The gentleman who helped me looked out for my best interest in sourcing the best, yet most cost effective tires. We were able to put in an appointment and come get my tires swapped out seamlessly. The front desk was friendly (ask for Randall or Jeff), the mechanics do good work. My four new tires were replaced and balanced in one hour and fifteen minutes on a Saturday (as a counter example Sam's and Goodyear have taken around 3 hours to do the same work). I called around to compare prices and Marc Yount's was cheaper than every tire place within 15 minutes of my apartment including Jim Whitehead and Tires Plus. Four Michelin Defender's for my 2011 Focus were 599$ (total walk out price after taxes). When comparing tire prices be SURE to ask for the walk-out price, balances and new valves can vary, as can service fees and other bull. You get FREE TIRE ROTATION, you read that right. I came back to pick it up, and old Marc with his hippy powerboat days well behind him, leaned forward and said "you and I have to have a talk..." "Your rear axle seals are shot, and I don't eve know what I'm going to find when I open that pumpkin (meaning differential)." An off-the-cuff estimate was $2500+ It was a condition I was aware of... just brake seals, not axle seals. They were leaking on the inside of the RR back tire, and rather than be honest or investigate further, they took me for a fool and threw rear axle seals in the mix, a $2500 repair that wasn't needed. I'm 100k further down the road and my axle seals are still fine. The blonde old hippie is a shyster, and his squeaky mouthpiece at the desk is just a minion. I went there because I thought they did good, honest work. But this was my last day ever since... can't re-build that kind of trust.

My Step Daughter drives my truck as her regular vehicle and called me this morning saying it was making a squealing noise and thought it was the brakes. She drops it off at Goodyear and they check out the brakes and the front end and I get a call saying, "well, I'd love to sell you something but we can't find anything wrong with it!" I almost dropped the phone! They could have easily done an unnecessary brake job and I never would have known better. My hat's off to these folks...good to know there are people out there you can still trust!

This Goodyear helped an out-of-towner with an emergency fix get on the road as quickly as possible…read more I was visiting Augusta over the weekend for an event when my car broke down - it just refused to start after a quick errand. I had to leave it overnight due to being expected at another event and not having anyone to help me get it started until the next day. On Sunday, I went back to the car and with the help of a family member was able to get it going. While this was happening, my dad was calling around every auto repair shop in town to see who could fix a car on a Sunday since I had to be back in my actual town on Monday. Unfortunately no one had the part needed in stock, but this Goodyear - and the technician, Will, who worked with us - was more than happy to fix it immediately when the part became available. I dropped it off Sunday and knew that first thing Monday morning they'd be working on it. They were wonderful about communicating with me - I called in the morning to get a time estimate, which they happily gave. Later, they found out the part would take longer for delivery and they immediately called to let me know. Once the car was done, they called me right away. I went to pick it up and everything was perfect - I was able to get back on the road for my two hour drive with full confidence. I know this is long, but I wanted to share the story - their positive attitudes and willingness to help really made a big difference to me in what was a very stressful situation. A new one cost me $130.00. Stay away from Augusta Tires. I would not recommend them at all. They did not honor a return either. Pathetic!!!
