Amazing place!! Yesterday I went to Audrey to get a facial. From the moment I walked in I was welcomed by warm smiles from the all the staff. The space looked impeccably clean. Everything was in its placed and everything was new. The esthetician jola was amazing.!!! She explained all the steps she was doing so nothing was unexpected. She explain what the products she was using where, & what they were for. During the extractions she gave me a "heads up " in the area where she would put more pressure , yet I barely felt pain!! She is incredibly gentile. The music was so soothing, I was able to relax and unwind! I could see the results immediately. I was astonished how cleaned my face was.In particular my "t " zone area was( this area was the most affected cover in blackheads) after it was done there was minimal ; close to none redness! my skin was shinny! After the facial was done jola detailed a simple regimen I should use to get the best results. All with the current cleanser and toner I have . She was so amicable that she answered ALL of my questions,even repeated the answers over and over again when I asked. I was not asked or pressured to buy any of the products they have in their shelves. (unlike my usual spot dermalogica in soho) Before raving about Audrey I wanted to wait a day to see if I would get any scaring/ or any reaction to the products. When I woke up the this morning my face had never felt clean and radiant.! My face feels smooth as a baby bottom, and no need for makeup to cover blackhead..! ___ better UPDATE! (did anyone know that you cannot publish your review from your iphone?? apparently you must logg on from a computer so you can publish) ___________ UPDATE! It's been 3 weeks and I have followed her recommendation of the regimen I should use for my face. And the changes are noticeable! Not only does my skin look better (with much less blackheads, and whiteheads) but the amount of breakouts have diminished significantly.! I went to see Yola aka the owner of Audrey after googling spas in Williamsburg. I had been here since April 2007 at that point and it was December and was still in need of a nice place to go for facials and waxing. To my surpise, here was this cute and oh so nice spa in the heart of hipster land. I went as a birthday treat and got my brows done and a facial, and a bikini wax. I know, right? Who the hell wants to get waxed down there on their birthday? Yola is great, so nice, and she knows what she is doing. Her brow waxes are virtually painless whether you choose regular wax or sensitive. Her prices are reasonable compared to what I used to spend for the same services in Memphis. My skin was better after one facial and if I was still living in the neighborhood I would be there all of the time. She doesn't try to sell you crap....she'll say eat right, drink water, and be healthy....oh and use oatmeal that you can buy anywhere for a few bucks. She's great at customizing tint for your brows and your eyelashes. My brows look AMAZING after she waxes and tints them. She's meticulous and she doesn't overwax and make you look odd....you look very natural and beautiful. Mia Mia is a skincare shop down the street and when I mentioned I went to her the owner of the store had nothing but solid praise for Yola. She is well respected as she should be. The atmosphere at this salon is always pleasant and the staff are exceeding polite and attentive. I was quite surprised to see a disappointed costumer walk in and immediately start at heated conversation without reason. I was even more surprised to find that she had written a review on yelp about it. Usually yelp I find has super reviews of businesses and gives costumers a true look at them hence their slogan" real people. real reviews". I was shocked to find that the same woman who had walked in to stir trouble for no apparent reason post a horrid and accusatory review. This woman lashed out at for no apparent reason simply to criticize and demoralize the staff and service going as far as to use unsavory language to prove her point. I felt this was unfair for people who depend on these reviews to see a lie posted so bluntly that when someone that may need a service that this salon offers would not go simply because of it. I've always had the notion that a salon is a place where you go to be pampered and to feel relaxed and at ease. The prices and the service are one of a kind especially for this economy and my experience there has always been grand. I've had the manicure and pedicure done and it was a wonderful time. I feel that as a consumer I wish to always know the truth and it is a true shame when other costumers will lie and be biased simply because they wish to be difficult and stir up trouble. read more

BEST FACIAL ON EITHER COAST. The owner, Yola, is a master and has decades of experience. I have really sensitive, congested skin and she is the only person I will go to now. I have been to all the fancy spas in NY, SF, LA, and SD, but no one has touched my face in years now but her. I no longer live in Brooklyn, but I travel from the West Village for Yola's magic touch. It also might as well be an amazing therapy session. Or if you are not in the mood to talk, she is totally attentive to that. I cannot speak more highly of this woman and her business and the way she runs it. Don't be fooled by the cheap price of the facial (around $80), it will be the best one you ever have, with zero redness and not a pore unturned. Love you Yola! I first met Yola (the owner of Audrey) in 1995 when she worked at a spa on Bleecker Street. I went to her once a month for upper leg/bikini wax and became dependent on her reliable and excellent service. Over the years when I had to go to someone else here and there (if Yola was out of town or I was out of town, etc...) it was truly a nightmare. When she opened her own spa a few years ago I followed her there. I live in uptown Manhattan and go all the way to Williamsburg because of Yola - her warmth, her beautiful way of making you feel comfortable in the strangest position :), her great sense of humor, and simply the fact that she is the best in the business. If you are looking for a top quality spa at reasonable rates - for any of the offered services - and a cozy, comfortable, fun vibe Audrey is your place. I would give it 10 stars if there was such a rating! read more

First opinion as i walk in to Audrey: clean, welcoming, and very relaxing atmosphere. I love the receptionist there... the one with the curly hair. she makes me laugh every time i'm waiting... which, if i may add, is not a long time. I walk in and get helped right away! anyway... last month i treated myself and got a wax... EVERYWHERE, a manicure and pedicure wax= painless, quick and thorough. oh and my crappy eyebrows are fixed and GORGEOUS. perfect. mani and pedi= lovely service. honnestly, the longest mani/pedi i have ever had. they shaped my nails so nicely. and my cuticles are gone :) but seriously my manicure lasted over a week, and pedicure like 2 weeks. i don't know how they do it but hey it's awesome! i love love LOVE Audrey Spa and will keep going back :) five star read more

Hey, I am new to yelp but figured I'll start with this spa. Went in last week to get a facial. The esthetician was very polite and gentle. She asked me if I ever had a facial before and told me what to do to get ready. Before puting any products on my face she asked if I was allergic to anything and if it hurt, before proceeding. She explained what she was going to do and what was needed, without pushing me to buy any products. (I thought that was a big plus because normally salons/spas try to rip you off with selling something and making you pay loads of money). Hands down the best facial and waxing in New York! I have tried every "best in NY" place and none of them hold a candle to Yola. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my eyebrows, which she shapes perfectly every time despite a scar I have running through one of them. Also, Audrey is a real family business (Yola's daughter works the front desk and I've even seen her husband planting flowers outside!) and Yola totally makes me feel part of the family every time I go. That is why I come all the way from Manhattan -- and so my friends. I've read some of the bad reviews here and wonder "Maybe it is her competition writing them?" I have been going to Audrey's since it opened and tried almost all services they offer (did not try tanning as it is new, and i like the sun anyway). The place is VERY clean, and services are done superbly: now that i know what good arch of eyebrows does to my face, how good my face feels after careful and thourough cleaning, and how healing a massage by Paul can be, I AM NOT GOING ANYWHERE ELSE. And waxing????? Yola is a wax queen....word of advise, if you know you have sensitive skin, or going for brazilian, pay a little extra for the special wax for sensitive skin and you will be ready for action that day.....I was!!!! read more

Went here for a brazilian. It was recommended by a friend as I have never had one done before. It is a very clean place and I thought the decor was nice. The staff was sweet and it was smiles all around. They were helpful with information on what the difference was between regular wax and sensitive wax, and YES there was a difference! Anyway Bridgett did my wax, she was very helpful in what to do and when to do so. There was soothing music which definitely helped and she always had something to say to keep my mind off of what was going on. I'm not sure if the salon was overbooked or I just got unlucky, but I wasn't at all impressed with the service I received here. After three years of brazillians, this is the first time anyone has actually made me bleed. And yes, the wax was over in 10 minutes but it was by no means finished. When I questioned my waxer about the amount of hair left over (seriously, more hair than the first time I got waxed) she told me I could finish it at home with a set of tweezers. Two stars because the sensitive wax really does make a difference, but I definitely won't be going back. read more

I'm not going to lie, I am a very picky person about the way my body is taken care of, but at Audrey's I didn't have a single complaint to make. The salon looked beautiful and warm. My friends told me about Audrey and I gave it a try. The place itself is cute and plays a good sirus station. So far so good. I went in for a bz wax and came out super happy !! I am glad I decided to get a manicure also because I felt like a new woman and got compliments on my nails all weekend. I love Audrey Spa ! This salon is great ! It's nice, clean, and most important, everyone does a great job at what they do. I've been there a only few times but when i did come, the service would be excellent and superb. My manicure would last for more than a week. My Brazilian wax was surprisingly less painful than i thought it would be and during it i didn't bleed at all unlike all the other times in other places. This is where I go for all my waxing needs. The girls working there are no-nonsense technicians. My sensitive skin never burns and my stubble is almost never ingrown. I got a lot of practical advice from the owner of spa about caring for my skin between the waxes. They sell Tend Skin roll-ons. They really work. So now instead of bumps and inflamed follicles that leave my calves all in brown spots, I have a smother, softer regrowth and spotless skin. I go here often and I finally decided to rate them. Ladies, if you care about your body go to Audrey Spa! The staff is sweet and knowledgeable. I went in for a full spa day so I had a mani, pedi, and wax. The music was perfect, I was completely relaxed. The young receptionist helped me pick colors out for my nails and I only say this because I received many compliments from strangers. For my wax I went with the regular wax and it really didn't hurt. 5 STAR SERVICE FROM 5 STAR ESTHETICIANS !!! My friend and I have went there about 5 times this year for a girl's getaway and had great stays every time. Bridget did an amazing job on our nails and we both were able to receive our wax services at the same time. I LOVE AUDREYS! When I first moved to NYC I was staying in Williamsburg and stumbled upon Audrey's for a bikini and leg wax. Jola was lovely, thorough, fast and very professional. I love Audrey spa.. it's the cleanest, nicest, friendliest place in the 11211. They do a great job on nails... very detailed leaving your hands/feet so thoroughly cleaned up... I like that they give you a few extra minutes massage as well as opposed to slapping some lotion on your feet and moving on.
