One night I was driving to the movies and all kinds of lights came on my instrument panel of my…read morecar. It started to jerk and shake. My car is fairly new and shouldn't have any mechanical problems now, so I was kind of puzzled. I had half a tank of gas as well. Then, when I was close to my destination my car shut off. I was by myself so I eventually had to push the car out of the street. I thought it was running hot or something so I went to the movie and let it cool off. When I came back it still wouldn't crank. I got on Yelp and looked for towing company. I called a few before this one the other ones didn't answer the phone. I called this one and they picked up. I spoke with an employee here and she got my information and location. The tow would be $50, I specifically asked her did they take debit/credit cards because I don't carry cash at all. She advised me they did and it would be a small fee to process it. It took the tow truck over 15 minutes to get to my location. He gave my battery a boost but my car was still making strange noises. After he let the battery charge for a minute he suggested I needed an oil change. It wasn't time for one but he knows more about cars than me. When it was time to pay he told me that he didn't have his square reader to accept my card, so I had to take money out of an ATM, which I deducted a star for. The employee on the phone assured me he would be able to take it and he should always keep it with him. When I took my car to the dealership the next morning the mechanic said that I needed a new battery and that's funny, because they told me that the last time I got an oil change that it would be time for a new battery soon and I should have listened but I didn't. I had already spent a lot of money with them that day. Good thing I wasn't on a road trip or in the boondocks anywhere, I would have been in trouble. So people if your mechanic advise you about something please take it into consideration or get it done!!!

Unfortunately, my son's car had been towed. My Son contacted Vern's Towing Service and advised them of the situation. Vern's Towing Service was kind enough to make a refund to my son on the account of the misunderstanding and mix up. Nice to know that Vern's is supportive of our US Troops and made a difference in a Soldiers life who is dedicating his life to protect our freedom!! Thank You!!
