourite. It's slightly more expensive at $11.99, but Auntie Dessert absolutely STACKS THE MANGO. I don't think I've come across a shop which gives such a generous portion of sweet, fiber-free mango. The bowl has large chunks of real mango surrounded by chewy mochi balls sitting inside a mango puree soup. Everything about this dish is mango-oriented, which makes it really sweet and honestly really value. This cute little shop seems to always be busy at night, but don't let the line deter you. Tables turnover really quickly, so you'll never be out waiting long. Oh and wait. Last best thing about this shop? They take AMEX. Enough said.

Came here after dinner as I was craving Chinese dessert. I ordered their mango mochi for takeout and it was delicious!! Mangos were sweet and the mango soup?was delicious as well. Mochis didn't have taste but I like chewy stuff so I enjoyed it.

The individual New Century slow boiled soup is hardest to share but secure some empty bowls and you can divide the hefty portion. In the winter, there's a silkiness to the piping hot consommé that sooths a dry throat and has an umami essence infused with abalone, ginseng, and pork. There's plenty to choose from in the house signature combo platter including roasted duck, soy sauce chicken, BBQ pork, pork slices, and seaweed salad. Saving my stomach for the later dishes, I had a taste of the duck (a good start with crispy skin) and BBQ pork (satisfactory and well flavoured). With the generous portion of chicken in the combo platter, the slow cooked chicken with abalone broth seemed like overkill. I've never been a huge fan of this dish that's served cold since I prefer chicken hot. Still, I understand it's the jelly layer between the skin and meat that people enjoy. And to be fair, the chicken was tender, and New Century certainly didn't skimp on the ginger and scallion oil. For those who tend to fill-up before the "main dishes", the stars of the combo arrive mid-meal. The stir-fried Vancouver crabs with silver fish in HK style spicy sauce needs to be eaten at arrival as the crunchy coating is best straight from the fryer. And despite not looking spicy, the dish has a light heat that permeates in the background. Additionally, the crab was fresh and meaty, cooked well so it remained delicately flakey. The amount of sweet and sticky sauce used in the stir-fried lobsters with scallion in Maggie sauce was well balanced, lightly covering the crustaceans. Both lobsters were substantial; even after eating many pieces, we still had plenty of leftovers. This is a long review head to Gastro World for the rest.

All sorts of protein and vegetable options including fried rice and noodles. They have a page in the menu the focuses on their key dishes or favourites. There is a number of dishes that need to be ordered in advance and the menu clearly states this. In general the food was quite good. Really good wok hei. So what went wrong? We had reservations for 6 pm on a Thursday night. When we arrived it was half full so there was lots of availability. We were asked if we need help with ordering and due to the number of items and our in decisive elders we said we needed time to look and decide. Unfortunately we were not left alone to decide and the server just stood there waiting. We felt rushed. The fist dish came out quickly and it was another 5-10 minutes before the next dish came out. When it looked like we were almost done eating, dessert and the bill was brought out, we were not asked if we were done or were ready for dessert. When the bill arrived you can tell we were expected to pay right away and leave. This was not a leisurely family dinner. If the restaurant was busy I would say they wanted the table back but there were lots of tables available and no customers waiting. Total time 65 minutes. Again, food was okay but the service made it a very negative experience.

Fried tofu - 2 ways 5/5 - So good since you get the soft tofu version and a fried tofu skin version. Razor clams 5/5 - So plump and meaty. Worth every penny for this. Salt and pepper fried smelt 5/5 - I love fried smelt so this is a no brainer for me. Great crisp to this. Overall, a solid spot for a Chinese diner. Dishes add up pretty quickly but worth the price tag!

Once we were seated, the food came out in under 5 minutes for everyone, which was honestly impressive considering how busy they were. Prices are about average for an HK café and the food was decent. We all ordered the satay beef instant noodles (沙嗲牛肉公仔麵), so I can't really comment on the rest of the menu yet. The highlight for me was definitely the drinks. Both the Hong Kong-style milk tea (奶茶) and yuenyeung (鴛鴦) had a nice bold, authentic flavour that's getting harder to find these days. Overall, a solid spot for Hong Kong-style comfort food, and I'd definitely come back to try more of the menu.

It feels immersive and intentional, almost like stepping into a countryside home in Dongbei rather than a typical restaurant.
